I'm [00:22] prepared for my [00:25] wet rag uh for it, but [00:28] it looks like I'm not going to need it. [00:31] So, Pastor Chad said that this is very [00:33] valuable stuff. [00:35] It's biblical and uh if someone wants to [00:39] grab a hold of it and get some [00:41] anointing, you're welcome to do that [00:43] afterwards. [00:45] But today, uh we are looking at [00:47] finishing our Dr. Luke [00:50] series [00:52] healing and res- restoration, and this [00:54] will be a message of healing and [00:56] restoration. [00:58] Definitely. [01:00] I've called it Peter who needed the [01:03] three times. [01:05] And I have to dive a little bit outside [01:08] Luke to get the full story here. [01:11] Pastor Chad immediately noticed that [01:14] the title doesn't really [01:16] support the [01:18] uh Luke [01:20] Gospel of Luke only, [01:22] but you [01:23] well, [01:25] I took the liberty to bringing a few [01:27] verses from somewhere else, [01:29] but I think he did the same, so he's my [01:33] great rabbi here in this regard [01:36] and some other regards, too. [01:40] Anyway, this is the last of this of the [01:42] series, and we are in Luke 22 to 24. [01:46] And uh [01:48] there we find the climax of Yeshua's [01:51] mission. [01:52] This is what he prepared his whole life [01:54] for, and this is what the whole series [01:56] have been pointing into. [02:00] His mission dying for the sins of the [02:02] world. Behold the lamb of God who takes [02:04] away the sins of the world [02:07] in display. [02:09] So much content here. God wants to save [02:13] us. [02:15] He deeply cares for us. [02:17] Yeshua's commission [02:19] was Yeshua, like his name say, [02:23] for he will save us. [02:25] He is Yahweh Rapha [02:28] who heals men's and restores to the [02:31] fullness. [02:32] So much we could talk about today. [02:37] And as we are closing the series, I was [02:40] praying like, "Lord, [02:42] uh what is it one that you want me to [02:44] focus on?" [02:46] And as we've been looking at different [02:48] people that [02:50] are master touched in in [02:53] the series of Luke, [02:56] in front of me was [02:58] Barabbas the killer [03:00] whom Yeshua kind of saved as well. So, [03:03] he was released instead of Yeshua. [03:06] Yeshua really became his substitute in a [03:09] way. [03:11] Then there was the second robber on the [03:12] cross who got saved in his last hours. [03:17] And really you know, I've been pondering [03:20] a lot of Judas Iscariot's life as well, [03:23] how [03:24] how he was possessed and he was a thief [03:27] and betrayer [03:30] to whom money was his master. [03:34] And that led him to kill himself. [03:37] And then there's Simon Peter [03:40] who is the denier, known as the Peter [03:42] the denier. [03:45] And many times he opposed God's plans [03:50] very verbally. And we read a few of [03:53] them. [03:54] But [03:56] there's a lot of activity that goes [03:58] around with Peter. [04:01] All of these were worthy of a sermon. [04:04] So we look at Peter and you know, it [04:06] amazes me how many names Peter had. [04:11] He was called Simon, Simeon, [04:14] Cephas [04:15] or Kepha, [04:17] Peter, Simon Peter, and Simon bar [04:21] Barjona. [04:23] That was his Aramaic name [04:26] or son of John in English. [04:30] As beloved child, he had so many names. [04:35] And I think the saying comes from him. [04:37] I don't know. [04:39] Could it be [04:41] that beloved child has many names comes [04:43] from Peter? [04:45] Is there a previous [04:47] person who had so many names? I don't [04:49] know. [04:51] But it fits. So today we are going to [04:54] learn that [04:55] God can take a very simple, even sinful [04:59] man, [05:01] allow them to make great mistakes, [05:05] but keep loving and walking along [05:07] alongside and turn their their lives [05:09] around and make them someone [05:12] whom others can look up to. [05:20] We are all noticed by God. [05:24] He's got his eyes on all of us. [05:28] And the Lord has called us everyone to [05:31] ministry like he called Peter to [05:34] ministry. [05:36] And if you feel anything different, I [05:38] tell you that God is not done with you. [05:41] He's on the way [05:43] to establish you to ministry. [05:51] We should not let ever our shortcomings [05:54] define