Transcript [00:00] Reaching millions across the globe, [00:01] Israel 365 is a premier media powerhouse [00:04] [music] and the ultimate bridge [00:05] connecting world leaders, influencers, [00:08] and faith-based communities. Through [00:10] flagship international [music] [00:12] summits, and high impact global [00:14] conferences, we unite worldclass [00:16] speakers on [music] the biggest stages [00:18] on Earth. This war that's happening [00:20] right now in Israel is only the very [00:23] beginning in their plans. [music] [00:25] We're here at NRB. This is my first [00:26] time. It's incredible. But what's [00:28] amazing about Shabbat, even though we're [00:30] giving the day to God, he [music] gives [00:31] it right back to us. The Israelis [00:33] learned after October 7th, don't wait. [00:35] Israel's gone to a more proactive [00:36] policy. [music] One of the things I love [00:38] about NRB, it's all people who are [00:40] active, who are involved, who are [00:42] [music] leaders. [00:43] >> Welcome to the second Middle East [00:47] summit. [00:50] [music] [00:50] >> And that's where Israel also comes in. [00:55] >> [music] [00:55] >> How do we get into a mindset of bigger? [01:00] [music] [01:12] [music] [01:19] Hi everybody. My name is Kim Bash [01:21] [music] [01:22] and I am the owner of Kim Bash real [01:24] estate. Yes, I work in real estate, but [01:27] for me it's so much more than [music] [01:28] that. I call myself a property and [01:30] community matchmaker because a house is [01:33] just a house. But when you find your [01:35] [music] community, that's when you find [01:37] your home. So whether it's aliyah, an [01:40] investment, or a holiday home, we're [01:42] waiting for you with open arms. Let your [01:44] journey home begin with us. [01:51] Thank you once again for being here [01:53] tonight. I forgot to introduce myself. I [01:55] am Pesak Willicki and I'm your host for [01:56] this evening. Some of you uh may some of [02:00] you have met me. I've seen a lot of [02:01] friends here before and if you're not [02:03] following Israel 365 News on YouTube, [02:05] you absolutely should be doing that. All [02:08] right. The format for this evening, I'm [02:10] not going to waste your time. The format [02:12] for this evening is as follows. We have [02:14] 10 candidates. All of the candidates [02:16] you'll be hearing from tonight are on [02:17] the Knesset lists for their respective [02:19] parties. And we'll be dividing the [02:21] evening into two sessions of five [02:24] candidates each. [02:27] And [02:29] in each session, each candidate will [02:31] give an opening five minute statement [02:33] where they just lay out their platform, [02:34] lay out what they want to tell you [02:36] tonight. And then in a second round in [02:38] each panel, each candidate will be asked [02:41] a challenging question that I've [02:43] prepared. meaning a question that an [02:45] attack question as it were and you can [02:47] let me know at the end of the night if I [02:49] went too soft or too hard on any of them [02:51] and then in the third round in each [02:53] panel they will each be given I'm sorry [02:55] and they'll be given two minutes to [02:56] answer that question and then they will [02:58] each be given two minutes to just give [03:00] their closing statement and leave you [03:02] with whatever message they want to leave [03:04] you with. Now obviously it would not be [03:07] fair if I decided on the order of how [03:09] they're all speaking. So, what we're [03:11] going to be doing is each time they each [03:14] have to speak, each of those three times [03:15] on each panel, they will each draw a [03:17] token out of this bag. And there are [03:19] five tokens in this bag numbered 1 2 3 4 [03:24] 5. And that will determine the order. [03:25] And that way there can be no complaints [03:28] about who went first and who went last. [03:31] All right, are we ready to have a good [03:32] time? [03:33] >> [applause] [03:34] >> Okay, [cheering] [03:35] it is my honor and pleasure to welcome [03:38] panel number one. [03:40] Bring them on in. [03:43] And we have on panel number one. [03:46] Oh, we're introducing the one. Keep the [03:48] music going. What is this? We have Mati [03:50] Gil of the Bakad Party. [03:54] We have [03:56] Moran Zer Katenstein of Ham Democratim. [04:01] We have Yishi Flecher of Utmayuit. [04:05] And we have Don Eluz of Israel Betenu, [04:09] Israel, our home. And showing up a [04:12] little bit late is going to be Mosha [04:14] Faglin of Zahoot. He'll get here when he [04:16] gets here. [04:18] [applause and music] [04:20] Okay. [04:22] Yeah. Please sit in front of your [04:23] picture. That would make life a little [04:25] bit easier for all of us. [04:27] And uh [04:29] and folks, we have international media [04:31] here. We have members of the [04:33] international media here. Welcome media [04:35] members tonight. I hope you can see [04:36] everything. Um and uh we're very honored [04:39] that you came to join us. All right, [04:41] let's get started. [04:43] So, as I said, I hope you heard. You're [04:45] each going to choose a token and that [04:47] will determine the order in which you [04:49] are speaking. You know what we're going [04:50] to do? We're going to pull out token [04:51] number five and leave it for Mosha Fagan [04:54] just to be nice to him. But we'll all [04:56] remember that he came late. So without [04:59] further ado, Dan Eluz of Israel Betenu, [05:02] you have five minutes. Oh, and and and [05:04] one more thing, [05:06] there are a lot of people speaking [05:07] tonight many times. If you go overtime, [05:10] I have to let everyone else go overtime [05:11] and this whole evening is going to go [05:13] off the rails. And we don't want that, [05:14] right? No, we don't want that. Which [05:16] means that you really have to stick to [05:17] the time. When you have a minute left in [05:20] this 5 minutes, I will tell you. In the [05:21] 2-minut segments with 15 seconds left, I [05:24] will tell you. Go ahead. Five minutes is [05:27] yours. [05:28] >> Thank you very much. Thank you Israel [05:29] 365 for putting this together. I think [05:32] it's really important. I think it's [05:34] important for the Anglo community. I [05:35] myself made aliyah from Montreal 17 [05:38] years ago out of Zionism. Uh and so I [05:40] know what it means to be an immigrant, [05:43] not to understand so much at first uh [05:45] what's going on in Israeli politics and [05:47] the need for events specifically made [05:50] for Anglo. And so thanks a lot for uh [05:52] putting this together. My name is Danny [05:54] LSE. Thanks, Tuli. Uh, I can't see most [05:57] of you guys cuz the lighting is [05:59] horrible, but thanks everyone for being [06:00] here. I know that it's a it's a full [06:03] house today. My name is Danny Luz. I'm [06:05] with Israel Beteno, but I'm actually a [06:07] former member of Kesset who was a [06:09] Knesset member in this past term for the [06:12] Liquid Party. So, the question that I'm [06:14] asked many times is why did I switch? [06:16] Why did I move from Liood uh to Israel [06:19] Betenu? And what I usually answer, I'll [06:21] first say it in one sentence and then [06:23] I'll go more into it, is that if you [06:25] actually believe in traditional liquid [06:27] values, if you actually believe in [06:29] Jabotinski's way, in Begin's way, and in [06:32] the values that are written in the [06:34] constitution of the Liood, then what you [06:36] need to do is leave Likood and start [06:38] voting for Israel Betenu. I joined [06:40] Likood 17 years ago. uh the day uh that [06:45] I moved to Israel, the day that I got my [06:47] zut before I signed the lease, I [06:50] actually signed the membership papers [06:53] before signing the lease. And the reason [06:55] why I did that is because I identified [06:57] with the values of the liquood. When you [07:00] open the constitution of the liud, you [07:04] see that what's written is service for [07:08] all. There's actually a a uh something [07:11] written there that the liquood will work [07:13] for to bring service for all citizens in [07:16] Israel. Uh you see free markets uh free [07:20] market economy. Uh you see uh uh [07:24] sovereignty in Judea and Samaria. You [07:26] see beating our enemies. And on every [07:29] single one of these uh of these uh [07:33] points, I realized in the last four [07:35] years where I was an MK inside that the [07:38] leu doesn't just not do enough in order [07:40] to promote these ideals. It's very often [07:43] the obstacle for these ideals to [07:45] actually come to life. Uh when it comes [07:48] to free markets, something which is very [07:50] close to my heart, I'm a young family. I [07:52] have two kids. When I go to the [07:53] supermarket, it hurts. I think it hurts [07:55] all of us, right? Uh and when it comes [07:58] to free markets, uh the liquid has been [08:00] overtaken by uh interest groups and [08:03] instead of serving the people, they end [08:05] up stopping reforms that were done uh in [08:09] order to uh lower cost of living and [08:12] serve the interest groups. Victor [08:14] Lieberman, the head of the Israel Betenu [08:17] party as a minister of finance passed [08:20] some of the most impressive reforms in [08:22] order to lower the cost of living, free [08:25] imports, uh uh reform in agriculture, uh [08:29] many many things which were supposed to [08:31] lower the cost of living in Israel. But [08:33] as soon as Li could took power again, [08:35] they just canceled these laws. Now I was [08:37] fighting my own party in committee [08:39] already. Then I was part of the Liu, but [08:41] I was fighting my own party. I was [08:42] telling them, wait, we need to serve the [08:45] people of Israel, not the interest [08:46] groups, not the farming lobby, not of [08:48] the not not not all of these interest [08:50] groups. Uh, but to no avail. The reforms [08:54] were actually cancelled or pushed back [08:56] by decades and so being becoming [08:58] irrelevant. When it comes to service for [09:00] all, then we've all seen uh in the last [09:03] term uh after October 7th, the army [09:07] needs much more soldiers. We need a ton [09:09] of soldiers. the chief of staff of the [09:12] IDF says it time and time again. He's [09:15] basically begging for the government uh [09:18] to stop the the exemption that the ultra [09:21] orthodox have from serving in the army [09:24] in order for there to be more incentives [09:26] for them to go in for there to be [09:27] sanctions on those people who do not [09:29] serve and the liquid did everything in [09:32] order to stop that from happening and [09:35] and to pass legislation in order for [09:37] that to happen. Now, if there's one [09:38] thing that I do want to emphasize also, [09:40] it's the security issue. And if I have [09:42] one minute, I'll just uh uh focus on [09:44] that. On the security issue, we passed [09:47] one of the toughest terms ever with [09:49] October 7th happened. But if there's one [09:51] person that actually saw it coming and [09:54] that can say with proof in his hand that [09:56] if he would have been prime minister of [09:58] Israel, then October 7th wouldn't have [10:00] happened, it's Avdar Lieberman. Not only [10:03] did he vote against the disengagement [10:04] plan when others voted for, not only did [10:07] he oppose the Gilachit deal that [10:10] released Senoir when others pushed it [10:12] forward, but in 2016 he wrote a letter [10:16] warning that Kamas would go into Israeli [10:18] territory, take up take take over [10:21] Ishuim, bring hostages back into Gaza. [10:24] Sounds familiar? He pre predicted [10:27] October 7 not because he's a prophet but [10:29] because he looked at the intelligence [10:30] and looked at reality and in 2018 he he [10:34] he uh he left his post last sentence he [10:37] left his post as defense minister and he [10:40] cited kamasqatar money and kamas again [10:44] and Gaza as as the reason and not [10:47] dealing with Gaza as the reason why he [10:49] released relinquished this post and [10:51] therefore defense reason to me is the [10:53] number one reason other than all of the [10:54] other reasons that I said. Thank you. [10:57] >> Thank you, Donnie Loose. [11:01] And we'll now hear from you Fleer of [11:03] Man. [11:05] >> Howdy, everybody. [11:07] Great to be with you, Kavode. That's [11:09] right. And and you deserve applause [11:11] because uh this is a wonderful event. [11:13] Thank you, Israel 365. Thank you to the [11:15] Bean Center. I'm honored to be on this [11:16] panel with distinguished people who [11:19] really are Zionists and care for Israel. [11:21] Um I'm going to use my five minutes or [11:23] four and a half minutes now. I'm going [11:24] to use them uh with three short stories. [11:27] The first one goes like this. About two [11:29] weeks ago uh I was on the campaign trail [11:32] and we passed through a place called [11:33] Agro Cafe down in Sri and I bumped into [11:36] somebody who knows me and she's now a [11:38] talent agent of some kind and she was uh [11:41] walking around with a guy and I I said, [11:43] "What do you do?" He says, "Well, I've [11:45] been a uh IDF prison systems and police [11:49] photographer. I've taken pictures in all [11:51] these places for many years and I want [11:53] to now put out my work. Okay. He said, [11:55] "Who are what are you doing?" I told [11:57] him, "I'm with my UDI." He said, "Let me [11:59] tell you a story," says the guy that I [12:01] bumped into randomly. He says, [12:04] "I was a prison photographer. [12:07] One day I'm I'm taking pictures. I see [12:10] one of the worst terrorist prisoners [12:12] walk up to one of the guards." [12:15] And the prisoner says to the guard, [12:17] "Give me your phone. get out of the [12:20] room. The prison guard handed him the [12:23] phone and left the room. Says the [12:26] photographer to me, he says, I said to [12:28] the guard, "What's going on here?" He [12:30] said, "They rule the prisons, not us." [12:33] He said to me, the prison photographer [12:35] says to me, "Everything has changed [12:37] there. The prison is now a prison. It's [12:39] a hell for terrorists. They don't want [12:42] to go there." [applause] [12:46] And the fact is is that I work in [12:48] Hebrron, so I speak with Arabs all the [12:50] time. Real real Hebron Arabs. And they [12:53] said to me, "Listen, uh, uh, Benfir's [12:56] prisons, we don't want to get into." [12:57] That's story number one. Story number [12:59] two, my son is in the audience here, uh, [13:01] and him and I on the second day of [13:03] Roshashana, we stayed at our good friend [13:04] Josh Wanders, uh, who's here in the [13:06] audience, and we, uh, at 6:30 in the [13:08] morning, uh, got in line to go to the [13:11] Temple Mount. Second day, Roshashana got [13:14] in line in the morning to go to the [13:15] temple mount. As we stood there, we were [13:17] handed sided that were printed for [13:20] Roshashana with a special temple mount [13:22] prayers added into it. And from there, [13:25] we proceeded to go up. But we had to [13:26] wait until the other 200 people, 300 [13:29] people went up on the temple mount and [13:31] joined us. Then we spent three and a [13:33] half hours praying, bowing down fully, [13:37] blowing the chauffear and the silver [13:39] trumpets. [applause and cheering] [13:42] And every single person there, police, [13:46] the Jews, the Arabs know that one man [13:49] made that reform. Many people have [13:50] talked about it. Many people have been [13:52] great activists. But one man made that [13:54] reform. That is Ben. He has allowed us [13:56] our national pride to pray as as as at [14:01] least equal citizens in our land, if not [14:03] in a Jews in a Jewish state in in [14:05] Jerusalem on our Temple Mount. That [14:07] happened. I was part of it. And that's [14:08] history. Uh, number three, uh, story, a [14:12] short story. How much time I got? [14:13] >> You have a minute 50. [14:15] >> Perfect. So, uh, my insurance agent, [14:18] Israel, calls me the other day and he [14:20] says, "Ishai, it's time to, uh, he [14:22] speaks in Hebrew. It's time to renew [14:24] your insurance." I said, "Israel, good [14:26] to hear from you again." He said to me, [14:28] "This year, I did a great job for you. I [14:29] lowered the insurance cost by 400 [14:31] shekegle." [14:34] Is that you, Israel? I never heard of [14:36] such a thing. Who's heard of a insurance [14:39] cost going down in our country? Since [14:41] when did any prices go down? Is what you [14:43] said, Dan. Since when do we have prices [14:45] go down? He says, yes, I did a great job [14:47] for you. Well, it turned out that my [14:49] insurance agent is is a fine insurance [14:50] agent, but that's not the reason why [14:52] insurance costs went down. All of your [14:54] car insurance have gone down. Reason is [14:57] car theft has gone down below 2006 [15:00] level. [15:02] That is when we had half the cars that [15:04] we have today. Okay? And yet our car [15:07] thefts have gone down. Why? Amen. [15:09] >> Because of all the new police, 4,300 new [15:12] police officers that are better paid [15:14] than ever before because criminals are [15:17] afraid. Because, ladies and gentlemen, [15:20] we have tripled the amount of Jews that [15:23] have gun permits and gun rights in this [15:26] country. [applause] [15:29] It's very simple. We're running on our [15:31] record. In America, we've called the law [15:33] and order candidate. We have done so [15:36] much to make you safer. I think that [15:39] itar Benfir deserves your vote. I've [15:41] done my part, including [15:44] beautifying places in the land of [15:46] Israel, restoration, including the [15:47] biblical highway project, which Barash [15:49] had the biggest hood of pushing through [15:51] Route 60 now has biblical [15:54] uh now the biblical highway has signs [15:57] all over Barash. We're running on our [15:58] record. And God bless you. Let's be safe [16:00] together and stronger. [16:02] [applause] [16:07] Wow, you left three seconds over there. [16:10] All right, it's now uh my honor to call [16:13] upon Moran Zerkatenstein of Had [16:15] Democrat. 5 minutes [applause] [16:20] start. [16:20] >> Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. [16:22] Thank you for inviting me. Thank you for [16:24] coming and taking time to come to this [16:27] uh important event. Uh my name is Moan [16:30] Katenstein. I come from a religious [16:33] family in Hulon, Israel. I um I was an [16:37] officer in the army and afterwards I [16:39] worked for the Shinbet. But most of my [16:43] career come from uh working for [16:47] big global um uh companies such as [16:51] L'Oreal, Google and Coca-Cola. [16:55] Six years ago, I founded one of the [16:57] biggest uh women's rights movement in [16:59] Israel, Bonote Alternativa, women [17:02] building an alternative. [17:04] [applause] [17:05] We focused we focused on women's rights [17:08] and women's safety. We were um very much [17:12] involved in the judicial overall uh [17:15] protest. We had the woman in red [17:19] marching the handmade stale uh protest [17:23] and um six months ago I decided to join [17:27] uh Democrats and I'm number 12 in their [17:30] list. I'm also a mother of four boys. [17:37] So for me, so for me talking about [17:41] politics is not just a matter of debate. [17:45] For me, it's talking about the future of [17:47] our children, my children, the safe our [17:51] community, and um and how much secure we [17:56] feel. [17:58] And I'm saying it because today, God [18:02] forbid, this could be a national day of [18:07] mourning. [18:09] Just imagine [18:11] what would have happened if the plane [18:14] crashed into Israeli towers. [18:18] Just imagine. [18:20] This is the same government that [18:23] responsible for the biggest horrifying [18:28] massacre that happened to Jewish people [18:30] since the Holocaust. [18:33] They didn't take responsibility then and [18:35] they are not doing it now. This is this [18:39] government and I'm sorry but we do have [18:42] members of this government sitting next [18:45] to me and this government is not taking [18:48] responsibility. They didn't learn [18:50] anything [18:52] and we need to think how we are keeping [18:56] our communities safer, [18:58] our children safer. We need people that [19:02] know how to manage, people with the [19:05] right values that are here to serve, [19:10] that are here to protect, [19:13] people that care about our children. [19:16] Thank you, [19:19] >> Moran. You still have two more minutes. [19:21] You want to say more? [19:21] >> I'll take them. [19:22] >> How much? [19:23] >> You have two more minutes. [19:24] >> Two more minutes. [19:25] >> Yeah, sure. [19:26] >> Amazing. [19:26] >> Go ahead. That's because women are more [19:28] efficient. [19:34] [applause] [19:36] >> It's your time. [19:37] >> So if it's my time, I want to discuss [19:39] another thing and it's the fact that we [19:43] are mentioning October 7th, [19:46] three years. And just the last this [19:49] weekend, very higher rank officers that [19:53] worked next to Netanyahu [19:56] said in their own words [19:59] that this war could end before and they [20:03] prolonged this war and they didn't want [20:06] to release the hostage and they could [20:08] release the hostages [20:10] one year before and they didn't do it. [20:14] You know why? because they wanted to [20:16] avoid the state commission of inquiry [20:20] inquiry, right? And they still want to [20:24] do it. And in the next minutes, you will [20:28] hear [20:30] >> what? [20:30] >> One more minute. [20:31] >> Okay. And then the next in the next [20:33] conversation, you're going to hear all [20:35] kind of solutions. [20:38] Eventually, [20:39] you know, there are all kind of um [20:42] gimmicks. Okay? So the prisoners are [20:44] afraid. [20:46] But who is taking care of our national [20:50] security? The number of women being [20:53] killed by domestic violence has doubled [20:56] itself and Benville will not release the [21:00] data since he's in power. Is not given [21:03] any data. Nevertheless is not even [21:06] sending representative of the police to [21:09] committees in the Knesset. They are [21:11] discussing about women's rights and [21:13] fight against violence. [21:16] So yes, prisoners is nice but women are [21:20] not feeling safe here in their homes. [21:24] The amount and you feel it yourself. The [21:28] amount I hear I just finished. The [21:31] amount of crime has doubled itself. So [21:35] really gimmicks is nice but you live [21:37] here like I am and you know what we are [21:40] feeling as civilians and it's not safe. [21:42] Thanks. [21:43] >> Thank you. [applause] [21:48] Next up it's my honor to call upon Mati [21:51] Gil of the Beyak party. Five minutes. [21:54] >> So thank you very much Pesak and the [21:56] Israel 365 team. And I have to give a [21:58] special thank you to my good friend [22:00] Rabbi Rabbi Tulie Weiss. We made aliyah, [22:03] both of us together, from Columbus, [22:04] Ohio. [22:06] And I will say that Tuli is the only [22:09] person I know that can actually hit a [22:10] three-pointer while holding on to his [22:12] Yarmaka. That's really the only the only [22:15] person I've ever met. True story. My [22:17] parents are here. We made Aliyah from [22:18] Columbus, Ohio, for purely Zionistic [22:21] reasons a little over three decades ago. [22:24] I grew up here in Jerusalem, not far [22:25] from here. and I went to work in public [22:28] service for a little over 10 years. [22:30] After I was shot in a terrorist attack [22:32] on the border with Gaza by a kamas [22:34] terrorist who's no longer with us, uh I [22:37] um I moved [22:39] [applause] [22:41] I moved over to the private sector where [22:43] I've been building startups and working [22:45] in biotech and pharma for the last [22:47] decade and a half. But after October [22:50] 7th, I could no longer work in [22:52] high-tech. After October 7th, I had to I [22:55] had the opportunity to go back into [22:57] public service and to go back and work [22:59] for the country we moved for with a deep [23:02] sense of and that's what means that [23:05] nobody that has the opportunity to work [23:07] in public service should ever give up [23:10] that opportunity. So my friend Israel [23:13] uh he talked in three stories. I'll talk [23:15] in three quotes. Isai sorry about you [23:18] were talking. Uh so my friend Isai here [23:20] he was talking about three stories. I'll [23:23] talk I'll talk in three quotes. Quote [23:25] number one is from Ronald Reagan in [23:28] 1980. When he convinced the public that [23:32] Jimmy Carter as a president should not [23:34] have been