Transcript [00:00] How it started. [00:01] >> I'll tell you what I think my solution [00:02] is. Tell me what you think about this. [00:04] >> And how it ended. [00:06] >> That's not bad idea. That's not a That's [00:07] not a bad idea. It's not a bad idea. [00:10] It's not at all. [00:23] >> And I mean next to goods. [00:25] You know what I mean? [00:26] >> Next to goods. [00:28] >> Yeah, yeah. How about you, bro? Where [00:29] are you from? [00:31] >> In goods. [00:33] >> Amazing. [00:35] How come you're in America? How come [00:36] you're not here? [00:37] Why did you leave? [00:38] >> I live in I study in I study in America. [00:40] >> Yeah, we both study here. [00:42] >> You're both You're both from goods? [00:45] >> Yep. [00:46] >> Amazing. So, bro, I'm on here [00:49] making videos about the conflict. [00:51] >> Okay, talk to me. [00:53] >> Do you Do you have positions? Do you [00:54] have views? [00:56] >> Yeah, it depends on which conflict [00:57] exactly that you're talking about cuz [00:58] there's so much going on. [01:00] >> Just in general. Is it Is it really [01:02] Palestinian? [01:03] >> There's There's three in this. If you're [01:04] going to talk about generally right now [01:06] generally right now after like the We're [01:09] going to talk [01:10] about right now. What's going on in the [01:13] West Bank is terrible. First of that if [01:15] we're going to talk about like something [01:16] that's completely one-sided [01:17] >> So So let's [01:19] let's jump in the West Bank cuz I was [01:20] there today. I was with some Bedouin. [01:22] I'd be very interested in your thoughts. [01:25] >> Okay. So, I have family also in the West [01:27] Bank. They're from a small village. [01:29] Right? [01:30] So, in the in the small village, this is [01:31] my mom's side of the family. [01:34] So, in the small village, they [01:35] constantly have settler problems. As in [01:37] 6 days ago, settlers they they came into [01:40] the they came into the village at night [01:42] and they set one of the mosques on fire. [01:45] >> Ah, no. Are you from Mukhmus? [01:48] >> Yep, exactly. From Mukhmus. [01:50] >> Yeah, yeah, yeah. [01:50] >> That was very It was very crazy. [01:53] >> So, Mukhmus is nice, bro. Your family's [01:55] He's money. [01:57] >> [laughter] [01:59] >> It's my mom's side of the family. [02:03] >> What what what happened? What's the So, [02:05] I don't know what happened with Mukmas [02:06] exactly. I saw the images. [02:08] >> What I What I know What I know is that [02:10] they came in in the night, maybe around [02:13] I don't know exactly. It was dark. It [02:14] was very dark. It was like late at [02:16] night, probably after like 11:00 p.m. [02:18] >> Late at night. [02:20] >> They came in. They came in. They They [02:22] went There's like a little place in [02:23] Mukmas where they They call it the top [02:25] of the village basically. Like the Like [02:27] the top of the village basically. [02:29] >> Yeah. [02:29] >> Like that's where like the house There's [02:30] a bunch of houses and people that live [02:32] there. There's a small mosque there. [02:33] It's not the main mosque, but it's a [02:34] small one that all the women go to. [02:37] >> And [02:38] >> It's like the women's mosque [02:38] specifically. [02:40] So, they They came. They broke glass. [02:43] And then they threw I think I I [02:45] think maybe like uh Molotov Molotov I [02:47] think they threw through it. [02:48] >> Yeah, and then yeah, it looked like [02:49] >> It started burning. [02:52] And then like two cars that were outside [02:53] were also broken into a sedan. [02:55] >> I I didn't even know that. [02:56] >> Yeah. [02:57] >> Yeah, so so [02:58] We're on YouTube by the way. So, for my [03:00] viewers, just so they understand, Mukmas [03:03] is [03:04] right on the outskirts of Jerusalem. [03:06] There's a Palestinian village called [03:08] Hisma. And then after Hisma, it's Sha'ar [03:10] Binyamin. And then after Sha'ar [03:13] Binyamin, it's Mukmas. Now, most