[00:37] Hello and welcome to Jerusalem Dateline. [00:39] I'm Paul Petraitis. [00:40] >> And I'm Joshua Swanson. [00:41] >> The memorandum of understanding between [00:43] the US and Iran expired without an [00:45] agreement or extension on Monday, [00:48] leaving many in the Middle East [00:49] wondering what comes next. [00:51] >> And here in Israel, US envoy Jared [00:54] Kushner met with Prime Minister Benjamin [00:56] Netanyahu to discuss the future of Gaza, [00:58] claiming a lot of progress was made. [01:00] Here's the latest on these and other [01:02] stories. [01:05] >> Jared Kushner is in Israel hoping to [01:07] persuade Prime Minister Netanyahu after [01:10] holding rare talks in Egypt with Hamas's [01:12] chief and regional mediators. Hamas says [01:15] it will disarm under the US-backed board [01:18] of peace plan, but only if Israel [01:20] commits to the agreement. Netanyahu [01:22] insists Israel will not withdraw from [01:24] Gaza until Hamas disarms. The dispute is [01:28] also putting Israel at odds with other [01:30] countries in the region. Foreign [01:31] ministers from eight Muslim countries [01:34] are accusing Netanyahu of obstructing [01:36] the peace process. Meanwhile, another [01:39] diplomatic clock is running out as the [01:41] 60-day ceasefire agreed to in the [01:43] memorandum of understanding between the [01:44] US and Iran expires with no talks [01:47] underway to extend it. The Wall Street [01:50] Journal reports that both Iran and the [01:52] US are using the pause to buy time for [01:55] for attacks. The threat comes as [01:57] rhetoric is increasing from Tehran. The [02:00] Iranian military chief is reportedly [02:02] offering a $30,000 reward for any [02:05] American soldier killed or captured. [02:07] Double that amount if it's carried out [02:09] by an Iranian woman. [02:11] The threat comes as President Trump says [02:13] the US is increasingly in control of the [02:16] Strait of Hormuz. [02:18] >> And after we finish [02:20] defeating Iran, which is being very [02:23] badly defeated, pretty soon I'll be [02:25] declaring the Hormuz Strait a territory [02:28] of the United States. Essentially that's [02:31] what it We have the blockade. [02:33] >> [applause] [02:33] >> No ships get through unless we want them [02:35] to. [02:36] >> Trump added that the oil prices driven [02:38] up by the conflict will eventually come [02:40] down. He's asking Americans to accept [02:42] the higher cost for now in exchange for [02:45] national security. [02:46] >> So, [02:48] for you to pay a tiny little bit more [02:50] for your gasoline, [02:52] just remember you're doing it so that a [02:54] very evil country cannot have a country [02:56] really it's the number one state sponsor [02:59] of terror in the world. We don't want to [03:01] have them have a nuclear weapon. [03:03] >> Retired Army General Jack Keane says [03:05] Trump is being cautious with Iran as the [03:07] midterms approach, but prefers a more [03:10] direct strategy. [03:11] >> I'm not the political guy here, but it [03:13] seemed to me just common sense that [03:15] would sort of help you in the election [03:17] to have Iran on its knees truly. And [03:20] I'm not talking about having economic [03:22] peril on them. I'm talking about taking [03:25] everything away that they value. [03:26] >> In the Arabian Sea, CENTCOM Commander [03:29] Admiral Brad Cooper visited the USS [03:31] Abraham Lincoln now heading home after a [03:34] record-long 9-month deployment. The [03:37] carrier has been at sea more than 260 [03:39] days, raising concerns of mental health [03:42] and morale issues. In a statement, [03:44] Admiral Cooper said, "History will [03:46] record this deployment as one of the [03:48] most operationally intense and [03:50] consequential of the modern era." The [03:52] USS George Washington is now sailing [03:54] from the Western Pacific to take its [03:56] place. And in a first, the Jerusalem [03:59] Post reports Jewish men were allowed to [04:01] pray from a Jewish prayer book at the [04:03] Temple Mount Sunday. The move marks [04:05] another shift to the long-standing [04:07] status quo, which strictly prohibits [04:10] non-Muslim prayer at the holy site. [04:14] >> President Trump said Monday he is not [04:16] seeking an extension of the MOU reached [04:19] in June with Pakistani mediation. [04:22] >> Well, they want to make a deal, but [04:23] they're not going to make the kind of a [04:24] deal that I feel is necessary. Look, [04:27] we're