Chapters & Summary

Chaim Malespin explains how Hamas cynically uses civilian infrastructure like hospitals to store weapons and military equipment, forcing Israel to conduct operations on Shabbat to dismantle these facilities before the weapons can be used against civilians and troops.

The dissolution of Hamas's Gaza governing committee is a rebranding strategy, not genuine disarmament. Hamas retains its civil servants, internal security forces, armed fighters, weapons, tunnel networks, manufacturing capabilities, and continues extorting merchants and stealing humanitarian aid.

Past terrorist organizations including the PLO and Hezbollah have used similar tactics of creating political wings to appear legitimate while maintaining military capabilities for terrorism. Hamas follows this playbook, attempting to gain international recognition and a Palestinian state without surrendering weapons after 19 years of authoritarian rule that led to October 7th.

Description (by owner on YouTube)

Shabbat is the one day we are meant to rest. This week we did not get to. Chaim explains what really happened in Gaza, and why the world is being told a story that does not match the ground. A committee was dissolved in Gaza and much of the world reported that Hamas had disarmed. Chaim Malespin, chairman of The Faithful Galileans, walks through what actually changed and what did not. The civil servants are still in their posts. The internal security forces are intact. The tunnel network under the homes, the hospitals and the mosques is still there. The rockets, the smuggling routes and the manufacturing capacity are still there. What changed was the name on the door. He traces the same pattern backwards through recent history. Yasser Arafat renouncing terrorism in 1993 and the second Intifada that followed. The European Union outlawing Hezbollah's military wing in 2013 while its political wing kept raising money through charities in the West. The martyr payment system announced as ended and quietly continued under new names. This is a message about seeing clearly. Yeshua told his disciples to be wise as serpents and innocent as doves, and there has rarely been a season when that instruction mattered more to those who love this land.