of the [03:15] people that live in Mukmas are actually [03:17] American. They've built some of the [03:19] biggest palaces you've ever seen. [03:20] >> 70% of Mukmas is a United States [03:23] citizen. [03:23] >> 70? [03:24] >> 70%. [03:25] >> Really? [03:26] >> And And most of them live in America. [03:27] They go there to get married. They go [03:29] there for the summer. But it's I've I've [03:31] I've made videos in Mukmas because the [03:33] houses are so insane. [03:35] But that's why I didn't understand this [03:37] cuz I understand a lot of the villages [03:38] and why there's conflict. So, today I [03:40] was at Taybeh. And Taybeh is just a [03:42] little bit further north. [03:44] And I was with some of the Bedouin [03:46] who've been having problems because I [03:49] made a video on Taybeh talking about the [03:51] Christian violence, which is wild for [03:54] for [03:56] And okay. [03:58] And so, I understand the conflict in [04:00] Taiba. [04:01] There's outposts, they're fighting over [04:03] grazing land. I understand what's going [04:05] on there. The Bedouin want to graze the [04:07] valley, the the the settlers, the [04:10] hilltop youth want to graze the valley, [04:12] and they clash over sheep. [04:15] I didn't understand Mukmas because [04:16] there's no one in Mukmas. Like, I do not [04:19] understand what was happening there. [04:20] >> He's not lying. I mean, Mukmas is all [04:22] over right now. The population is like [04:25] that lives in the village here in the [04:28] ground, 1,100 people, actually. [04:30] It's a small village. [04:31] >> But but then on the flip side of that, [04:33] I've got a friend of mine, [04:34] Firas Halal, Halal's, and Silverman, a [04:36] few friends, they went to they were [04:38] doing a tour. [04:40] They're influencers, they're YouTubers, [04:41] Instagram people. [04:43] And they went to Turmus Aya, which is a [04:45] little bit further north today. [04:47] >> Yeah. [04:48] >> They nearly got lynched there. They they [04:50] threw a big huge boulder through the [04:51] window, hit my friends. It is [04:55] it's [04:56] Like, there's definitely tit-for-tat [04:58] violence, it's reciprocal. I understand [05:01] to [05:01] >> Exactly. It keeps going back and forth, [05:02] and that's the biggest problem that's [05:03] that's happening right now. [05:05] Is that it's not going to stop. Like, [05:07] what's the solution? [05:09] >> So, [05:09] >> The solution is the solution is [05:11] everybody listens to the IDF correctly. [05:14] Like, if the IDF is neutral, unbiased, [05:16] because you have soldiers in IDF they're [05:18] not but like some of them they'll be [05:20] biased and some of them they won't [05:21] Like, some of them they'll protect [05:22] Palestinians also. But the problem is [05:24] when you have a biased one [05:25] >> They're all biased. They're all biased, [05:27] but they're biased in different ways. [05:28] You'll have someone on the left [05:30] who's biased in the IDF and he wants to [05:32] help Palestine. You'll have someone who [05:34] lives in a settle like an outpost on a [05:36] farm. He's in the IDF, he's biased cuz [05:39] it's a conscript army. I'll tell you [05:40] what I think my solution is. Tell me [05:42] what you think about this. [05:44] So, at Oslo, the Palestinians agreed [05:47] that Israel was in control of security [05:49] and civil [05:51] control of the area C. [05:54] So, that [05:55] some of the nicer houses in Mukhmus are [05:56] in area C. [05:58] I think Israel should just apply [06:00] sovereignty to area C, give every Arab [06:03] that's living there, provided they [06:05] renounce violence, etc., a path to being [06:08] a citizen so they can vote in the [06:09] election. That means you have a [06:11] policeman who's responsible for the [06:13] outpost is also responsible for the [06:16] Palestinian. So, they're under one law. [06:19] It's not the military are under control [06:21] of the Palestinians and the police are [06:23] under control