in there for one reason. Iran [04:30] cannot have a nuclear weapon. [04:32] You understand that. Iran cannot have a [04:34] nuclear weapon, and they won't have a [04:36] nuclear weapon. [04:37] >> The 60-day MOU was supposed to halt [04:39] hostilities, reopen the Strait of [04:42] Hormuz, and lift the US blockade. It [04:44] broke down weeks ago when Iran started [04:47] attacking ships in the strait and other [04:49] regional targets. [04:51] Iran is prepared to continue fighting, a [04:53] senior Iranian official told Reuters. [04:56] "Iranian entities must be prepared to [04:58] escalate tensions in the Strait of [05:00] Hormuz and wider region." [05:03] The official said Tehran would take [05:04] difficult decisions and shift from [05:07] defensive to fully offensive. The regime [05:10] has reportedly spent the last 60 days [05:13] ramping up missile and drone production, [05:15] tapping hardliners for key positions, [05:18] and setting a short deadline for [05:19] Washington to implement the MOU's [05:22] provisions. Trump says the strait is [05:24] open and oil is flowing, but that could [05:27] change if the war resumes. He says the [05:29] strait should become a US territory. [05:33] >> We have total control over the strait. [05:34] Now, they can be a nuisance. They can [05:36] put a mine in the water, and people [05:38] don't like having mines hit their [05:39] billion-dollar ships, you know, etc. [05:42] Uh but the blockade has been very [05:43] effective. [05:44] >> Responding to his threat to bomb the [05:46] nation of Oman, the president said, [05:49] >> I don't think he'd behave very well, but [05:51] we'd handle him very easily, just like [05:52] we do others. [05:53] >> Concerning Gaza, Trump's envoy, Jared [05:56] Kushner, met with Hamas leadership in [05:59] Egypt on Sunday and Israeli Prime [06:01] Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday. [06:04] Kushner said Hamas said all the right [06:06] things in their meeting, agreeing to [06:08] disarm. [06:09] A Hamas representative in Iran followed [06:12] up saying armed resistance would [06:14] continue as long as what he called [06:16] occupying forces exist. [06:19] In an interview with Fox News, Kushner [06:22] said Israel has valid concerns that they [06:24] addressed. [06:25] >> We will not allow Gaza to be rebuilt [06:28] until the demilitarization occurs. [06:30] Nobody wants to put more money into a [06:32] place that's gone on for so long until [06:35] if it's just going to be taken over by [06:36] terrorists or blown up again. We're also [06:38] not going to restrict Israel's right to [06:40] defend itself. [06:41] >> Kushner said they've made progress and [06:43] if the plan is implemented, it would be [06:45] a win-win for Israel. [06:47] >> If Hamas actually gives over the weapons [06:49] and the tunnels, you know, willingly [06:50] over the next 60 to 90 days, that [06:52] obviously would be the elimination of a [06:54] huge security threat for Israel, almost [06:55] an unthinkable achievement. And if they [06:58] don't follow through now on their [06:59] commitment, everyone will see that [07:01] they're not genuine about peace and then [07:03] Israel will have a lot more support from [07:05] the US and others to go and finish the [07:06] job in the appropriate way. [07:08] >> Julie Stahl, CBN News, Jerusalem. [07:12] >> So, if you live or visited Israel, you [07:14] certainly understand Netanyahu's [07:16] position here regarding the disarmament, [07:17] but what struck out what struck me is [07:21] hearing the Hamas says that they will [07:23] resist as long as quote occupying forces [07:26] exist. That's kind of a vague term. [07:29] >> [laughter] [07:30] >> Well, it's vague and I Kushner's his [07:32] quotes were just as vague, right? [07:35] Cordial meeting, they said the right [07:37] thing, they're they're we're going to [07:38] give them a chance to perform [07:41] Perform, when has Hamas ever performed? [07:43] When have they ever held up their end of [07:44] the bargain? I guess they returned the [07:46] hostages, but only because they were [07:48] really forced to strong-armed after [07:49] hundreds and hundreds of days. I mean, [07:51] that these people are not to be trusted. [07:53] >> how that went. Okay, it wasn't like it [07:54] was supposed to happen perhaps over a [07:56] couple of weeks. It was just stretched [07:57] out, stretched out, stretched out. I [07:59] There's really no reason to believe [08:01] anything