who we are in the Messiah. [05:58] Because he's at work in us making us [06:00] people [06:02] that eventually he rejoices about [06:06] and he's proud of. [06:09] You may wonder how is that possible, but [06:11] I'll come to that later. [06:14] In our text today, we start where Yeshua [06:18] finds Peter [06:20] on the shores of Galilee. [06:22] It says that one day Yeshua was walking [06:25] by the Sea of Galilee [06:27] and Andrew, his brother, [06:31] and uh asked Andrew and his brother, [06:36] Peter, to follow him. [06:39] So, immediately they dropped their nets [06:42] and followed him. [06:45] How is that possible that [06:48] that you can call someone from their [06:50] nets and they start following you [06:52] immediately? [06:55] It's because they knew who Yeshua was. [06:58] They have already met Yeshua. [07:01] Actually, Andrew [07:02] was one of the disciples of John the [07:04] Baptist already. [07:08] What was he doing [07:10] uh by the Kinneret? I don't know. The [07:13] story doesn't tell. Maybe he he was [07:15] there for his brother, Peter. [07:18] But [07:20] originally, [07:24] Yeshua meets Peter [07:26] in John chapter 1. [07:30] And it says, "Andrew, the brother of [07:32] Simon Peter, was the one of the two who [07:35] heard John speak [07:37] and followed Yeshua." [07:41] First, he finds his brother and tells [07:44] him, [07:45] "We have found the Messiah, [07:47] which is translated the anointed one." [07:50] Andrew brought [07:52] Simon [07:54] Peter to Yeshua. [07:57] Yeshua looked at him and said, [08:00] "You're Simon, [08:02] the son of John. [08:04] You shall be called Cephas, [08:07] which is translated Peter." [08:11] Well, the name is Peter in English. [08:13] Andrew and Simon Peter [08:15] were both from Bethsaida. How many of [08:17] you have been to Bethsaida? [08:21] I was there just this weekend and boy [08:23] was hot. [08:25] I didn't actually go to Bethsaida [08:27] because a lot of these sites are closed [08:30] during the summer or open for [08:34] for certain period of hours only. [08:37] But [08:38] here at the source of Galilee and Sea, [08:40] the Kinneret, [08:42] Yeshua calls Peter to follow him the [08:44] second time. [08:47] So, Yeshua has now come all the way to [08:49] Galilee to find the brothers. [08:53] And he sees them fishing [08:55] and Yeshua shouts, "Hey Cephas!" [08:58] I think he called him Cephas originally. [09:01] Sounds like a nice [09:03] Jewish name. [09:05] "Hey Andrew, come and follow me. Hey [09:08] Cephas, [09:10] come follow. What do you say?" [09:13] They already know exactly what it meant, [09:16] what discipleship means. [09:20] And they were like, "Wait, [09:22] like right now? [09:24] Should I What [09:26] What should I do with my nets?" [09:31] Or [09:34] maybe they thought that [09:37] maybe this man is a chance for something [09:39] else [09:41] than just fishing here [09:44] smelling bad to our family [09:48] hard physical work [09:50] walking is better [09:52] a lot of walking with Yeshua, you know [09:55] Those of you that are walkers, you know, [09:57] you really [09:59] follow [10:01] the traits of Yeshua. [10:04] So anyway, they think, okay, I guess [10:07] why not? Let's do it. [10:10] Let's follow Yeshua. [10:14] It may have sounded a little bit easy [10:16] for the start and uh [10:20] he didn't want to tell them oh, by the [10:22] way, you're going to die [10:26] if you do that. [10:28] But he knew [10:30] and you have to give yourself completely [10:33] away. [10:35] They had some [10:37] hinge on what it could mean. [10:42] But Yeshua just invites [10:45] them to follow. [10:47] >> [cough] [10:48] >> He also invites you and I to be [10:50] reconciled [10:52] to be his friend, his follower. [10:55] In other words, uh to walk after him. [10:59] To walk wherever he goes first. [11:03] Think about that. [11:05] If you are a follower, you follow. [11:09] Yeshua doesn't follow you. [11:11] You follow Yeshua. [11:17] These brothers, however [11:19] had some idea of what [11:22] it might cost to follow Yeshua. [11:27] And in our lives we are prepared all all [11:30] time for greater things. [11:34] It may not be easy always, but [11:37] he's all already gone before us [11:41] to prepare the way for us. [11:45] And we follow him. [11:51] And he's with