of the [06:23] >> That's not a That's not a bad idea. It's [06:25] not a bad idea. [06:26] It's not at all. [06:28] Because you know, once you have like [06:29] What the [ __ ] is A, B, and C? [06:30] >> Okay, look. Once Once you have the Let's [06:32] say you have the Israeli ID compared to [06:33] when you have Okay, there's Hawiyat [06:35] al-Quds and then there's Hawiyat [06:35] Ramallah. [06:37] Hawiyat Ramallah, you don't get the [06:38] benefits of like having like Hawiyat [06:40] al-Quds. Hawiyat al-Quds, you can go [06:42] inside, you could go see Al-Aqsa, [06:43] Jerusalem. [06:44] >> You can travel. You can do what you [06:47] want. [06:47] >> almost the same rights as as them. Okay. [06:49] Like and even [06:51] Israeli police tends to respect you a [06:52] little more because you guys you guys [06:54] have like the same citizen. When you [06:56] have Hawiyat Ramallah, you're kind of [06:57] second class. It's wrong, but you're [06:59] second class citizen in a way. [07:01] >> What does it say? You're not a citizen, [07:02] you're a Palestinian. That That's it. I [07:04] think Yeah. And this is my thing. I [07:06] don't I want your I've got kids. I want [07:09] my kids to have the same rights as your [07:10] kids. I want them both to do well. I [07:12] don't want my kids to go in the army and [07:14] fight your cousins. That's the last [07:15] thing I want. And so, I think we we've [07:18] been doing Oslo, we've been doing [07:20] two-state solution for 78 years. [07:23] And the Mukhmus, Turmus Ayya, Quds, the [07:28] ground is soaked with the blood of our [07:30] families. And khalas, I think we we've [07:33] got to find a different solution. [07:36] And it's either one of us completely [07:37] slaughters the other, completely expels [07:39] the other, or we try something [07:41] different. [07:44] >> A solution where both sides [07:47] can just be happy [07:49] is way better. Like [07:50] What What did I What did I help with [07:52] October 7th? That did not help at all. [07:54] Like whatever happened on October 7th [07:56] was wrong. So that kind of in a way it [07:59] kind of enraged the right-wing side and [08:01] it gave them more like claim to their [08:03] to what they want to do. You know what I [08:05] mean? They're like, "But look at these [08:06] people. They're doing one, two, and [08:07] three. They came and they stormed. How [08:08] do you guys want peace with [08:09] mercenaries?" [08:10] >> Where did they go wrong? [08:11] >> But you also got Gaza. Gaza's under [08:12] their own law. [08:13] >> Gaza's under their own law, exactly. But [08:15] once they made it out, they're like, [08:17] "Okay, you see how Gaza was before? If [08:18] Gaza stayed like this, let's say Gaza [08:20] stayed quiet for for another 15 years, [08:23] the left would have grown. The left in [08:25] Israel would have grown." [08:27] >> So [08:27] >> You got to realize right now Right now, [08:29] if I'm not mistaken, I think it's like [08:30] 80% 85% right-wing. [08:33] >> So it's it's it's it's around So it's if [08:36] you include people that are neutral, [08:37] it's 75% of the population are either [08:40] neutral or to the right. And I mean, I I [08:43] personally probably people would put me [08:44] on the right cuz I'm against creating a [08:45] Palestinian state. I support Jews living [08:48] in Judea. But [08:50] they I'll give you an example. Most [08:52] people don't understand how Israelis and [08:54] function. I went to a meeting the other [08:57] day in a settlement [08:59] where 200 [09:01] of the residents were in a meeting [09:03] discussing violence that was coming from [09:05] one of the the outposts nearby. [09:08] And so the settlers were opposing an [09:10] outpost of different settlers. And [09:14] and it just goes to show it's not [09:15] They're not a monolith. Israelis aren't [09:17] a monolith. Palestinians aren't a [09:18] monolith. [09:20] >> [snorts] [09:20] >> I the the Bedouin I visited the day were [09:22] the sweetest guys