would happen differently here. [08:03] >> No. [08:03] >> So, so we continue on. And while this is [08:05] going on, anti-Semitic attacks continue [08:08] as well. Most recently at a synagogue in [08:11] New York. In fact, the FBI just had a [08:13] report 2/3 of all religious-based hate [08:16] crimes in 2025, 2/3 were against Jews. [08:19] 1,500 different incidents. [08:21] >> And that's in the US and outside of the [08:23] US, of course, we're seeing it all over [08:24] Europe. There was a report of a of a [08:26] group of Israelis Jews that were just in [08:28] Spain and the quote says, "For 40 [08:30] minutes, [08:31] 40 minutes, hundreds of people insulted [08:33] us and spat on us." They were at a [08:35] public beach in Spain. So, this is this [08:37] has gone rampant. It's all across the [08:40] West now and it on the rise is an [08:42] understatement. [08:43] >> And Netanyahu in hot water right now [08:45] because he recently called the UK the [08:47] Islamic Republic of Britain. And really, [08:49] if you think about it, it's not too far [08:51] from the truth. [08:51] >> Might be appropriate. [08:52] >> Jewish people live in peril wherever [08:53] they go in Eastern in Europe, Spain, and [08:57] of course, the UK. [08:58] >> That's right. That's right. And then [09:00] prayer on the Temple Mount. That was [09:01] >> That is Yeah, that's a something that we [09:04] first time ever that they allowed a [09:07] prayer book to be read and prayed over [09:10] on the Temple Mount. That's significant. [09:12] >> It is. Well, and Paul, I had a personal [09:13] experience actually back in September of [09:16] 2025. I went up on the Temple Mount [09:18] myself. I was bringing a friend of mine, [09:20] Aaron Shust. He's a he's a worship [09:21] singer and he had never been on the [09:23] Temple Mount and we just so happened to [09:24] run into Yehuda Glick. He's a rabbi and [09:27] he's actually in the video that you're [09:28] seeing here and he has been going up to [09:30] the Temple Mount once, twice a day for [09:32] years and this prayer book is just one [09:35] more step in the ongoing escalation of [09:39] or increase of Jewish presence on the [09:41] Temple Mount. As you can see in the [09:43] video, when I was there, this again, [09:45] September of 2025, they were laying [09:47] prostrate. We were over on the eastern [09:49] side. They were accompanied by police, [09:51] so it was essentially cordoned off and [09:53] protected. They weren't bothering any [09:55] sort of Muslim prayer that was happening [09:56] on the Temple Mount, but it was shocking [09:58] to be there myself and then now a prayer [10:01] book, right? When when you even as a [10:03] Christian go to the Temple Mount, they [10:05] look through your bag, they take your [10:06] Bible, any sort of religious books, [10:08] off-limits. So, to have a prayer book [10:10] and prayer on the Temple Mount, you're [10:12] right, it is it is another level. [10:14] >> Is this another step? We'll have to see. [10:16] We'll be watching it closely. [10:20] Since October 7th, Israel has fought [10:22] against seven military fronts, including [10:24] Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran. Over the years, [10:27] this war has expanded to university [10:29] campuses, social media, and of course, [10:31] the court of public opinion. [10:33] >> And recently, a meeting in Tel Aviv [10:35] brought together Jewish and Christian [10:37] leaders to confront what they call the [10:40] eighth front. Our bureau chief, Chris [10:41] Mitchell, has that story. Take a look. [10:47] >> The eighth front is the front uh of uh [10:50] public perceptions of PR uh undermining [10:54] not just Israel, not just Zionism, but [10:56] mainly and eventually Western [10:58] civilization, Western countries. This is [11:00] the eighth front. This is not an uh [11:03] an Israeli concept. This is an [11:05] international concept that is relevant [11:08] to America, to Europe, to any society [11:11] that seek freedom and peace. [11:13] >> Former Mossad operative Sagiv Assulin [11:16] believes this result goes beyond Israel [11:19] and that Western civilization faces a [11:21] battle for its own survival. [11:23] >> You know, we are in a war. [11:25] We are in a war against radical Islam, [11:28] against woke extremist organization, uh [11:31] ultra-progress uh, organization, and [11:34] communism. If those three organizations [11:37] came together to fight [11:39] in a very effective