us every step of the way. [11:54] Book of Acts refers [11:58] of us actually followers of the way. [12:04] The way we walk. [12:07] So, Yeshua noticed this fisherman Peter [12:10] who had no experience in ministry, [12:13] unlike his brother Andrew. [12:15] He was a smelly person, had a temper [12:17] issue, and other issues. [12:20] And he was also an Israeli. [12:24] For Israelis, it's a bit hard harder [12:27] than for the others to [12:29] to follow, I think, a person. [12:33] But yet, this Peter [12:37] became Yeshua's best friend. [12:39] Absolutely best friend. [12:42] There was a little bit of competition, [12:44] but the scripture [12:46] I think states clearly that [12:48] Peter was Yeshua's best friend. [12:51] I know you may want to be that, but [12:55] the position is taken, it seems like. [12:58] >> [snorts] [13:00] >> Tell you later why I say that. [13:03] And Yeshua shared a very deep and [13:05] personal relationship with Kepha, [13:09] Simon Peter. [13:14] Peter was a kind of an Israeli who [13:17] always [13:19] had an answer ready. [13:21] You know how Israelis, they [13:24] they always have an answer, whether it's [13:28] true or right thing to say, they will [13:31] always answer you. [13:33] And um [13:35] so did Peter. [13:37] He had an answer ready. We read in Mark [13:40] 10 [13:41] when he was rebuking the children that [13:43] tried to come to Yeshua. [13:46] Also, Peter rebuked Yeshua when he said [13:50] Yeshua when Yeshua said that he would [13:52] die and be crucified. Peter said this [13:55] must never happen. [13:57] Yeshua replied, "Get behind me, Satan. [14:01] You're a hindrance to me. [14:03] For you are not setting your mind on [14:05] things of God, [14:07] but of man." [14:11] Peter was also the one who slashed off [14:14] the ear [14:15] of the [14:17] high priest's servant [14:21] at the Garden of Gethsemane to [14:23] protect [14:24] his master. [14:27] There's temper. [14:30] We remember how in John 13:6, Peter [14:33] refused to have Yeshua wash his feet. [14:38] And Yeshua had to rebuke him saying that [14:41] if you don't let me wash your feet, you [14:43] will have no place with me. [14:48] After that, Peter took a milder tone and [14:50] asked for his whole body to be washed. [14:56] Same price, you know, same service. [15:00] service. [15:02] However, Yeshua's love for him was [15:04] deeper [15:05] than these wrong comments, [15:08] silly, stupid comments sometimes. [15:11] In Luke 22, we read in the verse of [15:15] 31, [15:18] "Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift [15:21] all of you as a wheat. [15:24] But I have prayed for you, Simon, [15:27] that your faith may not fail. [15:31] And when you have turned back, [15:32] strengthen your brothers." [15:36] But he replied, [15:38] "Lord, I'm ready to go with you to [15:40] prison and to death." [15:44] Jesus answered, "I tell you, [15:46] Peter, before the rooster crows today, [15:50] you will deny me three times. [15:54] You will deny that you know me." [16:01] This Peter [16:04] was given this prophecy to Peter [16:07] that Yeshua promised to [16:09] this promise that upon this rock I will [16:12] build my church. [16:15] In Matthew 16:18. [16:20] Did you know that Peter is mentioned [16:23] in the Gospels and in Acts [16:26] about 195 times. [16:29] More than any other follower of Yeshua [16:34] or disciple. [16:36] And guess what? All the other disciples [16:39] combined [16:41] are mentioned in the Gospels and Acts [16:44] only 130 times. [16:51] So many good things in in ministry [16:53] happened to Peter as well. Peter wanted [16:56] to make sure [16:59] they the disciples understood Yeshua. [17:03] And he always asked him to elaborate the [17:05] parables. [17:07] He wanted to know more. Peter was the [17:10] only one to walk on water [17:12] besides Yeshua. [17:14] towards Yeshua. [17:17] Think about that, being able to walk on [17:19] water. [17:23] He was also the first one to identify [17:26] Yeshua as the Messiah. [17:30] You are the son of the living God. [17:32] And this pleased the Lord. [17:36] On our text today in Luke 22, [17:39] Peter follows Yeshua to the courtyard [17:42] of the high priest. And another [17:44] disciple, not Peter himself, who had a [17:47] personal connection to the high priest, [17:49] was