you could imagine. [09:23] They just wanted to graze their sheep [09:25] and they're And I've met guys on the [09:27] farm who are the sweetest guys. You [09:30] It's very easy when you [09:32] view the conflict through somebody [09:34] else's camera lens [09:36] to mistake that camera lens for the [09:37] reality. [09:38] On both sides you have good people, on [09:40] both sides you have bad people, and [09:42] we've been unable to just find a path [09:44] through these [09:46] 78 years of [09:49] a bloodshed. [09:50] >> Because 78 it's been 78 years of people [09:53] that are not talking. They're not [09:54] sitting down at the right tables. [09:57] >> Okay, completely agree. But I just want [09:59] to say just like I hear you're a breath [10:01] of fresh air compared to a lot of the [10:02] people I speak to on here. [10:04] And you want to know why? [10:05] >> I don't realize it's like I I understand [10:07] what it is because [10:08] I have I have Kuwaiti nationality and [10:11] I'm a US citizen. And [10:12] so [10:13] I know exactly what it is to be inside [10:15] and be on the outside. To go to this [10:17] city, to eat in this city, and then eat [10:19] in this city. So eat in the West Bank or [10:21] eat in Israel. Like I know exactly I [10:23] know I know a lot, you know what I mean? [10:26] So you could you could see both sides of [10:28] the story. Like I could see why these [10:30] guys they're always so mad because they [10:31] can't really enjoy the country to its [10:33] full extent. Okay. They can't enjoy the [10:36] land, you know, if we're not going to [10:37] we're not even going to mention names or [10:38] tell so they can't enjoy the land to the [10:40] full extent. And I understand that. Like [10:42] there's there's some guys like they [10:43] never did anything wrong and they [10:44] wouldn't get approved for a visa to work [10:46] inside of Israel, even though they never [10:47] had like any problems. It's just their [10:49] men their luck. So they they have kind [10:51] of a bitterness, you know what I mean? [10:53] Like they have like a sour taste and [10:55] that sour taste makes them buy more [10:57] biased. Like doesn't put them in a [10:58] neutral view. If you're in a neutral [11:00] view, you can understand both sides even [11:02] from being from these people and [11:03] understanding the other side. Or being [11:04] from that side and not understanding [11:05] these people. [11:07] >> Do you want to know one of the wildest [11:08] things [11:09] >> end of the day at the end of the day [11:11] it does it doesn't matter if you wear a [11:12] hijab or you wear a yarmulke. It doesn't [11:13] matter [11:14] if you if you're a sheikh [11:16] or if you're a rabbi. You know [11:18] everybody's human, you know? Everybody [11:21] was born, everybody's going to live, [11:22] everybody's going to die, and this is [11:23] going to could go on for after our [11:25] times. [11:25] >> Yeah, a lot of them. But what I would [11:28] say is one of the wildest things I hear, [11:30] and this is more for my audience than [11:31] you cuz you probably know this. [11:33] When I ask most Palestinians, most of [11:35] the Arabs that are living under the PA, [11:38] living in area A, B, or C, I ask them, [11:41] "What do you wish for?" [11:43] They say one of two things. [11:45] They They say [11:47] they want to work in Israel, so they're [11:48] basically saying, "My economic situation [11:51] sucks. [11:52] I want better opportunities." Or they [11:54] say, "I just want to go to the sea." [11:56] That's one of the most common things I [11:58] hear. And what they mean there is they [11:59] want to be able to move freely. I'm not [12:02] I don't buy into a lot of the propaganda [12:03] that comes out of the Palestinian camp, [12:06] but one thing they say which is true is [12:08] there are gates and they do limit [12:10] movement. Coming out of Taybeh today, [12:11] there was a big delay. [12:13] And that that does suck. If you're [12:15] Israeli, you