way, we we must uh, [11:42] uh, agree against Western civilization, [11:46] also Israel, so surely Jews and [11:49] Christians can come together to one camp [11:51] and to fight back. [11:52] >> It is manifested in something called the [11:54] red green assault. Some also call the [11:58] red green alliance, which means the [12:00] alliance of green Islamists, of red [12:02] communists, and and more recently, um, [12:05] there are some sort of I would even call [12:07] them neo-Nazi nationals in America [12:10] trying to subvert Chris- the Christian [12:13] community. [12:14] >> The event took place here at the annual [12:16] meeting of municipalities from all over [12:18] the country. The reason is to let the [12:20] people of Israel know that they have the [12:22] support of millions of evangelical [12:24] Christians from all over the world. [12:27] >> The significance of this historic uh, [12:29] meeting today in Israel between [12:32] um, Jews and Christians in the Holy Land [12:35] sharing, you know, 3,400 years of uh, of [12:39] a biblical Judeo-Christian tradition is [12:42] actually to become partners in defending [12:45] uh, the very Holy Land that is that is [12:48] so precious to to both Jews and [12:50] Christians because we are both under [12:52] attack. Judeo-Christian civilization is [12:55] under attack. [12:56] >> We've spent centuries estranged from [12:59] each other, and it's time for us to come [13:01] back together and get to know and learn [13:03] each other, and I think even though [13:05] there's suspicions against Christians [13:08] who who want to who love Israel want to [13:10] stand with them, I I think more and more [13:12] Israelis are understanding that we're [13:15] genuine friends. We're here to help [13:17] them. [13:17] >> David Parsons says October 7th [13:20] accelerated that friendship. [13:22] >> I think even the death of Yuron [13:24] Lashinsky who was an Israeli diplomat [13:27] and a Messianic Jewish believer that [13:30] even that has helped start breaking down [13:33] some of the walls and the suspicions [13:34] among Israelis because here he was [13:37] Israeli, he was one of their own [13:38] representing their country but believed [13:40] in Yeshua and I think we're in a time [13:44] that it's it's the the the war, the [13:48] conflict has has sort of [13:50] pushed this along but we believe it's [13:53] the hand and the timing of God to bring [13:55] us together. [13:56] >> Asulin says the enemies of Israel, [13:58] Judaism, and Western civilization [14:01] understood something almost 20 years [14:03] ago. [14:04] >> They cannot win against Israel and [14:06] America and Western countries only by [14:09] kinetic force. So maybe I I think the [14:12] most sophisticated campaign that [14:14] humankind ever seen was launched [14:17] years ago and what we see, you know, by [14:19] by social media, by [14:21] lawfare, by by by penetrating [14:25] education systems, [14:27] universities, colleges, etc. etc. And [14:30] what we see right now is the [14:32] is the outcome of this campaign. [14:35] >> Saudi journalist Abdul Aziz Al-Khamis [14:38] sees the Muslim Brotherhood as one of [14:40] those enemies. [14:42] >> Muslim Brotherhood activities in Europe [14:44] and in United States, it's a lot and [14:47] they doing what they want and they are [14:49] the source [14:51] of the hate [14:53] and the anti Western values. [14:56] Unashamedly, we found our Western [14:59] politicians they support Muslim [15:00] Brotherhood. [15:02] They support the people they want to [15:03] kill them. [15:05] They support the people they want to [15:07] change this their countries. [15:09] >> Al-Khamis adds America needs to know the [15:12] Muslim Brotherhood's agenda. [15:14] >> The ultimate is I think the Muslim [15:16] Brotherhood want to control the [15:19] political scene [15:20] and [15:22] uh USA they try to [15:25] uh have their people in the Congress. [15:28] They try to control the media. And they [15:31] find they finance a lot of activities in [15:34] the university, in the education. [15:36] They're using Palestinian [15:38] cause, but the truth is [15:41] it's uh the ideology, the Muslim [15:43] ideology, radical Muslim ideology. [15:46] >> It's why Dyckorn believes Christians [15:47] around the world must join the fight. [15:50] >> It really [15:52] uh is critically important that that uh [15:55] the 80 million or so Zionist Christians [15:58] in the United States and 700 million [16:01] Zionist