The UN Honored Him as an UNRWA Educator. Hamas Identified Him as a Commander.

The UN honored him as a fallen UNRWA educator. Then Hamas released footage identifying him as one of its commanders. On ALL CAPS, UN Watch Executive Director Hillel Neuer tells the story of Imad Youssef Al-Samhouri, whom Neuer says worked as an UNRWA teacher and school principal and was later honored at a UN memorial ceremony in New York. According to Neuer, Hamas subsequently released footage showing Al-Samhouri dressed in full Hamas uniform and identifying him as a commander. For Neuer, the case points to a much deeper problem with UNRWA and the Western governments that fund it. He argues that the agency has contributed to the radicalization of Palestinians rather than resolving the refugee issue — and that meaningful deradicalization in Gaza will require dismantling and defunding UNRWA. ▶️ Watch the full conversation with Hillel Neuer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpK9HMQEYGo Subscribe for new ALL CAPS episodes and highlights every week. 🌐 Website https://israellawcenter.org/ ❤️ Support Our Work https://israellawcenter.org/donate/ 📩 Newsletter https://israellawcenter.org/newsletter/ #UNRWA #Hamas #UnitedNations