reelected. [23:36] Ronald Reagan asked one simple question. [23:38] Are you better off now than you were [23:40] four years ago? I think unequivocally if [23:43] we all give ourselves that question in [23:45] Israel after three years of a war in [23:49] internal strife that we've never seen in [23:51] Israel before that was premeditated [23:54] cost of living that is going high where [23:57] the future of our children in Israel and [23:59] their capability to buy an apartment and [24:02] make ends meet at the end of the day in [24:04] the grocery store is much higher than [24:06] it's ever been here with no plan to [24:09] solve that. Crime is on the rise across [24:12] the board. When we moved here from [24:15] Columbus, Ohio, I felt safe walking [24:17] around the streets of Jerusalem at 12 [24:18] 12:00 at night. Our kids, we no longer [24:21] allow them to do that at midnight at the [24:24] same ages. We have absolutely ruined our [24:27] foreign relations, even with our best [24:29] friends. We've turned the US public [24:31] support from being bipartisan to being [24:34] on the road to be bipartisan against us. [24:37] And if you see the figures of those that [24:39] are under the age of 30, this isn't just [24:41] an issue of the Democrats and woke. [24:44] This is a bipartisan issue against us. [24:46] We don't have trust even of our best [24:49] partners. Things are not good here. They [24:52] need to be fixed. But that leads me to [24:55] my second quote, which is Mark Twain, [24:57] who said, "History doesn't repeat [24:59] itself. It rhymes." And if we needed a [25:02] reminder three weeks before the [25:03] elections about the utter and complete [25:06] failure and lack of responsibility of [25:08] this government that led to the worst [25:12] incident in the history of the Jewish [25:14] people since the Holocaust in the [25:16] history of Israel as a state on October [25:18] 7th that happened three years ago this [25:21] week that we are commemorating it is [25:23] that just like terrorists were able to [25:27] get into our country and take over our [25:29] homes s and butcher our people and our [25:32] children. [25:34] A terrorist was able to be in a in the [25:37] cockpit of a plane that had 20 children [25:41] out of 180 passengers almost that was [25:44] going to nose dive. And the only thing [25:47] that saved us 3 years ago was the only [25:50] thing that saved us this week. It was [25:54] the heroism of the Israeli people [25:56] because I'm Islai and we know that [26:00] [applause] one minute. So I am proud to [26:02] be Israeli but I am embarrassed for our [26:05] government. [26:06] And that and our third quote is you [26:09] never let a good crisis go to waste [26:11] because in the de in the depths of the [26:13] crisis as Winston Churchill taught us [26:15] [clears throat] we have an opportunity [26:17] to rise up of like Phoenix's out of the [26:20] ashes. New people like my friends here [26:24] on this panels are going into politics [26:27] across all and on the second panel that [26:29] you'll see here. Good people are going [26:31] into politics. New leadership is going [26:33] to happen in this country. We are going [26:36] to fix this country and that doesn't [26:39] mean giving up or even compromising at [26:41] all on our borders because the previous [26:43] government was much more proactive on [26:45] the security front than the current one [26:47] >> than the than the outgoing one. We are [26:49] going to be defending our borders. [26:51] rebuilding our relationships. The Bahad [26:53] party that I have the honor of joining [26:55] with Naftali Bennett as the candidate [26:58] for prime minister has an exact plan how [27:00] to fix our cost of living and are coming [27:04] ready to fix our defense, our foreign [27:06] relations, our cost of living, pass a [27:09] constitution in the spirit of the last [27:12] time this country actually had a [27:14] consensus from all angles based on the [27:17] Declaration of Independence. And that's [27:19] what just like in a startup, you set out [27:21] a big vision with a great leader and [27:23] team and you go to fix it. And that's [27:25] what we're going to do. [applause] [27:28] >> All right. Can you pass a microphone [27:29] down to Mosha, please? Thank you. All [27:31] right. And last, but certainly not least [27:33] for this first round, [27:35] Mosha Faglin of the Zahoot party. 5 [27:37] minutes. [applause] [27:44] >> Thank you very much. And I apologize [27:47] apologize for from you Dan for not for [27:50] not for not being here to hear what you [27:52] said but I heard the rest of you. And uh [27:56] I want to ask you a a a question all of [27:58] you here in in in this beautiful hall. [28:02] What is the issue? What is the subject [28:05] of these election coming? What is the [28:07] main issue? What is the what are these [28:10] election [28:12] going around? [28:16] That's that's terrible. That's [28:20] you know everything is very everything [28:21] is very important. But don't you think [28:24] that the issue is the 7th of October? [28:27] Don't you think that the issue, the real [28:29] issue [28:30] that makes this election so important is [28:33] the fact that exactly 3 years and 20 [28:37] days [28:39] after the most horrible [28:43] Holocaust, [28:45] the Holocaust day that we had here three [28:47] years ago in 20 years and 20 days at the [28:50] election day going to be three years and [28:53] 20 days since the worst [28:58] I I [clears throat] don't know how to [28:59] describe it. Pog holocaust [29:03] that the Jewish nation had since since [29:05] Oshitz. Don't you think that this is the [29:08] issue? [29:12] >> Don't you think that the issue is how do [29:13] we [29:15] make sure that something like this don't [29:17] happen again to our grandchildren and to [29:19] our children and to our grandchildren? [29:21] Of course, this is the issue. So what [29:24] did we do in the last three years [29:28] to make sure that will never happen [29:30] again? Did we try to understand what [29:33] happened? [29:36] No. We tried to use what happened in [29:40] order to bash the other political side [29:42] for three years. This that's all we're [29:44] doing including what's happening here. [29:48] Now let me tell you something. [29:51] Both sides left and right share the same [29:55] responsibility responsibility to what [29:58] happened. [30:00] You know why? Why I'm saying that in [30:02] such big confidence? [30:05] Because the left is responsible because [30:08] of bringing the terrorists from Tunisia [30:11] 30 years ago to the [applause] [30:15] most to the to the to the U entrance of [30:20] the kindergarten of Kibut of Kibutz. [30:24] They did it. No one no one can say they [30:27] didn't. [30:30] I did whatever I could to stop it when I [30:32] started Zulenu at the time. [30:35] I was [30:37] tried for sedition for that. I'm very [30:39] proud of it. So, of course, the left is [30:42] responsible. But you know something? [30:45] That was 30 years ago. [30:48] The right took over in 1996. [30:52] At the same year they did that, we [30:54] already won the election. Binuo become [30:57] prime minister then at 1996 [30:59] against all odds on the waves of our [31:02] demonstrations. [31:04] for for 30 years till the horrors of the [31:07] seventh 7th of October most of these [31:10] years we were in power did we throw the [31:13] Osla process to the garbage of history [31:16] no we continued it so we cannot blame [31:18] the left anymore [31:23] so both sides sharing the same [31:25] responsibility and what do they do in [31:28] the for the last three years until this [31:30] coming election [31:32] instead of dealing with a problem, using [31:35] the problem to bash the other side. And [31:37] that's how we get to the election. And [31:39] notice [31:42] the biggest resp. [31:46] >> One minute. [31:47] >> Oh, only one. [31:49] We just started. [laughter] [31:53] Okay. The bottom line is [31:56] I'll go I'll jump straight to the bottom [31:57] line. The bottom line is that the only [32:00] ones [32:02] who fought against Oslo from the [32:04] beginning never gave up for the from for [32:07] the concept of Oslo knew at the 7th of [32:10] Octo of October exactly where it's going [32:12] to take us now three years after where [32:14] there's a hood people there's a hood [32:16] party and and and myself leading it and [32:19] you all know it and you all know it and [32:22] we are the only ones [32:24] they're not still using the same methods [32:27] and the same and and still and not [32:29] thinking through the same concept that's [32:32] still leading the the army and the [32:35] politicians [32:37] the same same concepts that led us to [32:39] the horrors of the 7th of October that's [32:42] why we need the Zahoot party in politics [32:45] back in the back in the government [32:47] because the Zahoot party is not just a [32:49] right a right-wing party the Zahoot [32:52] party will not let 700 trucks loads of [32:56] supplies straight to the kamas every [32:58] day. [32:59] >> Thank you. [applause] [33:01] Thank you. [33:02] >> Stop here. [33:03] >> One more sentence. Give me one more [33:05] sentence. We'll let you one more [33:07] sentence and then we'll stop you. [33:08] >> The bottom line is one. It is very very [33:12] important and I'm full of appreciation [33:14] for all the right-wing parties the lud [33:17] of course smile of course Benville who [33:20] are doing tremendous good things in the [33:23] train that go still going in the same [33:26] path of Oslo. We need to take this train [33:29] to a whole new direction and only do [33:32] that. [33:32] >> Thank you. [applause] [33:36] >> Number one is [33:38] >> Mati from Bayad [33:41] pulled out number one. So pull that up. [33:44] Here we go. [33:46] Napali Bennett, the head of your party, [33:49] started his political career leading the [33:51] National Religious Party. He built it up [33:53] and then abandoned it after one term. He [33:56] started a new party that failed to reach [33:58] the threshold when he later got in [34:00] leading his third party in a 5-year [34:02] span. He broke an election promise and [34:05] led a government coalition that included [34:07] an anti-ionist Arab party. He also [34:09] promised his voters live on TV in [34:12] writing that he would not serve with Ya [34:13] Laid, who was his current party partner. [34:16] Considering this history, why should a [34:19] voter trust Naftali Bennett? You have [34:21] two minutes. [applause] [34:26] as soon as the applause stops. [34:29] Go ahead. [34:29] >> So, thank you for the applause. Uh, hey, [34:32] that was for me. [laughter] [34:36] >> Go ahead, Matthew. [34:36] >> So, I will just say you talked about a [34:39] lot of political moves. [34:42] Naftali Bennett's ideals and his plans [34:46] and his the way that he leads this [34:48] country has never changed from the [34:52] minute he walked into politics as chief [34:54] of staffer Netanyao until this day. His [34:58] policy has never wavered under this [35:02] current government. For the last four [35:03] years and under the Netanyahu [35:06] governments up until then Natanyao was [35:09] continuously trying a policy of [35:12] containment and uneasement for Gaza. [35:16] That was Netanyahu's le government. [35:19] Naftali Bennett was the one that urged [35:21] him to topple Hamas, to go deeper and [35:26] dismantle Hamas into Gaza, [35:30] to call out Qatar as an enemy of the [35:32] state, [35:34] to release the employees that are [35:38] currently in the prime minister's office [35:39] to this day that receive funding from [35:42] Qatar during a war. That is Naftali [35:47] Bennett's ideals from the day he entered [35:50] politics up until now. Now four five [35:53] years ago as Pesak mentioned Napali [35:57] Bennett was offered two options. Either [36:00] go to another fifth election [36:03] or support Netanyahu's attempt to form a [36:07] government with Ram and Mansour Abbas. [36:10] All the coalition partners on the right [36:12] wing agreed to Natanyao's plan. to form [36:16] a government besides Maltric Benver even [36:19] agreed. All of them agreed to it. [36:23] Naftalia including thinking that this [36:25] was in the best interest of the country. [36:27] He did it as prime minister after Smotri [36:30] vetoed it and he took responsibility for [36:34] that