there as well. [17:51] There at the courtyard, [17:54] we read Peter's greatest shortcoming [17:57] when he disowns Yeshua. [18:03] Verse 54 says, "Then they seized Yeshua [18:06] and led him away and brought him into [18:09] the house [18:10] of the Kohen Gadol, [18:13] the high priest. But Peter was following [18:15] from the distance." [18:18] Now, [18:19] they had a little fire They had lit a [18:22] fire in the center of the courtyard and [18:24] sat down together, and Peter was sitting [18:26] among them. [18:28] Then a servant girl [18:30] saw him sitting [18:32] at the fire. She looked straight at him [18:34] and said, [18:36] "This one was with him, too." [18:39] But he denied it saying, "Woman, I don't [18:41] know him." [18:42] A little later, another one saw him and [18:45] said, [18:46] "You, too, are one of them." [18:49] One of those that follow the way. But [18:51] Peter said, "Man, man, I'm not." [18:55] And about an hour later, another one [18:57] began to insist saying, "Certainly, this [19:00] fellow was with him, [19:04] for he, too, is a Galilean." [19:07] But Peter said, "Man, [19:09] I don't know what you're talking about." [19:11] And immediately, while he was still [19:13] speaking a rooster crowed. [19:17] And the Lord from a distance turned and [19:19] looked straight at Peter. [19:25] Peter remembered the word of the Lord [19:28] how he had told him [19:30] before the rooster crows today you will [19:32] deny me three times. [19:36] And Peter went away and wept bitterly. [19:42] After this denial Peter goes to hiding. [19:49] He's so much ashamed of himself. [19:53] How could I do that? [19:58] How could I betray my master? [20:01] Peter is not there to see the [20:04] crucifixion. [20:06] Not to comfort anyone there. [20:10] He had no words of comfort at this [20:13] point. [20:15] He had to do some really deep thinking. [20:21] But the prayers [20:24] of the master [20:27] I have prayed for you [20:30] that your faith may not fail. [20:34] That prayer [20:36] carried Peter through. [20:39] And he gets the courage to reconnect [20:42] with disciples. [20:48] And through this connection Peter Peter [20:52] gets soon [20:54] typical Israeli very excited [20:57] when he hears that the master has risen. [21:02] We read in Luke 24. [21:04] It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the [21:08] mother of James, [21:10] and the others with them who told this [21:12] to the apostles. [21:15] But they did not believe the women [21:16] because their words seemed to them like [21:19] nonsense. [21:22] Peter, however, got up and ran to the [21:25] tomb. [21:26] Bending over, he saw the strips of linen [21:28] lying themselves, and he went away [21:32] wondering to himself what might have [21:35] happened. [21:40] Yeshua doesn't immediately [21:42] appear to Peter. [21:47] He gives Peter a little more time. [21:52] Peter is the second disciple at the [21:54] tomb. [21:56] John [21:58] and the other two had proudly run [22:00] faster. He He's very [22:03] buffed about it in other verses. Peter [22:05] sees the empty tomb [22:07] and the linen, [22:10] but does not find Yeshua. [22:12] He has risen, but he's not there. [22:17] Peter returns to Galilee, [22:21] to Bethsaida, I believe, [22:24] Kinneret, [22:26] to the old job [22:28] that he knew [22:30] to do well. [22:33] There he's he's joining with Thomas, [22:36] Nathanael from Cana, and the sons of [22:38] Zebedee, and two other disciples at the [22:41] Sea of Galilee. [22:44] The whole gang [22:46] needs a little bit distance from the [22:48] hecticness [22:50] of what just had happened [22:52] in Jerusalem. [22:56] Peter says, "I'm going to go and fish." [23:01] And the others said, "We'll join you. [23:03] That that seems like a good idea. [23:09] But what were they thinking? I don't [23:11] know. [23:12] They knew Yeshua had risen [23:14] and even had appeared to people. [23:18] Maybe to clear the mind. [23:21] Maybe they went back to the backup plan, [23:23] you know, that they always had. I can [23:25] always go back and fishing. [23:33] Maybe you have a backup plan when you [23:35] are in ministry. [23:39] But the Lord doesn't want you to look [23:40] back [23:42] or even to have a backup plan. [23:46] But ironically that night [23:49] they got