have greater freedom to [12:16] move than if you're a Palestinian in [12:18] Ramallah. [12:20] And so [12:20] >> the freedom It's really the freedom of [12:22] movement. Even okay, there's the there's [12:24] the blockades and everything like that. [12:26] But if it was actual checkpoints, like [12:27] like Okay, the checkpoints now, to be [12:30] honest, like um we can't go back in [12:32] time. Like there's no changing what [12:33] happened in the past. Last time 70 years [12:35] ago, happened 2 years ago, happened [12:36] yesterday. There's no changing that. Now [12:38] it's just what people are still stuck on [12:40] is the past. They don't think about how [12:42] to move forward. They're like, "Oh, I [12:43] wish it could be what it was like how it [12:44] was before." No. Now you just got to [12:46] You got to see You got to plan for the [12:48] future. Okay, yeah, the blockades are 1 [12:50] 2 and 3. If there's somehow [12:52] that like let's say like the Israeli [12:53] government they could some Not I'm not [12:55] saying get rid of the blockades fully, [12:57] but let's say they can kind of speed [12:58] them up. [12:59] >> Yeah. [13:00] >> Yeah. If they could speed them up [13:01] because always in America there's [13:02] checkpoints. They're not blockades, but [13:05] there's checkpoints. But the problem is [13:06] that with the blockades when it's closed [13:07] for 8 hours, like [13:09] 8 9 hours, you're stuck from a 20-minute [13:11] trip to a 9-hour trip. In 9 hours I [13:13] could go from New York to Chicago. [13:15] >> Yeah, yeah, I completely get it. And I I [13:17] get [13:18] I get why they're there and I get why [13:22] it's just the the most frustrating thing [13:25] imaginable if you're a Palestinian. So, [13:27] I give you an example. I was going to go [13:28] to Tur Mas'a a few weeks ago. [13:31] And now uh they [13:33] um [13:34] a terrorist shot one of the hilltop [13:37] youth who was in a farm. No, stabbed, [13:38] sorry, not shot. And so, to so they [13:41] could catch him, they locked all the [13:43] villages. So, they closed the gates on [13:45] the villages. So, to make sure that he [13:46] can't escape, they closed the gates. [13:49] But that then sucks if you're a farmer [13:50] and you've got a meeting, you've got to [13:52] get your sheep, you got to It's just [13:54] That's uh And so, I get the security [13:56] concerns. I get why those gates are [13:58] there. They wouldn't be there if our [13:59] people weren't fighting. [14:01] But they are there and our people are [14:03] fighting. And that's why I think we need [14:04] to find an alternative way, a new path, [14:06] so that [14:08] as I said at the beginning, your your [14:09] family can thrive. My I mean, [14:12] I One of the reasons I want to live I [14:13] want to get I want to get me one of [14:15] those Mukmas houses. We've got to make [14:17] peace. [14:18] >> [laughter] [14:18] >> We get some of those [14:19] 18-bedroom beautiful [14:22] real estate. [14:23] >> What [14:23] What's going to What was I going to I [14:24] was about to say something. As [14:27] What is your stance on the West Bank [14:28] expansion basically? What do you What do [14:30] you think about like the West Bank [14:31] expansion? [14:32] >> So, I truthfully, I support it and that [14:35] because I support it because I think it [14:36] stops a Palestinian state. I think if we [14:39] I don't think Palestine Palestinianism [14:42] can coexist with Zionism Israel. [14:45] I think the I So, forget the people, [14:47] forget the territory, just look at the [14:49] ideology. [14:50] If you look at any Palestinian [14:52] organization, how do they draw [14:53] Palestine? From the river to the sea. [14:56] Nobody draws Palestine as the West Bank [14:58] and Gaza. [14:59] The identity was created to fight Israel [15:02] in the charter of '64 before '67 before [15:04] Jordan lost the West Bank. The [15:06] Palestinian charter said that the [15:08] Palestinians have no claim to the West [15:10] Bank [15:11] and Gaza. Why? Cuz Egypt had Gaza and [15:14] Jordan had the West Bank. And so, their [15:17] fight, the struggle, the Palestinian [15:19] cause there was removing Israel from the [15:21] rest of the land. [15:23] When Israel beat Jordan, they then [15:25] updated their charter and it's now their [15:27] claim is the entirety. [15:29] And so, I don't think an ideology that [15:32] was created in reaction to destroy [15:35] another ideology can ever coexist with [15:37] it. One of us has to win and I think in [15:40] Israel [15:41] >> I'm sorry. [15:41] >> Sorry to cut you off. Sorry to cut you [15:43] off. That that's one thing I'm going to [15:45] disagree with you on. Like me and you [15:46] are on the same page except about that [15:47] thing. [15:48] >> Yeah. [15:49] >> I believe that the current territories [15:50] that are currently under people's names, [15:52] like the current land that's under [15:53] people's names, shouldn't be like [15:56] shouldn't There shouldn't be somebody [15:57] that could come and sit on your land [15:59] that's under a paper. [16:02] Like you have land under your name. I [16:04] don't think that anybody, whether it be [16:06] another Palestinian, whether it be [16:07] another Israeli, whether it be Arab, [16:09] whether you you're a Jew, whatever you [16:11] Whatever you are, [16:12] I don't think that you should be able to [16:13] sit on somebody's land that's not yours [16:15] unless you bought it unless it was sold. [16:17] >> I agree. So, I think private property [16:19] rights have to be have to be protected. [16:21] So, if your family has a a small house [16:23] or a nice house in Mukmas, that's their [16:25] house. [16:26] No one has a right to come and take that [16:28] house unless they legally took it, but [16:30] no one has a right to come and take that [16:31] house. [16:33] What I'm saying is the government [16:34] >> was on a lot of land. [16:35] >> So, so if you So, the I think this is [16:37] where it becomes more gray area. So, if [16:39] you've got like state land, so it was [16:41] previously Ottoman land or British land [16:45] and now is it Israeli or Palestinian? [16:47] That's where we're going to disagree. [16:49] But the reason I think it should be [16:50] Israel is in Israel the Arabs are fine. [16:53] So, for instance, a guy who lives in [16:55] Shuafat camp can work in Jerusalem. A [16:57] guy who lives in Shuafat village can [16:59] have Israeli citizenship, can vote in [17:01] the elections. They have complete [17:03] equality. There's no Palestinian Jews. [17:05] The The Jews were kicked out just like [17:07] they were kicked out of almost every [17:09] Arab country in the Middle East. And so, [17:11] I think Israel's proven that provided [17:14] there's peace and we're not at war, [17:16] Muslims, Christians, Druze, Baha'i, Jews [17:20] can all thrive. And that's why I support [17:23] the land being Israel, not because I'm [17:25] greedy and I want all the land. I think [17:27] it's the most peaceful way [17:30] for our people to coexist is under is [17:33] cuz it Look at Gaza. As soon as Israel [17:36] pulled out, [17:38] Hamas drive out Fatah [17:40] and turn it into an Islamic state [17:42] effectively. [17:43] Um [17:45] and I think that would happen to the [17:46] West Bank as well. I don't think Abu [17:48] Mazen or any of the politicians would be [17:51] able to [17:52] to stand up to any of the more militant [17:54] factions. I think it would just be civil [17:56] war and more violence and then that [17:58] would be used to attack Israel. And so I [18:01] think for my people's sake, [18:03] but also for your people's sake, [18:05] if Israel was in control, there wouldn't [18:07] be war. I think we'd have peace. [18:09] And I don't think Israel can take your [18:11] land, either. [18:13] >> I I just feel like [18:15] the the borders that were set [18:17] before, previously, [18:18] >> Yeah. [18:19] >> should have just stayed that and they [18:20] should have stopped West