decision seeing that we were coming [36:36] out of Corona. Needed to bring the [36:39] country back from that crisis. Needed to [36:41] prepare for the war in Iran. needed to [36:43] actually fight kamas in Gaza and need to [36:47] fight terror and need to take this [36:49] country back, pass a budget and manage [36:52] this country. [36:52] >> Thank you. [36:53] >> And took responsibility for that. Thank [36:55] you. All right. Who got number two? [36:57] Number two is okay. [37:00] Speaking on a recent podcast, Itamar [37:03] Beng, the leader of your party, called [37:05] for targeted assassinations to take down [37:08] 30 to 40 every night in Gaza, adding [37:11] that targets should not be restricted to [37:12] active combatants, declaring that some [37:15] Palestinians were quote not worthy of [37:17] life and not even people. The [37:20] anti-Israel crowd used these statements [37:22] to attack Israel. [37:24] This is one example of Benvir making [37:26] inflammatory statements that have been [37:28] amplified by our enemies, causing damage [37:30] to Israel's reputation and standing [37:32] internationally. [37:34] Most of these statements are not even [37:35] reflective of Israel's policies and [37:37] therefore inflame criticism of Israel [37:39] with no benefit whatsoever. [37:42] Notwithstanding the many positive [37:44] security initiatives such as arming more [37:46] law- abiding citizens and important [37:48] reforms to the prison system among [37:49] others, why should we trust that Benvir [37:52] will not cause even more damage to [37:54] Israel's reputation and strengthen our [37:56] enemies should his influence grow in the [37:58] next government. [applause] [38:05] When uh I heard that Itamar Beng wanted [38:08] to put alligators and crocodiles around [38:11] the prison system, I'm like, he must [38:13] have fallen off his chair. Something [38:15] must have happened to this guy. That is [38:16] the weirdest thing I ever heard of. And [38:19] then suddenly it was explained to me by [38:22] Arabs that they're scared of this thing. [38:24] Ji would be jihadis. [38:27] The bottom line is Benvir's face. He's [38:31] looking and speaking with the east, not [38:34] with the west. Our endless conversations [38:37] with the west have yielded nothing. Our [38:40] appeasement has yielded nothing. [38:42] Here comes a guy who's literally scaring [38:45] the jihadis for the first time. They [38:48] tell me that. And so his whole posture [38:52] is towards freeing Israelis from [38:55] appeasement posture and pushing bad guys [38:59] to understand that we're the balabyte. [39:01] We're the owner of this house. [39:05] [applause] [39:08] They got to know that we mean business. [39:10] When the jihad looks around the world, [39:12] they look at England and the Netherlands [39:13] and Belgium and France and they think, [39:15] "We're going to get these guys because [39:17] they're all a bunch of softies. And then [39:20] they look to Israel and they're like, [39:21] "Well, it's not so easy after all." And [39:24] in those countries, I get messages from [39:26] people like Tommy Robinson and they're [39:28] like, "We wish we had a Ben around here [39:30] to push back against the jihad." So, I [39:33] think the answer is very simple. Uh he [39:35] is speaking towards uh an audience that [39:38] needs to to hear from us and needs to be [39:41] scared and to deter them. And I think [39:44] everybody in this audience uh should be [39:46] instead of thinking that like uh he's [39:48] hurting our international reputation. [39:50] And by the way, think about it. Is Ben [39:52] hurting our international reputation? [39:53] >> 15 seconds. [39:54] >> The the uh the genocide narrative. Is [39:57] that Ben? No. The the the Netanyahu, the [40:00] settler youth, whoever it is, they find [40:02] enemies all the time and try to take us [40:04] down narratively around the world. Here [40:06] comes one guy who's speaking straight [40:08] and strong. The enemies are afraid and [40:10] that's a good thing. [40:12] >> [applause] [40:15] >> And Yishi gets extra points for [40:17] finishing right on time. Thank you. All [40:20] right. Who's number three? [40:22] Mosha Fagelin. [40:26] Zahoot was founded as a libertarian [40:28] party. According to its manifesto, it [40:31] stands for small government [40:32] libertarianism, lower taxes, less state [40:34] control, freedom for the individual. Yet [40:38] you are now number two on a joint list [40:40] with Betalos Modric, the finance [40:43] minister who raised the VAT, grew the [40:46] state budget, and signed off on [40:48] coalition funds that sent billions to [40:50] sectoral interests, including the Karedi [40:53] institutions whose members do not serve. [40:56] In 2019, you withdrew Zahoot from the [40:58] election and backed Netanyahu in [41:01] exchange for a promised ministry and [41:03] later went back to into Likood. Your own [41:06] partner currently concedes that there [41:09] are differences between the two parties [41:11] and they are not seeking to hide them. [41:13] So which faglin are voters getting? The [41:16] libertarian who wants to shrink the [41:17] state or a coalition partner who will [41:20] vote for the next big budget? If it [41:23] comes to a choice, which one wins? [41:27] [applause] [41:31] >> The libertarian wants to shrink the [41:33] state. [41:36] >> [applause] [41:40] >> And Mosha Fagland has just saved us two [41:42] minutes. [41:44] [applause] [41:47] I [41:47] >> mean, you have two minutes. If you want [41:48] to spend the time, [41:50] >> it's yours. [41:51] >> Look, I I wasn't could, you know, like [41:54] and you're giving me a microphone. I I [41:56] hold it. [laughter] [41:57] Look, [41:58] look, as I mentioned before, the issue [42:01] is the 7th of October and on these issue [42:05] on geopolitical and security issues, [42:07] there's no big differences and we [42:10] definitely need to hold hands together [42:12] to make sure that we we we passing the [42:15] threshold because I found myself with a [42:17] with a ideas and [42:21] and and concepts so many people likes [42:24] that were afraid to vote for us because [42:26] of this sing of threshold. So yes, we [42:29] hold hands together because today the [42:31] issue before economics and before [42:34] everything else as I said before is to [42:36] get Israel on a new path, not the same [42:39] path that's going to take us to the same [42:41] disaster because when you're doing the [42:43] same experiment and and and and [42:46] expecting different results, you are [42:48] crazy as Albert Einstein said. So yes, [42:51] yes, we going together with with with [42:54] our good friends from from religious [42:56] Zionists who were the mo the the the [42:59] silver platter that saved Israel at the [43:02] 7th of October. Mostly mo most dominate [43:06] people came from the religious Zionist. [43:08] Everybody saw that. I don't need to go [43:10] down to details. Everybody knows that. [43:12] I'm very proud that I'm going with the [43:14] religious Zionists. But the difference [43:17] between the two parties is is what can [43:19] we do? The religious Zionists are mostly [43:22] sectoral [43:24] parties and the Zahoot is open to the [43:27] entire Israeli society. We don't have [43:29] religious non-religious. We most of our [43:32] candidates by the way are women. [43:36] We have more women on our list than you [43:38] in the Democrats. You know that. So yes, [43:42] we we we believe in freedom. We we we [43:45] believe in freedom. We talking we we [43:47] talking about the combination of liberty [43:50] and identity very smart very strong [43:54] national identity with all the human [43:56] rights and all the libertanian ideas [43:59] those individual individuals. Thank you [44:01] very much. [44:02] >> All right we got number four. Who's [44:04] number four? Mean [44:06] loose. Hold on. I get your question. [44:10] >> Are you afraid now? I'm very afraid [44:12] because I saw the questions you just [44:13] asked other people. You're you're [44:15] serious. [44:17] >> Let's see you doing. [44:18] >> At the launch of your party list this [44:20] month, Avid Lieberman told the audience [44:22] that since founding the party in 1999, [44:25] it has stayed true to its path and never [44:28] zigzagged or wavered. Consistency is [44:30] central to your brand. But the record [44:33] looks different to many voters. Your [44:35] party sat in several Netanyahu [44:37] governments alongside the Karedi [44:38] parties, then made refusing to sit with [44:40] them your defining issue. You attacked [44:43] Raham as illegitimate and then sat in a [44:45] coalition that depended on it. And in [44:48] 2019, your party's refusal to join a [44:50] government triggered a repeat election. [44:52] Many still see Liberman as the central [44:55] figure responsible for the crisis that [44:57] produced so many elections in a row. [45:00] Today you present yourself as the bridge [45:02] who can hold an anti- Netanyao [45:03] government together. Why should voters [45:06] believe you will be a stable partner [45:07] this time rather than the party that [45:10] brings the next government down? [45:13] >> You can clap if you [applause] [45:15] [cheering] [45:17] I I think that what you just said [45:19] misrepresents uh uh the reality and I'll [45:23] explain why. The person that I'm [45:25] actually going to quote is Mayor Porsche [45:28] uh the minister of something one of the [45:32] useless ministries that there are in our [45:34] country because we like having big [45:35] governments. Uh so is I don't even [45:38] remember which ministry to be honest. [45:40] >> Jerusalem. [45:41] >> Sorry. [45:41] >> Jerusalem. [45:42] >> Ministry. [45:43] >> So I love Jerusalem. Sorry. [laughter] [45:46] >> She knows. She knows how to pick my [45:50] >> So he he said in a recent speech in the [45:53] Knesset that there's one person that was [45:55] always consistent about the need to [45:57] draft heradium. One person and that's [45:59] Avdor Lieberman. He said even when we [46:01] sat together he always demanded that [46:04] that would be contingent on us serving. [46:07] We messed around with him afterwards but [46:10] he demanded that and he demanded that it [46:12] would be contingent on us serving. In [46:15] 2019, Lieberman refused to join the [46:17] government because he understood that [46:19] for Israel to survive, for Israel to [46:22] survive, the community needs to [46:24] integrate into the general population. [46:27] It needs to happen in the economy and it [46:29] needs to happen in the army. We're [46:31] missing soldiers. The chief of staff of [46:34] the IDF is begging for soldiers. He's [46:36] saying that the miluim nikim are [46:38] breaking down. It's impossible to [46:40] continue winning wars. We're rightwing, [46:42] right? I'm right wing. I don't I think [46:44] I'm the most right-wing person on this [46:45] table, but we can dis we can disagree [46:47] about that afterwards. [laughter] [46:49] We can disagree about that afterwards. [46:51] But we're right-wing. If we want to win [46:52] wars, if we want to keep Judeian [46:54] Samaria, if we want to do all of these [46:56] things, we need soldiers. And we also [46:58] need a strong economy. For us to have a [47:00] strong economy, we need the to integrate [47:02] into society. For that to happen, [47:07] [applause] [47:08] >> for that to happen, and it's not out of [47:10] hate, right? If I hated the I would say [47:13] I don't want them a part of the [47:14] community. It's because I love them [47:15] because they're my brothers and I need [47:17] them by my side. Now, for that to [47:19] happen, we need the one person that [47:21] stood up in 2019 and said, "No, I'm [47:25] willing not to join the government to go [47:27] back to an election because this issue [47:29] is important enough." [47:31] >> [applause] [47:35] >> Before we hear from our our last [47:38] panelist, I should point out now that [47:40] the topic has been mentioned that both [47:42] Shas and Gimmel were invited to this [47:45] panel and declined to attend just cuz [47:48] many people have asked. [47:51] Just saying. [47:53] All right, more you ready? [47:57] Of all the Zionist parties, your [48:00] political camp, your party or whatever [48:03] it was called in the past, and the [48:05] parties that became your party, have [48:07] always