no fish. [23:52] I think it's like God sent the all the [23:55] fish somewhere else, I think. [24:00] Just to make them think, you know. [24:06] Maybe they thought well, [24:08] seems like [24:10] we suck on this as well. [24:12] Maybe Peter thought so. [24:15] Maybe the thing I thought I'm good at, [24:17] I'm not so good at after all. [24:22] But in John 21, [24:24] we can't find this in in Luke, but in [24:27] John 21 we read that Yeshua came all the [24:30] way [24:31] to Kinneret to find Peter. [24:34] And I think especially Peter. [24:39] It says in John 21:4, "Early in the [24:41] morning, Yeshua stood on the shore, but [24:45] the disciples did not realize that was [24:47] Yeshua." He called out to them, [24:49] "Friends, [24:51] haven't you got any fish?" [24:53] Huh? [24:54] "No," they answered. [24:56] He said, "Throw your net to the right [24:59] side It's on this side, sorry. of the [25:02] boat and you will find some." [25:05] When they did, they were unable to haul [25:07] the net in [25:09] because of the large number of fish. [25:12] Then the disciple [25:14] whom Yeshua loved said to Peter, [25:17] "It is the Lord." [25:19] As soon as Simon Peter heard him say, [25:21] "It is the Lord." he wrapped his outer [25:24] garment around him [25:26] for he had taken it off and jumped into [25:28] the water. [25:30] The other disciples followed in in the [25:33] boat [25:34] towing the net full of fish [25:36] for they were not far from the shore, [25:39] about 100 yards. [25:40] It's about 100 meters, I think. [25:44] When they landed, they saw a fire [25:46] burning coals [25:48] there with fish on it [25:51] and some bread. [25:54] Yeshua said to them, [25:56] "Bring some of the fish you have just [25:58] caught." [26:00] So Simon Peter climbed back into the [26:02] boat and dragged the net ashore. It was [26:05] full of large fish, 153, [26:07] but even with so many, the nets was not [26:11] the net was not torn. [26:14] A new record. [26:17] Yeshua said to them, [26:19] "Come and have breakfast." [26:23] None of the disciples dared to ask him, [26:27] "Who are you?" [26:29] They knew it was the Lord. [26:32] Yeshua came back, took the bread and [26:34] gave it to them and he did the same way [26:36] with the fish. [26:38] This was now the third time Yeshua [26:40] appeared to his disciples after he was [26:43] raised from the dead. [26:46] Here Yeshua reinstates Peter. [26:49] When they had finished eating, Yeshua [26:51] said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of [26:53] John, [26:54] do you love me more than these?" [26:59] "More than these?" [27:00] "Yes, Lord," he said. [27:02] "You know that I love you." [27:05] Yeshua said, "Feed my lambs." [27:08] Again, Yeshua said, "Simon, son of John, [27:11] do you love me?" He answered, "Yes, [27:14] Lord, you know that I love you." Yeshua [27:16] said, "Take care of my sheep." [27:21] Third time, [27:25] he said to him, "Simon, son of John, do [27:28] you love me?" [27:31] Then Peter was hurt [27:34] because Yeshua asked him third time, "Do [27:37] you love me?" He said, "Lord, you know [27:40] all things. [27:41] You know that I love you." [27:44] Yeshua said, "Feed [27:46] my sheep. [27:53] Feed my sheep. [27:55] Take care of my sheep. [27:57] Feed my sheep." [28:01] "Very truly, I tell you, when you were [28:04] younger, you dressed yourself and went [28:07] where you wanted. But when you are old, [28:09] you will [28:10] stretch out your hands and someone else [28:14] will dress you [28:15] and lead you where [28:17] you do not want to go." [28:20] Yeshua said these to indicate the kind [28:22] of death in which Peter would glorify [28:24] God. [28:26] Then he said to Peter, [28:29] "Follow me." [28:32] For the third time, Yeshua [28:37] asked Peter to follow him. [28:42] Yeshua, it's interesting, he didn't come [28:45] to Peter with an accusation. [28:49] Rather, with great love. [28:51] With a message of love. [28:54] He comes to Peter as Peter's [28:57] dear friend. [29:00] Here, he puts Peter back on track [29:03] in his life. [29:06] Three times Peter denied Yeshua. [29:09] Three times Peter affirms his love for [29:12] him his master. [29:15] Three times Yeshua asked Peter to follow [29:17] him. [29:21] After this encounter, [29:24] Peter's walk on the