Christians around the world join [16:03] Israel in uh in raising the national [16:07] security threats [16:10] in America and around the world on [16:13] television, in the press, in the social [16:15] networks, so that the world understands [16:18] that the the threat is a common threat. [16:21] >> Chris Mitchell, CBN News, Tel Aviv. [16:25] >> [music] [16:26] >> The debate over Israel isn't just [16:28] happening in churches or politics, it's [16:30] happening on social media, and [16:32] especially among Gen Z. [16:34] >> Christopher Keel wrote a book called Is [16:36] God a Zionist? He says Christians need [16:39] to be ready to answer the accusations [16:41] against Israel. Our bureau chief, Chris [16:43] Mitchell, spoke with him about what's at [16:46] stake. [16:49] >> I'm here in our studio with Christopher [16:51] Keel, the author of Is God a Zionist? [16:53] Christopher, great to have you here. [16:55] First of all, can you answer the [16:56] question? Is God a Zionist? [16:58] >> I I argue in the book that he is, in [17:00] fact, a Zionist, much to the dismay of [17:02] many people in the world right now. [17:03] >> Yeah. [17:04] >> This book is trying to address many of [17:05] the the issues that are coming up in [17:07] culture right now uh related to [17:10] uh everything from the theology to the [17:12] conspiracy to the media conversation [17:14] around Israel and the Jewish people. So, [17:16] um [17:17] I I'm not exactly sure why this has [17:18] happened, but we've seen a we've seen a [17:20] big shift in the last 3 years. [17:21] >> How would you describe the cultural [17:23] shift and how intense is it? It's almost [17:26] ferocious sometimes. [17:28] >> Well, I would I would use the word even [17:31] demonic to some degree. The shift that [17:33] that's happened has been so great and so [17:36] severe, but I also you know it's really [17:38] interesting how this is really fallen [17:39] along generational lines. And so you [17:41] have this kind of maybe older than 50 or [17:44] 60 who has what I would call is more of [17:46] a traditional view on Israel and the [17:47] Jewish people. Then you have [17:48] [clears throat] this [17:49] very very active Gen Gen Z category that [17:54] is really being fed a myriad of [17:56] different things online [17:58] specifically through [18:00] podcast social media. [18:02] Spend up to 8 hours a day on social [18:04] media and it's very hard for a pastor [18:06] who has 20 20 minutes with them a week [18:08] to undo the kind of damage that's [18:10] happening on social media right now. [18:11] >> Yeah. Are you providing a new language [18:14] for a new generation or a younger [18:16] generation? [18:16] >> Yes, that's exactly the goal of the book [18:18] was to speak into the the accusations, [18:21] speak into the moment, speak into [18:23] everything the culture is saying about [18:24] these issues [18:25] and to really offer a cultural [18:27] apologetic against what's happening in [18:29] the conversation right now. [18:30] >> And what are you trying to communicate? [18:31] What what's the argument you're making? [18:33] >> First of all, I'm arguing for the [18:35] faithfulness of God. [18:37] You can find strong theological [18:38] Christian support for the belief that [18:41] God is going to return the Jewish people [18:42] to the land of Israel and that his [18:43] covenant has not failed them. [18:45] And then I really try to to address the [18:47] challenge of anti-Semitism which has you [18:50] know there's there's been multiple forms [18:51] of anti-Semitism, but the one I really [18:53] try to address in the book is the [18:55] cosmic conspiracy which is that the Jews [18:57] are behind all the evil in the world. [18:59] >> What do you want this younger generation [19:01] to get out of your book? [19:02] >> I want them to understand that [19:06] we can trust the word of God because of [19:08] his faithfulness to the Jewish people. I [19:10] want them to understand that they have a [19:12] calling and a role in what God is doing [19:14] on the earth right now with the Jewish [19:15] people. Um and I I want them to [19:18] understand that all of this, you know, [19:20] Paul has this kind of amazing doxology [19:22] at the end of Romans 11 where he [19:24] basically praises the mystery of God and [19:26] he says, you know, we have all been [19:28] blind for certain seasons, the Jews and [19:30] the Gentiles, so that God could show [19:31] mercy to us. And so I