been the most supportive of the [48:09] Oslo process and of a two-state [48:12] solution. [48:13] Considering the events of October 7th [48:15] and everything that we've seen since, [48:18] has that position changed from what it [48:21] was before October 7th? [48:23] If not, why not? And if it has changed, [48:27] in what way has it changed and why? [48:30] >> For 17 years, we've been told [48:34] we can use power and more power and more [48:38] power and we don't use more and enough [48:40] power to win, crush, kill. [48:47] And everything they told us is that we [48:50] need to contain, right? We need to [48:53] contain the conflict. This is what [48:56] Netanyahu believed in. We need to [48:59] contain it [49:01] and uh we need to pass money for Hamas. [49:05] So there won't be any opportunity for an [49:09] alternative for Hamas [49:11] because as you remember Netanyahu is the [49:14] one that went to Qatar and told them [49:17] pass money to Hamas after after the [49:20] Palestinian authorities said that they [49:22] want to stop it. [49:24] In 2018 Kamas wasn't big as it's it is [49:28] now. [49:30] They passed [49:32] billions of dollars. They actually build [49:36] kamas with this money. [49:39] And this is the situation we got. [49:42] And if we need to take some conclusion [49:46] is that the containing is not working [49:50] because it's blew up in our face. [49:53] As they said, it's like a it's like a [49:56] little shot. Like it's not comfortable, [49:58] but we can live with that. We can't. [50:02] So now we need to decide. [50:06] There is fake in here that is not saying [50:10] the actual word but we all know what [50:12] he's suggesting. [50:14] >> You have 15 seconds [50:15] >> now. Yeah, you can clap. You can clap. [50:19] But if you think [applause] [50:21] if you think really in your mind that [50:26] this is possible, [50:28] this is what it means to be Jewish [50:30] morality, then you can clap. But this is [50:34] not [applause] [50:35] [cheering] [50:39] [applause] [50:41] and that's okay. And that's okay. [50:45] But there is a solution. You need to be [50:48] strong in military, but you also need to [50:52] have a strong policy. [50:54] >> Thank you. [50:54] >> And you need to have a solution. Thank [50:57] you. [50:58] >> Last round. They each get two minutes to [51:00] close to say whatever they want, [51:02] whatever they want to leave you with. [51:04] >> All right. Who got number one? Moran. [51:07] Moranzer Katenstein of the Democratin. [51:10] You have two minutes. [51:14] >> Yeah. [51:16] >> Yeah. [laughter] [51:19] The Democrats are the only Zionist [51:22] left-wing [51:24] uh party. It is. But we do believe in [51:29] the future of our children. And we don't [51:31] want that. The only thing that we can [51:34] have to them for them is wars and more [51:37] wars and more wars. We do believe in [51:40] policy. We do believe about forming [51:43] coalitions with stable uh um Arab [51:48] countries across us because yes this is [51:51] a tough neighborhood [51:53] but we need to work with some of them. [51:56] Take for example what happened with the [51:58] plane even though we don't have policy [52:02] with Saudi Arabia. Okay. But we knew the [52:06] minute that the plane was there on the [52:10] ground that it will be okay. Right. [52:14] Think about our safest borders. [52:18] Our safest borders are the one that we [52:20] had peace agreements with Egypt and [52:25] Jordan. They there is countries that [52:28] want to have [52:31] a co cooperation with us. there is. We [52:34] can't just say we live by ourselves. [52:38] We need to have stable and strong [52:41] relationships. Right now, this [52:43] government is jeopardizing the most [52:47] strategic alliance we have with the [52:50] United States. As mentioned here, [52:54] we are not Israel is not it has to be a [52:58] bipartisan country. It means that we [53:01] need to work with both parties in the [53:02] United States and we need to get their [53:04] supports and right now they don't trust [53:08] us. We are not stable enough. We are [53:12] extreme right now. [53:14] Think what happened if the next [53:17] government [53:18] >> in 10 seconds. [53:20] >> Think what happened. If the next [53:22] government of Fagling and Smriidge and [53:25] Bangville will come to power. Thank you. [53:29] >> That's okay. [53:30] >> Thank you. [applause] [53:31] >> I have I'm thinking about the future of [53:35] my children and for the children of my [53:38] children, [53:39] >> we need to win. Thank you. [53:41] >> All right. Who got number two? Who's [53:43] number [applause] two? All right. You [53:45] flesher. Closing statement. Two minutes. [53:47] >> Thank you very much. Just one thing I [53:49] want to say to Moran. Uh giving away the [53:51] land of Israel is dumb. Thank you. [53:55] [applause] [53:56] [cheering] [54:00] >> [applause] [54:01] >> Look guys, I I want to tell you [54:03] something from my heart. It's very very [54:04] simple. Uh there are many great ideas [54:07] that we've heard about at this table. [54:08] There are many people at this table that [54:09] I respect very much. I actually respect [54:11] everybody here. I think everybody here [54:12] is a Zionist and a lover of the state of [54:14] Israel. I think that there's a lot of [54:16] good people that you're going to hear [54:17] from in the next panel as well. But at [54:20] the end, you have one vote. [54:24] And that one vote, you got to get with [54:27] that vote what you want. [54:30] And not everybody has a special skill in [54:34] politics, which is to get it done. Not [54:37] to sit in opposition, not to give fancy [54:40] speeches, but to actually get it done. [54:43] [clears throat] Ben, you can like him, [54:45] not like him, but you don't have to [54:47] marry your daughter to him. You don't [54:48] have to have him over for Sheba's lunch. [54:51] He is a hammer. He gets it done. I have [54:54] seen it. He is a person who understands [54:57] the Israeli system. He's not above it. [54:59] He's not just a thinker. He's not just [55:01] giving you, you know, amazing [55:02] understandings. And those people are [55:04] very important, but he's a guy who gets [55:06] it done. Not everybody can change the [55:09] reality on the Temple Mount. A lot of [55:10] people can talk about it, but somebody [55:12] can get it done. [55:14] Not everybody can get 300,000 new guns [55:17] into the hands of Israelis. Not [55:19] everybody can really go into a system, a [55:22] very tough prison system, which is hard [55:23] to change. These places are hard to [55:25] change. They're tough bureaucracies. If [55:27] you've ever dealt with the Israeli [55:28] government, you know it's hard to change [55:30] them. There's a guy. He's got that [55:32] skill. He knows how to get things done. [55:35] And that's your vote. The question is, [55:37] where are you going to give that one [55:38] vote? to the guy that's the hammer who's [55:40] going to make you safer or to the guy [55:42] that talks nice and has great ideas but [55:44] doesn't have that special skill to get [55:46] it done. Thank you. [applause] [55:51] >> I got to tell you if there were points [55:53] for for finishing right on the button I [55:55] don't know man. All right. Who got [55:57] number three? Don Danil Israel Betenu [56:02] closing statement two minutes start now. [56:04] >> So we spoke a lot about a lot of things. [56:06] We've spoke about economics, about the [56:09] issue, but I actually agree with Moshe [56:11] Fagelin. I think that's the number one [56:13] issue that should be on everyone's mind [56:15] on October 27th is October 7th, 2003. [56:20] And I also agree with Moshe that Oslo [56:23] was part of the problem that this [56:25] disengagement that the Vikdor Liberman [56:27] voted against and was fired from the [56:29] government because of is part of the [56:31] problem. but also that the shalit deal [56:33] was part of the problem which released [56:37] Senoir [56:38] that Netanyahu not listening to the [56:41] defense minister Lieberman's warning in [56:44] 2016 where he predicted exactly what [56:46] would happen on October 7 was part of [56:48] the problem that the 2018 Qatari money [56:52] going into Gaza was part of the problem [56:54] and by the way I believe you believe [56:55] everything that I said right now that's [56:56] part of the problem but then at the end [56:59] of the day the conclusion is Let's keep [57:01] the same person that failed in charge. [57:04] And that I don't understand. [57:08] The person that not only failed, but [57:10] that when he failed is unable to say, [57:13] "I'm responsible and I failed." What [57:15] does he say? They didn't wake me up on [57:18] that morning. As if Qatari money was [57:21] about being woken up on that on that [57:23] morning. As if releasing sinir is about [57:26] being woken up on that morning. No, we [57:29] need change. The right result after the [57:31] worst disaster in Jewish history since [57:34] the Holocaust in all of Israeli history. [57:38] The right result is for the person that [57:40] was in charge on that day to be [57:42] replaced. And if you ask me, the right [57:45] person to replace him is the person that [57:47] warned that this is exactly what would [57:49] happen times and time and time again. [57:53] Thank you. [applause] [57:55] >> Thank you. [57:59] So the change we need is instead of the [58:02] Daniel to bring the guy created a [58:05] government with a Muslim Brotherhood. [58:07] That would be the right change [58:10] and I agree with everything you said [58:12] including what you said about Nataniel. [58:13] But are you crazy really to to to bring [58:17] the same concept that poisoned us since [58:20] Oslo with with these ideas and on top of [58:22] that the guy who created the government [58:24] with the with the Muslim Brotherhood. [58:26] Listen guys, [58:29] we can't make have more of the same. [58:32] And everybody offers here more of the [58:35] same. Exactly the same concepts, mostly [58:38] the same people [58:40] that brought the disaster of the 7th of [58:42] October. We can't bring more of the [58:45] same. Our problem is that we lost our [58:48] Jewish identity, our national Jewish [58:50] identity. And with it, we lost our sense [58:52] of justification. Hey guys, the Gaza [58:56] Strip is part of Erat is the land of [58:58] Israel that we got from God. It's ours. [59:01] [cheering] [59:02] [applause] [59:04] And the answer is the only answer is to [59:07] win that war. Finally, we should win [59:10] that war. [applause] [59:12] And the only way to win that war is [59:15] kibush [59:18] occupation. send them away and we can [59:21] flourish the land with Jewish villages. [59:24] We should have had already the new [59:26] international airport built in the Gaza [59:28] Strip right now. That is clear from the [59:30] last Arab in Gaza. That's the only moral [59:34] solution. [applause] [59:38] And you know what? The president of [59:41] America came with that solution and [59:42] begged us to do that. And we didn't. [59:45] Why? Because both sides left and right [59:48] still occupied concept of Oslo. [59:50] >> 15 seconds. [59:52] We cannot do the same experiment again [59:56] and expecting different results. And the [59:59] only party that offer you a new path of [60:03] justice of victory is the party that [60:06] goes with a mikdash pin, not [applause] [60:12] >> we did not forget the dream of the [60:14] Jewish nation. We don't need a pin of a [60:18] hanging rope or ideas of alligators. [60:21] We're not talking negatively. We [60:23] connect. We are we connecting back [60:25] ourselves to our vision. The vision of [60:28] the people of Israel for 3,000. [60:31] >> That's the party. [applause] [60:34] >> All right. Last but not least, Montigil [60:36] of the [60:37] >> All right. So, I would like you to clap [60:40] or raise your hands if you or your [60:43] children or grandchildren have served in [60:46] the army over the last three years. [60:48] [applause] [60:55] Thank you for your service. Now, I would [60:57] like you to clap or applaud or raise [61:00] your hands if you, your children or your [61:02] grandchildren have been exempt from [61:04] service over the last three years. [61:10] There is 30% of this country that is [61:14] continuously exempt from service. They [61:18] are incentivized. They are even paid. We [61:21] know this because at the bakad party we [61:24] know we need a course correction. [61:26] Everyone here has talked about problems. [61:29] >> We come with solutions. The Arabs do [61:32] have to serve. However, [61:35] if we do not do a course correction very [61:37] quickly and that is the topic of this [61:39] upcoming elections because on October [61:42] 27th we will be voting not just for on [61:46] the security issues. We will be voting [61:48] for who is going to fight in the next [61:50] war where all of our children and all of [61:53] ourselves including myself have put on a [61:55] uniform for the first time the week [61:57] after October 7th in 8 years and went up [62:01] north and spent over 100 days up north [62:03] serving our country. [62:06] [applause] [62:07] All of our children are too exhausted to [62:10] continue to fight. Our army is begging [62:12] for soldiers. the only leader with the [62:16] team and the plans and the competence [62:20] that has put together a comprehensive [62:22] plan for the vision of our country for [62:24] 80 years from now with the capability [62:27] and the right team to actually get it [62:30] done is Naftali Bennett. That is what is [62:33] going to change the course correction of [62:35] our country if he is the next prime [62:37] minister with the team he is bringing [62:39] around him with an incredibly hawkish [62:43] policy and that is what will secure [62:46] Israel in 2030 [62:50] [applause] [62:51] ladies and gentlemen let's give a big [62:52] round of applause for our first panel [62:55] Mosha Fagan of Zahu Yishi Fleer of Mati [62:59] of Danil of Israel Betu and [63:03] zeratocratim. [63:05] Thank you so much for participating in [63:07] this. Thank you. [63:09] >> Building a home in Israel is a [music] [63:11] major investment and putting that [63:12] responsibility in someone else's hands [63:14] takes trust. Core Construct was built by [63:17] Oolin for Oolin. [music] Our Anglo team [63:19] has lived in Israel for years and many [63:21] of us have served in the IDF. We [63:23] understand our clients because we've [63:24] been in their shoes. We build more than [63:26] homes. We build partnerships delivering [63:29] quality [music] work, clear [63:30] communication, and professional [63:32] solutions when challenges arise because [63:33] we treat each home as [music] if it were [63:35] our own. [63:42] A few months before he was murdered, my [63:44] good friend Charlie Kirk outlined a [63:46] problem that we all know about. There is [63:48] a flood of misinformation about Israel. [63:51] Lies and bias against Israel spread [63:53] online like wildfire. And then those who [63:55] are defending Israel often find [63:57] themselves [music] [63:58] playing catchup, playing defense long [64:00] after the false narratives have [music] [64:02] taken root. In that letter, Charlie [64:04] suggested a rapid response network, a [64:07] system where userfriendly content that [64:10] responds [music] directly to the claims [64:12] being made in the day headlines is [64:14] delivered to people who can make use [64:16] [music] of it. Charlie also suggested [64:18] that there be a website that people can [64:20] go to that houses all this information [64:22] where people can go get answers [music] [64:24] and basic background information on [64:26] issues relating to Israel. Charlie and [64:29] our team here at Israel 365 began [64:32] working on the Israel Truth Network, [64:34] building out everything that Charlie [64:36] recommended in his famous letter to the [64:39] prime minister. Go to [64:40] www.theisraeltruthnetwork.org [64:43] and become part of the fight for truth. [64:54] Without further ado, it is my honor to [64:56] call up to the stage panel number two. [64:59] Let's get that music going. [65:03] Minister Ami of the Likud Flur Hassan [65:07] Nakum of Amha Israel. Lean Pak Davidid [65:12] of Yashar with Gadien. [65:14] Ohal of religious scionism and a notat [65:17] wil of the reservists and the economics [65:20] party. Take your seats at the stage. All [65:23] right. Going first in this round is not [65:26] wil of the reserveists and e economics [65:32] party. Go ahead. You got five minutes [65:34] starting right now. Well, as soon as the [65:36] applause stops. Go ahead. [65:39] >> Thank you. It is my pleasure to [65:41] introduce to you the combined list of [65:44] the reservist and economics party. The [65:47] party that gives you the most for your [65:49] vote of [65:52] what we bring together is the only party [65:56] that addresses the three key pain points [66:00] in Israeli society today. And it is [66:03] headed by, I think, the three most [66:05] intense individuals on each of these [66:08] issues. And it does it in a package, and [66:12] I'll explain, that finally tries to [66:15] break the insanity that has gripped [66:18] Israeli politics for several years now. [66:22] So, I'll start first with the pressure [66:24] points. [66:26] Many people talk and it's important [66:29] about the fact that everyone in Israel, [66:32] everyone should serve their country. [66:35] It's their country. [66:37] But for the reser, it's in their body. [66:41] This is actually a party except for me [66:44] that is put together by reservists. [66:48] Their name is not just a name. When you [66:51] talk to them, they are all people who [66:53] not only went to the front on October [66:56] 7th, but have served hundreds [snorts] [66:59] of days since. Yaz Hendel has [67:03] established a battalion of people over [67:05] 50 who have served their country since. [67:09] For them, this is something that they [67:12] will not yield on. It's not just talk. [67:15] It is a way of life. So one pain point [67:19] we have the most intense person on that. [67:23] Second the cost of living [67:28] has been very intense on this issue for [67:32] years truly being someone who fights for [67:35] the people against special interests [67:39] monopolies. He is bringing that [67:41] intensity to a major pain point that [67:45] cuts across uh all political camps and [67:49] Israelis care about deeply. And now me I [67:54] bring about really an understanding that [67:58] I think is unique in what is happening [68:02] in the world. I describe October 7th. [68:05] We've seen it today with the Green [68:08] Party. A playbook that has played in the [68:12] Soviet Union, in Eastern Europe, in the [68:14] Arab world, in Iran, and always ends [68:17] with the Jews gone. Understanding that [68:21] on October 7th, people emerged from [68:24] physical and metaphorical tunnels to [68:27] launch a global assault on Jewish life [68:31] everywhere and anywhere. this acute [68:34] understanding of what is amassing [68:37] against us in the world. And it's not [68:40] enough to just say they're all [68:42] anti-semmites. We seem to be stuck [68:45] between a political camp that thinks [68:48] that we if we only get rid of BB or [68:51] replace this government, we're good to [68:53] go. And a political camp that says [68:55] they're all anti-semites and then [68:58] descends into a kind of fatalism and [69:01] helplessness. The Zionist mindset that [69:04] understands the odds but then takes [69:08] action is something that I bring within [69:11] this list. I say that if I were to run [69:15] on an individual platform, it would be [69:18] make Israel smart again. And that is [69:21] exactly what I bring to the table on a [69:25] key pain issue. So you have with one [69:30] vote three very intense people who have [69:34] devoted their lives to what are the [69:36] three key issues in Israel today and now [69:40] about the political insanity. We are the [69:43] only party after everyone fell by the [69:46] wayside that is not attached to either [69:50] block. You've listened to the previous [69:53] panel. Notice what has the whole block [69:56] mentality got people to do. We are the [70:00] only party that talks about what rather [70:03] than who. The only party that is trying [70:06] to go against the grain of political [70:08] insanity where our politics and our [70:11] media and our brain cells are organized [70:14] according to who? What a moronic way to [70:18] organize our politics. And we are the [70:20] only ones that are not falling for that. [70:23] Because of this organization of blocks [70:26] of who? People whose children served the [70:30] country are making excuses for people [70:33] who said namon gases who sat in [70:36] government, in parliament, in cabinet. [70:39] And as they made decisions that sent [70:41] others to sacrifice, they made sure that [70:45] their children did not. And others are [70:48] talking about relying about parties that [70:51] are anti-Zionist. We are the only party [70:54] that doesn't fall for this political [70:56] insanity. [70:57] >> Thank you. [70:59] [applause and cheering] [70:59] >> All right. Who got number two? [71:02] Who got number two? [71:04] >> Shalom. Good evening. I hope you're [71:06] enjoying this uh beautiful event and [71:08] thank you [71:10] Israel 365 Robbie for organizing this [71:12] very very formal the most formal debate [71:15] I've ever participated in. Um, a story [71:20] about a week ago in the middle of the [71:23] holiday of Sukkot, [71:25] there was a a picture that was released [71:27] of the leaders of all the parties of the [71:30] opposition [71:31] uh met for a coffee in the living room [71:34] of uh uh [71:38] >> and it struck me as as as it did to many [71:40] other people that in the middle of [71:42] Sukkot they're meeting for a coffee [71:46] not in a suka [71:49] And it may sound like a like a small [71:52] minor detail who that nobody cares [71:54] about, but I think that it grasps the [71:56] whole essence of what these elections [71:59] are all about. [72:02] We are in the biggest struggle for the [72:04] most important issue and that is [72:08] the identity of this country. This is [72:12] what divides today left and right in [72:15] Israel. Another story. Couple of weeks [72:19] ago, I'm getting a phone Friday, I'm [72:21] getting a phone call from a mother for a [72:23] soldier that was removed [72:27] from his position by the army. Why? [72:31] Because he was carrying on his soul [72:34] shoulder a patch says saying the word [72:37] mashiach. [72:39] Now you have to understand this soldier [72:42] was a exemplary soldier with no record [72:45] of any problems at all. He was the only [72:49] one in his unit trained in the anti [72:52] anti- uh drone system and he was removed [72:56] risking the lives of the rest of the [72:58] soldiers simply because he was care. And [73:01] by the way, when he been told to take it [73:03] off, he immediately took it off. But he [73:06] was removed not only from that from his [73:08] position from for a couple of weeks or [73:10] months, but for always and also from [73:14] reserve. [73:17] And the mother on the phone cries and [73:19] tell me they don't understand that this [73:21] is what gives them strength, that this [73:24] is what brings up their spirit. Why in [73:27] so many patches in the army? Why they [73:29] always obsessed with the Msiah patch? [73:32] Always the same story. [73:36] We are in a struggle for the soul of [73:38] this country, for the identity of this [73:41] country. And I really agree. I don't [73:43] know, I'm sure you've heard what Moshe [73:45] Fagen said before about the issue of the [73:48] war of of the elections is the October [73:50] 7th massacre. And I agree in a sense, [73:54] but without realizing who we are, why we [73:58] are here, and what does it even mean to [74:01] be a Jewish state, it will be very, very [74:04] hard to even define what victory looks [74:07] like. What do we even want? [74:10] That's the struggle. So if you want to [74:13] have a party that will [74:17] provide not only promise as we did make [74:20] a whole we did a whole revolution in the [74:22] past four years in Yehudav Shamon. de [74:26] facto applying sovereignty in Judea and [74:28] Samaria. Building over 100 new Yeshu. [74:35] [applause] [74:36] Building almost 200 farms holding all [74:41] together 1 million square dunams in Udav [74:45] Shimon applying the facto sovereignty in [74:48] Juda and Samaria. There's only one party [74:50] who delivers not just promise delivers. [74:52] If you want a party who fights for free [74:54] economy, if you want a party that fights [74:58] for fixing the