way [29:26] becomes more solid. [29:31] Not perfect, but more solid. [29:38] Peter's weaknesses [29:40] and experiences had made him stronger. [29:45] Yeshua's prayers [29:47] made him solid. [29:52] In Romans 8:34, [29:54] it says that [29:55] Yeshua is actually interceding for you [29:59] and I [30:00] all the time. [30:05] Those are some strong words. He's [30:09] at the right hand of the Father [30:12] and he's interceding for you. [30:16] He's interceding that your faith would [30:19] not fail. [30:23] That though you would fall at times, [30:26] you would rise up like Peter rose up. [30:34] Peter had been forgiven and Yeshua came [30:36] to confirm that [30:38] he still had a has place in God's plans, [30:40] that the shortcomings did not define [30:43] Peter [30:45] as who he is. [30:47] But that God's call and plan [30:50] define Peter [30:53] and who he is. [30:57] Peter was the kind of a person that [30:58] needed three shots three times. [31:06] And uh [31:10] Like we read in Acts [31:16] he kept on needing the three times [31:18] actually. [31:19] Acts 10 says that [31:22] God had to repeat the vision of the [31:25] platter coming down from heaven [31:28] three times before Peter would accept [31:31] that. [31:35] Think about that. [31:38] He was so [31:40] stuck with the dietary laws [31:43] of the Jews [31:46] that kept him from accepting God's heart [31:48] for the Gentiles. [31:55] He needed three times [31:58] shaking to get that mindset out of him. [32:07] You know, there's a saying that [32:10] on third time the truth is found. It [32:12] It's not from Bible or [32:14] third's [32:15] third time's a charm. [32:19] You know what they say in Israel? [32:24] Again, again, again video. [32:27] Bam shlishit lida. [32:31] Why? I have no idea. [32:34] Something good will happen on the third [32:36] time. [32:39] You may fail two times, but third time [32:42] is coming. [32:43] And your third time may be coming soon [32:47] when it will be glorious. [32:51] I feel like I need three chances in many [32:54] times. [32:56] And if we don't have that grace that [33:00] we can fall and stand up again. [33:06] You know, we are perfect all the time. [33:08] And we are not perfect. We are [33:09] imperfect. [33:11] >> [snorts] [33:13] >> The Lord called out Samuel three times [33:15] before Samuel realized it was the Lord [33:18] speaking. [33:21] So, Peter became the leader of the early [33:23] believers in Yeshua. [33:25] And he boldly defended the way before [33:29] masses. [33:32] And for all of this, he paid with his [33:34] life [33:35] for him. [33:37] But we can see that he became another [33:39] person. [33:40] The failures didn't define him. [33:43] Such a great change [33:46] in a person we see. [33:50] Historians say that Peter also had a [33:52] wife [33:54] who died for the gospel as a martyr. [34:01] Many times we let our failures and other [34:03] people define who we are. [34:08] And they cast to this low [34:11] moment where we think [34:15] we are nobodies. [34:18] We are not noticed by anybody. [34:21] We are good for nothing. [34:24] People say we're stupid [34:27] or we are this or that. [34:30] But God is at lookout [34:33] for you. [34:37] For the lost sheep. [34:39] For anyone that has a broken spirit [34:43] and contrite heart. [34:45] Like people have be be their head. [34:50] God has such a patience for Peter Peter. [34:55] And he offers the same patience for you [34:58] and I. [35:00] And we totally depend on his patience. [35:04] If God wouldn't have patience in us, [35:08] we wouldn't be here today. [35:11] Musicians, you are welcome to come. [35:15] How does God see you [35:18] today [35:20] when he's looking at you? [35:23] He sees you as his beloved. [35:26] As his own child who is very dear to [35:29] him. [35:31] You belong. [35:34] Believers have been given the legal and [35:36] spiritual right to belong to God's [35:39] family. [35:41] You're part of the family. [35:45] You know, when you're part of the [35:46] family, you're there in for life. [35:51] Your shortcomings won't change your [35:53] position. [35:56] You are not rejected or despised by him. [36:01] John 1:12 says, "But whoever did receive [36:04] him, those trusting in his name, to [36:07] these he gave the right to become [36:09] children