Description (by owner on YouTube)
What is the greatest commandment in all of God’s Word?
In Parashat Va’etchanan, Moses gives Israel the Shema—one of the most central declarations in Scripture—and calls God’s people to remember, obey, and teach His Word to the next generation.
Centuries later, a scribe asks Yeshua an important question: Which commandment is the greatest of all? His answer connects the Torah, our love for God, and the way we are called to live with one another.
In this week’s teaching, we explore:
• Moses’ final appeal before Israel enters the Promised Land
• Why God repeatedly commands His people to remember
• The meaning of the Shema in Deuteronomy 6
• Yeshua’s answer in Mark 12
• What it means to belong to God as a holy and set-apart people
**Scripture readings:**
Torah: Deuteronomy 3:23–7:11
Haftarah: Isaiah 40:1–26
New Covenant: Mark 12:28–34