judicial system in so [75:01] that we will be a democracy so that the [75:03] vote you voting will actually have an [75:06] impact. [75:07] >> There's only one party for you and I [75:09] just finished the religious Zionist [75:11] party. [75:13] >> Well, you still have 50 seconds left. [75:15] You have one more thing to say. It's [75:17] your time. [75:17] >> Delic fine. But uh [laughter] [75:22] >> well thank you for saving us 40 seconds [75:24] here oh who got number three [75:28] >> who's got number three [75:31] minister Amitik of party [applause] [75:35] >> shalom and good evening everyone it's a [75:38] privilege to be here thank you for the [75:40] invitation [75:42] so I will start with the war we had a [75:45] very long and very tough before. [75:49] But [75:51] despite the difficulty and the heavy [75:55] extremely heavy prices that we have [75:57] paid, [75:59] if someone would have told you on [76:01] October 8th or 9th that in the in the [76:04] end of this war, [76:07] we're going to be in a situation where [76:10] Nasala [76:12] and the entire leadership of is gone. [76:17] Radwan forces do not exist. We're [76:20] sitting [76:22] inside Lebanon, deep inside Lebanon with [76:25] an agreement with the US and the [76:27] Lebanese state that allow us to stay [76:31] in this region until that is completely [76:35] disarmed. Completely disarmed. This is [76:37] Lebanon. [76:39] In Gaza, [76:42] we control over 60% of Gaza strip. [76:46] the entire senior leadership of Hamas [76:51] was eliminated. We're speaking about [76:53] Ismaia [76:55] Muhamad Sawir Sinir Muhamad [76:59] Shabana [77:01] day after day the senior commanders of [77:03] this organization [77:05] are being eliminated one after another [77:09] despite despite the pressure from the [77:12] entire world. [77:15] Hamas is incapable of continue to fire [77:19] his missiles. We've just finished one [77:22] year with zero rockets from Gaza. [77:26] [applause and cheering] [77:30] in Syria. [77:32] We didn't thought as Eisenot think that [77:35] Golani is an opportunity and [77:37] unfortunately the problem is not just in [77:40] Israel but also [77:42] with some very friendly state. [77:46] We said we are going forward into inside [77:50] uh deeper into the Golden Heights into [77:53] the top of the Hermon to make sure there [77:56] is no more situation in which you have [77:59] jihadist fence and then you have Jewish [78:02] villages. You have the IDF, you have a [78:06] meaningful buffer zone and then you have [78:09] the Jewish villages. And that's the same [78:11] for Lebanon, Gaza and the Golan. That's [78:13] the reality today. [78:15] >> [applause] [78:16] >> Last [78:18] last Iran. [78:21] If someone would have said told you [78:23] kamaya will be eliminated. The entire [78:26] leadership of the Iranian revolutionary [78:29] guard eliminated. [78:31] Every single nuclear site [78:35] was heavily hit was heavily hit. Every [78:38] single the the army the Iranian army [78:42] barely exist. That is the situation. [78:45] Does it mean that that's it? No more [78:47] challenges? No. We all know and we all [78:49] saw what happened last week. There are [78:51] more challenges to come. We have more ch [78:53] But the reality [78:55] all of that wouldn't happen without the [78:58] courageous leadership of Benjamin [79:00] Netanyahu [79:03] and his [79:05] and his cabinet. [79:07] And in the previous panel and I had the [79:09] privilege to listen, they were speaking [79:11] about the mistakes in the past. I'm not [79:13] saying that there weren't mistakes, that [79:15] everything was perfect. But for me, the [79:18] responsibility of Netanyahu is to [79:20] understand that we need to change [79:22] dramatically the way that we approach [79:24] the situation and to totally change the [79:28] reality in the Middle East. And I think [79:30] that his leadership was beyond [79:32] imagination [79:33] and his ability to stand an unbelievable [79:37] pressure unbelievable pressure from the [79:40] embargo of Biden who said don't [79:45] and we all understood who is who is the [79:47] don't refers to and last Judea and [79:51] Samaria mentioned Judea and Samaria it's [79:54] a revolution [79:58] 14 new villages that was authorized and [80:01] established in the past four years. And [80:04] now the alternative is simple. We had my [80:08] friend Danilos who said we need more [80:11] soldiers. But let me remind you, [80:13] Liberman suggested that it should be [80:15] Jordanian soldiers and he repeated that [80:19] a week after. Jordanian soldiers at the [80:23] heart of Judea and Samaria. That is [80:25] insanity. Insanity. Yay Golan and Yoram [80:30] Coin from Eisen Court party and Noan [80:32] Tibon from his Bennett party they're all [80:35] saying we're gonna evacuate [80:37] some of the farms Gulan said most of the [80:40] farms villages in Judea and Samaria [80:45] noble from Bennett party saying we need [80:48] brave leaders to establish a Palestinian [80:50] state that is the alternative so to [80:53] continue the revolution in the gal in [80:54] the negv and to be strong against our [80:57] enemies we need a right-wing government [81:00] with the and with Netanyahu as the [81:02] leader of the government. Thank you. [81:03] >> Thank you, Minister Shiki. [81:06] Who got number four? [81:08] Fur Hassan Mum of Israel. You have five [81:11] minutes starting now. [81:14] >> Thank you. [81:15] >> You have some fans here. I [81:16] >> I always Well, I always start my [81:18] evenings in Jerusalem saying [81:21] and it's wonderful to be here. It's [81:23] exhausting on the campaign trail. So, [81:25] it's really wonderful to be home. So [81:27] thank you so much. Thank you Rav Tuli. [81:29] Thank you Rav Bes. It's really wonderful [81:31] that you put together because I truly [81:33] feel that the Englishspeaking community [81:36] in this country not only are important, [81:39] not only are an asset, but they're [81:41] ignored by most political parties. [81:44] Your vote is not taken seriously. And we [81:47] know that because how many olim exists [81:50] in the various parties? And I'm very [81:53] proud to say that my party uh is the [81:55] party that's put an amii in the highest [81:58] uh spot of any party. And after me is [82:00] Lai number six from France. So that is [82:04] okay. So some of you know who I am. Uh [82:07] Flanum, former deputy mayor of [82:09] Jerusalem, special envoy for trade and [82:11] innovation. I was very involved in [82:12] Abraham Accord's work. And for those of [82:15] you who watch, I have my own show on uh [82:18] JNS. Yes, I am the mother of the scumbag [82:21] of the week concept and it's been very [82:23] therapeutic for me and all of my [82:25] co-hosts. On October the 7th, I woke up [82:30] in the morning like all of you to [82:32] sirens. Uh four, five sirens. That never [82:35] happens in Jerusalem. We don't have [82:36] sirens in Jerusalem because so many of [82:39] our population here are Arab Muslims. [82:42] So, you know, they don't like to send in [82:43] case oops, they make a mistake. So, they [82:46] don't really send uh rockets. And so [82:48] when I heard the fifth rocket go off, I [82:50] knew something was terribly wrong. And [82:53] at that point, even though I'm Shabbat [82:55] observant, I switched on my phone. I was [82:58] very scared. My husband wasn't at home. [82:59] He was in hospital with his father who [83:02] unfortunately died a couple of weeks [83:03] later. And I switched on my phone and I [83:05] realized that we were living a massacre, [83:07] something we never thought would happen [83:10] in our country, in a sovereign country. [83:12] We created this country so that that [83:13] would never happen. And it was [83:15] happening. And then at 10:00 [83:19] BBC is calling me and I'm thinking why [83:21] on earth is the BBC calling the I was [83:24] still deputy mayor of Jerusalem. I was I [83:26] had another month to go. Why on earth is [83:29] the BBC calling the deputy mayor of [83:31] Jerusalem for something happening in the [83:34] Gaza envelope and should I answer? Cuz [83:37] I'm shame Shabbat so I'm like struggling [83:39] with myself. Do I answer? Do I not [83:40] answer? And then it dawned on me that [83:43] the reason they were calling me is [83:45] because nobody else was answering. Not [83:48] the spokespeople of the army cuz they [83:51] didn't know what was going on. Not the [83:53] prime minister's office because [83:54] apparently 8 months wasn't enough time [83:56] for Netanyahu to find a foreign [83:58] spokesperson or a head of the public [84:00] director at diplomacy. And so nobody was [84:02] answering the phone. And I thought at [84:05] this moment God has put me here for this [84:07] moment. And I answered the phone. And [84:09] from that moment on, I did a very [84:12] different miluim. My miluim was [84:14] representing our country and our people [84:17] in the worst war of delegitimization [84:20] that we've ever seen. It hasn't just [84:22] affected us here. It's affected us all [84:25] around the world. It's affected [84:27] communities all around the world. And [84:29] still 3 years on, there's not really a [84:32] proper ministry that deals with this. [84:34] There's no real spokespeople that to [84:36] speak of. There's no plan. There's no [84:38] strategy. There's no infrastructure. [84:40] There's no owner. There's no leadership. [84:43] And much as I love hearing Netanyahu [84:46] speak at the UN, that's not a strategy. [84:50] You can be the best soldier in the [84:51] world, but you can't be the only [84:53] soldier. You need an army. Now, I met [84:56] offer Winter. He's a an army guy. He's a [84:59] brigadier general. And somehow he is the [85:02] only military leader that I ever met [85:04] that understood that the war of words, [85:07] the narrative war is also a national [85:10] security issue for the state of Israel. [85:12] And this is why I joined his party. [85:15] [applause] [85:17] And his story, [85:18] >> his story in a word is a story of a [85:22] general that was against the Conpsia [85:25] that warned about what would happen in [85:27] Gaza that said we shouldn't be paying [85:29] protection money for kamas and that got [85:31] reprimanded [85:33] by Gaddy and Yay Golan for what? For [85:36] what? For saying Kria Shema with his [85:39] soldiers before going into battle. This [85:42] is what they reprimanded him for. And so [85:44] I'm very happy to be standing behind a [85:47] man of vision, behind a strong military [85:50] leader who believes we have to have [85:52] short decisive wars and win them. We're [85:54] still at war. We haven't won the war [85:57] yet. [85:58] [applause] [86:00] and that he's willing to put everything [86:02] on the line in order to achieve this so [86:04] that he can become the next defense [86:06] minister and that we can help him with a [86:08] real ministry for public diplomacy for [86:11] the narrative warfare which is [86:13] handinhand with the defense ministry [86:15] defense of our good name and our [86:17] legitimacy. Thank you very much. [86:20] >> Thank you. [86:22] [applause] [86:23] Extra points for finishing right on [86:25] time. Flur, thank you very much. All [86:27] right, last but certainly not least, [86:29] Lean Pollock Davidid of Yashar with Gadi [86:33] Eisenot. [86:34] >> Thank you so much. Uh, [86:37] my name is Lean Pollock David. I'm 43 [86:39] years old, a mother of three. I come [86:41] from a foreign policy uh and national [86:44] security background. I actually used to [86:46] work uh for various prime ministers, [86:48] including Netanyahu himself when he was [86:50] [snorts] uh back in the day quite [86:51] another Netanyahu I would say. And I [86:54] joined Gadi Eisenhot in the Ashar party [86:57] for the re very reason that I think that [87:00] Israel is in desperate desperate need [87:03] for change and that God the Eisenhot is [87:05] the only leader who can get us there. [87:08] Now I want to talk about the upcoming [87:10] week because this is a very festive [87:13] event and I'm all for festiv festive [87:16] events like this like these and you know [87:19] celebrating the Israeli spirit and what [87:21] we're all about. But I want to talk [87:23] about the upcoming week Tuesday upcoming [87:27] Tuesday. I myself I'm going to Ber [87:29] Kibutz Berry the family the Cohen family [87:33] which I'm very close to