want them to [19:33] understand that what God is doing with [19:35] the Jewish people is not because the [19:36] Jewish people are more righteous or any [19:38] of these things. It all has to do with [19:39] God's faithfulness. And so [19:41] I think it's the character of God that [19:43] is being contended over right now. [19:45] Really try to enter into the cultural [19:47] conversation through everything Candace [19:48] Owens is saying, Tucker Carlson saying, [19:49] Sean Ryan, all these voices that are [19:51] coming out and accusing Israel all these [19:53] things. Um there's another story that's [19:56] at work here and I want people to find [19:57] that story. [19:58] >> Christopher Achille, congratulations on [19:59] the book and I hope it goes far and [20:01] wide. [20:02] >> Thank you, I appreciate it. It was an [20:02] honor to be here. [20:04] >> At CBN Israel, we have the great [20:06] privilege to bless and tangibly [20:09] demonstrate the never-ending love of God [20:11] for the Jewish people and all the [20:13] peoples of this land. Partner with us [20:15] and help terror victims, immigrants [20:18] fleeing anti-Semitism, refugees, [20:20] Holocaust survivors, single mothers to [20:22] rebuild their lives with dignity and [20:24] hope by meeting their physical, [20:27] emotional, and spiritual needs. Give [20:29] today and let your faith, which is [20:31] rooted in Israel's story, shine for the [20:34] glory of God. [20:40] >> [music] [20:43] >> Last week, Israel marked the 21st [20:45] anniversary of the disengagement, the [20:47] time when 9,000 Jewish Israelis were [20:50] removed from communities they built in [20:52] Gaza and northern Samaria. [20:54] >> Our correspondent Julie Stahl [20:56] interviewed Avi Abelow about his [20:57] memories from that time and about his [20:59] 2005 documentary called Home Game. [21:05] >> I'm joined by Avi Abelow Pulse of [21:07] Israel. [21:09] Avi, after the disengagement, you put [21:11] together a film from the viewpoint of [21:14] the teenagers that were there, [21:16] uh, called Home Game, and telling the [21:19] story of what happened before and during [21:21] the disengagement. Why did you make that [21:24] film? [21:24] >> It was a very very painful time. [21:27] I knew it was a disaster to the [21:28] families. I knew it was a disaster to [21:30] the state of Israel that all of a sudden [21:31] Gaza was going to be turned into a [21:34] launching pad out of terror to terrorize [21:36] Israel, which October 7th proved. But we [21:39] were telling everyone 20 years ago, [21:40] "Don't you dare do this. This is [21:42] horrible. It's going to bring [21:43] destruction to Israel." [21:44] >> And even before October 7th, they were [21:46] firing rockets and doing all sorts of [21:48] things from Gaza. [21:50] >> in Gaza, and we didn't take care. When [21:52] you appease terrorism and you give in to [21:53] demands and you run away from the [21:55] problem instead of stopping it, [21:57] then you you get a an even bigger [21:59] problem. So, I decided I want to make a [22:01] movie so that people could see exactly [22:04] who these people are [22:05] >> Okay. [22:06] >> they experienced, so people around the [22:07] world, and especially Jews, can have [22:09] empathy and understand exactly what this [22:12] was about to ensure something like this [22:13] never happens again. [22:14] >> It's called Home Game. [22:16] And it's from the point of view of the [22:18] teens that were there. [22:20] >> Yes. [22:20] >> How Tell us about the people in the [22:22] film. [22:23] >> So, I was in the community of Netzar [22:25] Hazani in Gush Katif in Gaza. [22:28] Um, [22:29] and basically, when my my video guy told [22:33] when I went to my video guy saying, [22:34] "Make me a movie about this story." And [22:36] I had some of my own video footage from [22:38] being there. He goes, "Avi, you're [22:39] crazy. I made a 4-minute clip for you, [22:41] but that's all I can make." He goes, "If [22:43] you're serious about making a movie [22:44] about their story, go back to the [22:46] families and ask for their home video [22:48] footage." So, it was so important for me [22:50] to get this movie out there to the [22:51] world. I went to these families who just [22:54] lost their homes, lost their lives, and [22:56] here I am asking for their golds, [22:57] basically, the memories of their lives. [22:59] And I gathered over 80 hours of home [23:01] video footage from 18 different families [23:03] and I went back to my video guy. I said, [23:05] "All right, here you go. Make a movie [23:06] now that any Israeli, no matter right [23:09] wing, left wing, will watch this movie [23:11] without turning the channel [23:13] >> Mhm. [23:14] >> from beginning to end in order to be [23:15] impacted by the power of these [23:17] teenagers. And the story is basically [23:19] how they were struggling to win a [23:22] basketball tournament home game the same [23:25] time they were struggling to remain in [23:26] their homes. [23:27] >> Wow. [23:27] >> And it is really powerful. It's one of [23:29] the most watched movies about that's [23:32] fateful summer of 2005. And still today [23:35] it's making an impact and the most [23:37] powerful movie and I highly suggest [23:39] people to to watch it uh to be able to [23:41] internalize it. [23:42] >> How How can they watch it? [23:44] >> Very simply, they can go to my website [23:46] israelunwired.com [23:48] and then in the search bar write in home [23:50] game and Gaza. Uh and it'll it'll it'll [23:53] come up and they'll be able to watch it [23:54] and and hope I hope people do watch [23:57] it and are impacted by it. Um and share [24:00] it with anyone they can to also watch [24:02] it. [24:02] >> Very good. It is a very very powerful [24:05] film and I also recommend it. So, thank [24:08] you so much, Abby, for being with us. [24:10] >> Thank you, Julie, for having me. [24:14] >> And for our YouTube viewers, here's an [24:16] interview with evangelical leader and [24:18] businessman Johnny Moore from the first [24:20] Judeo-Christian Zionist Congress earlier [24:23] this year. [24:24] >> Johnny Moore, great to be with you. You [24:25] just addressed this Congress. Tell us [24:27] why it's so important. [24:29] >> You know, Chris, this is actually [24:30] history. Uh we we're gathering here [24:33] today in Nashville for the first [24:34] Judeo-Christian [24:36] world congress Zionist world congress. [24:39] It it hearkens back to the original [24:41] Zionist congresses where Christians were [24:43] observers and they were invited by Herzl [24:46] himself. Now we're gathered here today [24:48] to say like in our generation we're [24:50] taking responsibility to carry this [24:52] torch uh at a time where um it's more [24:55] complicated than ever. [24:57] >> Who is he? [24:57] >> How would you describe the threat to [24:59] Western civilization right now? [25:01] >> Look, what we've seen after October 7th [25:03] is that every attack on the state of [25:04] Israel or the attack on the Jewish [25:06] community is an attack on our Western [25:07] values, period. And you cannot be anti [25:11] Israel or anti Jewish and be [25:13] pro-American. They cannot coexist. And [25:17] so, you know, [25:18] in order to understand the threat, you [25:20] have to look at the threat in its entire [25:21] context. It's not just about [25:22] anti-Semites showing up on our college [25:24] campuses on the right, on the left, in [25:27] podcasts and all of these things. Every [25:29] attack on the Jewish community, every [25:30] attack on the state of Israel is also [25:32] attack on Western democratic [25:34] civilizational values. And we're here [25:36] today, 400 of us, the people here are [25:38] all leaders, they lead millions of [25:40] people around the world saying, "Sorry, [25:42] you're going to lose. Like, this is not [25:44] going to happen in our generation." [25:45] >> Is this unprecedented you have so many [25:48] Christians and Jews leaders working [25:50] together for such a time as this? [25:52] >> You know, for [25:53] basically my entire life, I've been [25:55] building bridges between the Jewish [25:57] community and between the evangelical [25:59] community specifically. [26:01] And and I would say that's been a [26:01] challenging thing at points. I think [26:03] both communities really misunderstand [26:05] one another and uh the Jewish community [26:08] misunderstands the motives for Christian [26:10] support of Israel and and and, you know, [26:12] the the Jewish community. And I think [26:14] evangelicals often sort of don't [26:16] understand the reason why there is such [26:19] skepticism. And I think right in front [26:20] of our eyes, two things have happened. I [26:23] think many of the historic allies of the [26:25] Jewish community have turned their back [26:26] on the Jewish community and [26:27] simultaneously, Christians have sort of [26:30] awakened to the fact that