Know Who You Are Before the Battle

Preparation for crisis cannot wait until the crisis arrives; it must be an ongoing process. Understanding who you are is the foundation of effective preparation for both leaders and lay people facing difficult situations.

Nehemiah's people overcame shame and enemy attacks by understanding their identity as servants of the Lord. When facing crisis, recognizing who you are in light of God becomes the source of strength and confidence to accomplish the vision.

Beyond knowing who you are, understanding who has called you provides the backing needed to move forward with confidence. When you are certain God has called you to something, that divine authorization sustains you even in the midst of battle.