landed it in my [87:35] home on October 7th that evening that is [87:39] the son of Pescoin if you know the [87:41] famous infamous hostage um um uh home [87:46] that was in Pescoin's house. I've been [87:49] accompanying and uh supporting this [87:51] family ever since. Nil Khajby also from [87:54] the sh party list is going to kibutski [87:57] sufim in order to remember his son who [88:01] was murdered. Shira Aner is going to a [88:05] memorial for her son. Shira Shapi Aner [88:10] Shapi is her son Gibbor Israel who saved [88:13] many lives. And Gaddy Eisenhot himself, [88:15] as you know, is a brief father and also [88:17] lost two nephews, is going to be [88:20] spending a lot of time in the OTV. [88:23] And so I don't want to be a party [88:25] pooper, but the reality is that we have [88:28] lost [88:30] a lot of our fellow Israelis [88:32] and that this government has failed us. [88:36] It has failed us on security. It has [88:39] failed us on foreign policy and our [88:41] global standing. It has failed us on [88:44] drafting our fellow Karedi Israelis and [88:49] supporting a state within a state and [88:51] autonomy. [88:53] It has failed us on supporting the ones [88:55] that serve. It has failed us on civilian [89:00] issues like the price the the cost of [89:01] living here. It has mainly failed us on [89:06] taking responsibility [89:09] and accountability [89:11] for what happened. [89:13] And it is failing us now with fueling a [89:18] divide amongst us. [89:20] When I look at the Israeli spirit, the [89:24] Israeli spirit that we all saw on [89:27] October 7th and then the month following [89:30] afterwards and the years following [89:32] afterwards. And we also saw that Israeli [89:35] spirit on that fly Dubai flight. What is [89:39] that Israeli spirit? What is that unique [89:42] DNA? It is resourcefulness. [89:44] It is taking care of each other. [89:50] It is. [89:52] It is the values that bring us together. [89:55] Where is all of that? Our government [89:58] currently does not represent the Israeli [90:01] spirit. We have to change that. Now, I [90:04] want to talk about Gaddy Eisenhot and [90:06] the Ashar party. Gaddy Eisenkot himself [90:10] is a unifying figure. When he goes up [90:13] north to Kiracha where the government [90:15] failed, when he goes to the south to [90:18] Stat where the government failed, he is [90:21] accepted with very warm arms and people [90:26] see the hope in him. He is a pragmatic [90:29] leader that not only looks at the [90:31] strategy and is able to analyze it and [90:34] brings tremendous security experience [90:37] with him but also sees every Israeli no [90:41] matter where they come from and no [90:43] matter what their no problem what the [90:46] political orientation is he sees every [90:49] Israeli with compassion and mainly he is [90:54] a mench and that is why I decided to [90:56] join him but beyond at the Ashar party. [90:59] When you look at the party list members, [91:01] they are a reflection of the Israeli [91:05] mainstream society. We have Orthodox, we [91:09] have religious, we have secular, we have [91:13] 50% women and men, we have 25% young [91:17] people over under the age of 35. We have [91:21] people from the periphery, from the [91:23] center, from the north, from the south. [91:25] We have people that represent the [91:28] Russian uh uh immigration and the [91:30] Ethiopian immigration. We have an [91:33] amazing [91:34] representation of the Israeli society. [91:38] And this is what we're all about. Israel [91:41] is in desperate need for change. [91:44] We are ready to turn the page. We are [91:47] ready to repair repair the country with [91:49] the leadership of Gaid Eisenot and we're [91:52] going to make it happen. Thank you so [91:54] much. [91:55] >> All right. Number one, Flur Hassan of [92:01] Israel. [92:02] Where is Here we go. [92:05] Central to your party identity is that [92:08] none of you on the slate have ever [92:10] served in the Knesset and therefore none [92:11] of you were party to the failures of [92:13] past governments and October 7th. A [92:16] central tenant in many areas of life, [92:19] for example, in the corporate world, is [92:21] that those who have experience and have [92:23] made mistakes are in the best position [92:25] to learn from those mistakes and add [92:27] value with better solutions. The [92:30] combination of operational experience [92:32] and learning from mistakes is actually [92:34] highly valued. Is your party not simply [92:38] the embodiment of the adage, the only [92:40] person who's never made a mistake is one [92:42] who's never done anything? [92:45] That's a fantastic question and I'm so [92:48] glad you asked. Thank you because we [92:53] have a party of people who've done many [92:56] many things. You could talk about Offer [92:58] Winter's 35 year army career where he [93:02] served in almost all of the elite units [93:04] in the army. Not only did he serve in [93:07] all of the elite units in the army, he [93:09] of course advanced to brigadier general. [93:11] that of anybody talking tonight is the [93:13] only people who's actually recruited to [93:16] the army. He set up the Gas. He set up [93:19] the Givati brigade of Kuredim and he set [93:23] up the Sanhanim brigade of Kuredim. So [93:26] this is a man with 35 is experienced who [93:28] knows the system inside and out and also [93:33] understands the weaknesses of the [93:35] system, the weaknesses of the army. uh [93:38] the concepts that everybody was stuck in [93:41] for so long and arguably people are [93:43] still stuck in when you hear that Gadia [93:45] Eisenhod wants to give uh permits to [93:47] 150,000 Palestinian workers to come back [93:50] into Israel. So the conceptia is still [93:52] very deep in the people who served in [93:54] the military but not with offer winter. [93:56] We have Yseph Hadad who has worked [93:59] tirelessly tirelessly [94:02] putting his life on the line, going to [94:04] campuses, fighting the Israel haters, [94:07] standing for Israel. He is the walking [94:09] embodiment of the fact and the argument [94:12] that we're not in aparttheid state. And [94:13] he fights every single day. And please [94:15] God, he will be our minister for public [94:18] diplomacy. We've got Nataly Shtov who [94:21] was a news anchor who felt the left-wing [94:25] grip of the mainstream media in this [94:27] country, fought against it and [94:28] eventually left. We have a person Iran [94:31] Benari, a lawyer who was the head of the [94:34] opposition of the bar association who [94:37] fought the um the uh bar association in [94:41] in all its left-wing um policies that [94:44] they had and all their concepts. Yeah. [94:47] And then you've got me. I think I have a [94:50] little experience. I was in city hall [94:52] for eight years in the most complicated [94:54] city on earth. Um I always say that [94:57] Jerusalem is actually [95:00] >> Jerusalem is the demographic future of [95:03] the state of Israel. We closed gaps. We [95:06] made built bridges. We solved problems. [95:09] And so I think that my eight years in [95:11] the city of Jerusalem counts for [95:12] something. Thank you. [95:13] >> Thank you. [applause] [95:15] Thank you. And once again, you get the [95:17] points for finishing right on time. [95:19] Thank you very much. All right. Who got [95:20] number two? Anat. [95:24] Ah yes. [95:28] The positions of Yoaz Hendel as well as [95:30] your O faction within the party are [95:33] clearly incompatible with the direction [95:35] of the opposition/c center-left block on [95:39] the vision for Gaza, on sitting in a [95:41] coalition with anti-ionist Arab parties [95:44] and other issues. But you're equally [95:46] incompatible with a coalition that [95:48] includes the Kedim and other elements of [95:50] the right-wing block. Is a vote for you [95:53] a vote for a party that won't sit in any [95:55] coalition? How can you assure voters [95:57] that they are voting for a party that [95:59] can actually influence policy and [96:02] govern? [96:04] >> That's an easy one. Uh not fair. Uh [96:09] voting for us is voting for the only [96:12] party that looks at everyone here around [96:15] the table and the people who were in the [96:17] previous panel and sees them as [96:20] political rivals, not enemies. We [96:24] believe in a strong centrist Zionist [96:28] government that will actually be able to [96:32] recruit everyone, ensure that everyone [96:35] serves. You cannot be, as you correctly [96:38] noticed, in a block with parties that [96:41] say [96:44] and somehow think you can promote the [96:46] idea of service for all. We are the only [96:50] ones that are not falling for this [96:54] terrible block ideas that has forced all [96:57] the parties here and the ones before to [97:00] actually go with people with whom they [97:03] share very very little. and in fact sell [97:06] their ideals. And that's the one thing [97:09] that we promise will not happen because [97:11] we're the only party that sits between [97:15] the blocks that is here to remind people [97:18] that we can create a broad Zionist [97:21] government that will be with people that [97:24] ensure that everyone serves, that we [97:27] fight the cost of living, and that we [97:30] actually wage wisely the war of [97:33] narratives. We wage it. We do it in a [97:36] way that also comes to the policy table. [97:39] We understand that this is the war that [97:42] has been the most important war. Many [97:45] people mentioned here the physical war, [97:48] but 70% of the war was taking place here [97:52] in people's minds on screens using [97:56] words. We have leaders both left and [97:59] right that do not value the weight of [98:02] words. So we are actually the only vote [98:06] you can cast that will promise that [98:09] there will be a broad Zionist government [98:12] and we are not stuck in these terrible [98:16] bls. [98:18] >> Thank you. [applause] [98:20] Extra points for finishing on time. All [98:23] right. Who got number three? Number [98:25] three. Ohit. [98:28] Let me get your question here. [98:32] Your party is named for a world view, [98:36] religious Zionism. According to that [98:38] world view, service in Sahal is the holy [98:40] of holies, the highest service to am. We [98:44] all see the disproportionate battlefield [98:46] casualty rates in this community. And [98:48] yet your party does not call out those [98:51] who claim that they cannot serve in the [98:53] name of Torah. While everyone [98:55] understands white tatit backs laws that [98:58] that support this position, coalition [99:00] politics, etc. At the same time, many in [99:04] the religious Zionist community are [99:05] frustrated that their voice, their world [99:08] view is not being spoken at the highest [99:11] levels. What do you say to those members [99:14] of the religious Zionist community? Why [99:16] shouldn't they support parties that take [99:18] a more principled stand on this issue? [99:24] You have two minutes. [99:26] >> First of all, I share their frustration. [99:28] I think that the fact that there's a [99:30] whole segment in Israeli society who [99:32] doesn't take active role in defending [99:34] this country and by the way also in the [99:37] econom in the economy of this country is [99:40] a disgrace. It's morally disgrace. It's [99:44] a disgrace and it's not sustainable. the [99:47] state of Israel cannot exist with a [99:49] whole segment of Israeli society not [99:52] taking an active role. So that's not a [99:57] dispute. And by the way, we don't have [99:58] to be convinced that it's a problem that
[100:00] this the current reality is broken
[100:02] because
[100:04] one of the ministers in my party
[100:07] 12 of her children and son-in-laws are
[100:11] serving in the past three years in
[100:12] endless cycles of reserve. Bet Smrich,
[100:16] two of his children are serving now in
[100:19] the army. One of them was injured and he
[100:21] even lost his uh uh uh nephew in this
[100:24] war. So we personally paying the price
[100:28] of this broken I myself served as a tank
[100:31] commander in fought in Jabalaya in Gaza.
[100:34] We understand
[100:36] perfectly well.
[100:38] The question is not if the current
[100:39] reality is broken. The real question is
[100:41] how do you actually fix the reality? And
[100:46] unfortunately unfortunately I'm saying