Bank expansion. [18:22] Like [18:23] like just if we're thinking about just [18:25] like settler growth in the last 20 [18:27] years, like after Oslo, it's it's been a [18:29] lot. [18:30] >> So, this is the thing. Even that's not [18:32] just What happened was the settlements [18:33] froze after Oslo. After October the 7th, [18:36] they went crazy and they're they're [18:38] they're expanding. I think there's 150 [18:40] new farms, maybe 100 new outposts. It's [18:43] So, that's [18:44] a lot of expansion, but [18:46] the the inverse is that you mentioned [18:49] Mukhmus and that I don't mean to be a [18:50] bit cheeky, but I'll be a bit cheeky. [18:53] Some of the biggest houses in Mukhmus [18:55] are illegal settlements. They're no [18:57] different to one of the outposts. So, [18:59] they were built on area C, land that [19:01] they didn't technically own. It was [19:02] state land and they built big, huge [19:05] mansions. [19:06] Whereas the settlers, they're in tiny [19:08] little caravans cuz they can't Israel [19:10] won't won't let them build permanent [19:12] structures. The Palestinians built [19:14] 100,000. [19:16] The Jews built 4,000 illegal structures [19:19] in Nabi Musa. [19:20] >> I'm going to I'm going to I'm going to [19:20] talk about just like something specific [19:23] on cuz you uh you mentioned Mukmas. So, [19:25] there was a house, [19:27] right? It was for a man. He resides in [19:30] America, but all his life he lived all [19:32] his life he lived in Mukmas. He moved to [19:34] America around 29 years old. [19:36] But, the land was his father's land [19:37] under his name, under everything. The [19:39] land is still considered zone C. So, he [19:41] started building. [19:42] He got a stop work order from Israel in [19:45] 2010. [19:47] >> Yeah. [19:47] >> And they stopped working on it. [19:50] He went to he brought a lawyer. [19:52] He did what he has to do. [19:53] And he ended up getting the permits to [19:55] build on the land because it was still [19:56] under his name, like under his father's [19:58] name. [19:59] The house now is complete. [20:01] The The house now is complete and [20:03] everything. No, it's good. [20:05] It took It took like 10 years. [20:07] >> Yeah. [20:07] >> But, the house it was originally under [20:10] his father's land. Even though [20:10] considering it being zone C, [20:13] so Mukmas in general Mukmas they they [20:16] always get stop work orders for that [20:18] same reason. [20:19] Like people get like, "Okay, yeah, it's [20:21] my father's land. I can build on it." [20:22] So, they start building and then they [20:23] get a stop work order. They stop [20:24] working, get their permits, and they [20:25] continue to work. [20:26] But, there's not really any illegal [20:28] houses in Mukmas. [20:29] >> So, so maybe maybe that answers the [20:31] question I have. [20:32] That answers a question I had. I did not [20:34] understand [20:36] why Israel allowed the Palestinians to [20:38] not just build a little house, but [20:40] literally some of these things are like [20:41] hotels. They They're huge. And that's [20:43] why I know and I think that's how it [20:45] should be. If you own the land, you [20:47] apply for the permit, you get a It sucks [20:49] that it takes 10 years, [20:51] but you get permission and then you [20:52] build. [20:54] >> if you live if you live there and you're [20:55] constantly there instead of just going [20:57] like 2 months a year or if you live [20:58] there, you can get away faster like [20:59] within 2 or 3 years. [21:02] If you're going 2 months and then 2 [21:03] months and then 2 months, it's like [21:04] every year you're just like getting [21:06] updates until you finally get it. [21:07] Anyway, well then it was nice meeting [21:09] you. [21:10] >> Jazakallah khair. [21:11] Likewise. [21:13] It's nice to meet you, brother. Now [21:14] people know peace. And inshallah I see [21:16] you in Mecca. [21:17] >> [laughter] [21:18] >> Sometimes. [21:20] All right.