that actually [26:33] there is no Christianity without [26:34] Judaism. There's no Bible without Jewish [26:36] writers. [26:38] There's no Jesus. He was Jewish himself. [26:40] And I think when the Jewish community [26:42] after October 7th sort of looking on [26:44] their left and looking on their right, [26:45] and many many times the only people that [26:47] were standing with them were [26:48] evangelicals. And also, many [26:50] evangelicals for the first time in their [26:52] lives, including evangelical pastors, [26:54] have actually met Jewish people. I mean, [26:56] which is seems absurd. But, the truth is [26:59] is that most Jews in America don't know [27:02] evangelicals and most evangelicals don't [27:03] know Jews. And so, this is a historic [27:07] change, a historic moment of [27:08] Jewish-Christian solidarity and [27:10] friendship. And this is a naturally [27:12] fitting next step to come together and [27:14] say like, "We're not just going to be [27:15] friends. We're going to fight and win [27:18] this battle together." And it's a [27:19] serious battle, Chris. One of the things [27:21] we're just beginning to awaken to is [27:24] that we have actually endured a world [27:26] war, the first world information war. [27:30] And yes, we saw it going after Israel [27:32] and we saw it going after the Jewish [27:33] community. [27:34] But, that was the first phase. The goal [27:38] was to get to the Jews and to get to [27:40] Israel and to finish with us. And we're [27:43] saying, "Not on our watch." [27:45] >> Is this the test for our generation? [27:48] >> You know, every generation has a test. [27:50] And [27:51] in the Holocaust, there were the trains [27:53] went to Auschwitz. [27:54] My [27:55] parents' generation, there were Jews [27:57] that were stuck in the Soviet Union [27:58] facing this grotesque [28:01] anti-Semitism. [28:02] And I I believe we're the post-October [28:04] 7th generation. And this is our test. [28:08] And we are fighting for [28:11] our values. We're standing next to the [28:13] Jewish community doing it. We're [28:15] fighting also for America. Because all [28:18] of the adversaries of the United States [28:21] are intent on destroying this country. [28:23] And the way they intend on doing it is [28:26] either making sure that we don't [28:27] understand why we exist, we don't know [28:29] our values in the first place, or that [28:30] we're unwilling to defend them. Well, [28:32] we're here to say, "It isn't happening. [28:35] We're going to win this battle." [28:38] And actually, with 700 million [28:39] evangelicals and state of Israel and the [28:42] Jewish community in the United States, [28:43] the Jewish community is incredibly [28:45] diverse. [28:47] There is There is no bipartisan force [28:50] like when Christians and Jews in America [28:53] decide to stand up [28:55] to stand together for these values. [28:57] >> Final question, Johnny. What would be [28:59] your message to that person sitting as a [29:01] Christian in a evangelical church or a [29:04] Jewish man or woman there in a synagogue [29:07] on a Shabbat? [29:08] >> My My message to my Jewish friends is is [29:11] always the same thing sitting in the [29:13] synagogue [29:14] on Shabbat [29:15] is that we're making a commitment. [29:17] As evangelicals around the world, 70 [29:20] million of us in America, 700 million of [29:22] us around the world, in order to get to [29:24] our Jewish neighbors, [29:26] in order to get to them, you're going to [29:28] have to get through us first. [29:31] And to the Christian community, the [29:32] evangelical community, [29:34] it's a slightly different thing, Chris, [29:36] because I'm actually alarmed [29:38] that the the sewer of the internet is [29:41] causing ever so small but growing degree [29:45] of anti-Semitism to sort of move its way [29:48] towards the doors of the church. [29:50] And we have to [29:52] absolutely reject this entirely, [29:55] immediately, and totally. [29:58] And And unfortunately, it's at our [30:02] children. So, this is an existential [30:04] moment for the church. Pastors need to [30:06] have the courage to speak the truth even [30:09] if the lies they're confronting are in [30:12] the lips of a podcaster they used to [30:13] think they could trust. [30:16] >> Johnny Moore, great to be with you and [30:17] thanks so much for your message. [30:18] >> Thanks for having me. [30:20] >> [screaming] [30:22] >> Certainly a pivotal time in our history.