of God." [36:11] You're adopted in. You're crafted in. [36:16] You are all paid for. [36:18] You belong. [36:23] If you feel many times you are alone, [36:27] you belong. [36:29] You belong to this family. [36:36] You know, this is more real, the people [36:38] here today. It's a more real family [36:42] than your own family. [36:46] This is eternal family you're looking [36:48] at. [36:50] Each person is one by one adopted into [36:54] this family of God. [36:56] And we are the true family that will [36:58] stick together forever. [37:02] We just bring in our natural family [37:05] members sometimes as well, [37:07] according to the promise of God that [37:10] you're [37:11] you and your family will be saved. [37:14] Grafted into this same family. [37:24] And however [37:26] bad you may feel [37:28] about yourself, [37:30] God, however, sees you through the blood [37:33] of his beloved son. [37:36] Think about that. [37:38] He's looking at you [37:41] through the bloody garments, or how [37:43] would I put it better, of his son [37:47] that are always there [37:49] as a filter [37:51] in between us and God. [37:55] He sees you as cleansed by the blood. [37:57] You are forgiven. [38:00] He has to see you [38:02] clean [38:04] because of what Yeshua did on the cross. [38:07] He paid full payment for your cleansing. [38:10] You are clean. [38:14] He has to look at you through the lens [38:16] of the blood of his son. [38:18] He decided to do it. [38:22] And he has to It is his plan. [38:26] He gave his beloved son, and that [38:28] enormous price he paid [38:31] covers you completely. [38:36] God cannot [38:38] look down on the price Yeshua paid. [38:41] There's no way he can look down or not [38:46] consider that. [38:48] He has to always consider [38:54] It would be like his salvation plan and [38:56] his covenant has failed. [39:00] He has to see you cleansed by his blood. [39:05] Also, you cannot look down [39:08] at the Lamb of God and think [39:11] his sacrifice is not enough for me. [39:16] Yeshua shouted with the light loud [39:18] voice, "It is finished. All paid. Your [39:20] sins are atoned for. [39:24] The way to God's presence is open. [39:26] Hallelujah. [39:28] Praise God." [39:34] One verse in Bible really touched me [39:37] that talks about how [39:41] God sees us. [39:45] And it's from Jude 1:24. [39:48] From Yeshua's half brother [39:51] who also came to faith only after the [39:53] resurrection of Yeshua. [39:56] And this is what it says about you and [39:58] I. [39:59] To him who is able to keep me from [40:01] stumbling [40:03] and present me before his glorious [40:05] presence [40:07] without fault and with great joy. [40:10] To the only God our savior be the glory, [40:12] majesty, power, and authority through [40:15] Yeshua Messiah our Lord before all ages, [40:18] now and forevermore. Amen. [40:24] Without fall [40:27] and with great joy. [40:29] Think about that. [40:34] They rejoice over you. [40:38] For they see you through the blood of [40:39] Yeshua. [40:44] When you are washed by his blood, [40:46] Yeshua presents you before the Father [40:48] spotless and clean. [40:50] Clean, clean. [40:52] And they rejoice over you. [41:01] Romans 5 says in 6 [41:03] verse 6, [music] "For while we were [41:05] still helpless, at the right time [41:06] Messiah died for the ungodly." [41:10] Yeshua saw [41:12] that you needed him. [41:14] We so badly needed him. [41:20] And he extended [41:23] to you his own righteousness. [41:28] He clothed you in white linen [41:31] and called you his loved son and [41:33] daughter. [41:34] For such is the love of God for us. [41:40] As we are moving now to [41:42] partake of the communion that Yeshua [41:45] instituted, [41:46] for us to remember him and his blood, [41:52] it is only right that we [41:57] meditate on our walk [42:02] and think about the things that [42:08] may be the things that [42:10] the enemy is accusing you of. [42:18] And maybe bring them to the Lord. [42:21] And ask him. [42:26] To make you [music] stronger. [42:29] Cuz he's praying for you. [42:32] That your prayer. [42:35] Would meet his prayer, Yeshua's prayer. [42:39] And that that [music] you be reinstated. [42:44] To walk the path he has for you. [42:50] I ask the ushers to pass the elements [42:52] around.
