Transcript [00:05] Is this Israel's never again moment? [00:10] Now, you might think I'm asking this [00:12] question specifically because it's late [00:15] in the Gaza war. It's around 600 days. I [00:18] I've lost count since it started. And [00:21] you think I'm asking it today because [00:24] the war may be nearing an end. We don't [00:27] know. Well, what I'm going to read [00:29] tonight is from a blog that was written [00:33] on October 15th, 2023 that you probably [00:38] never even seen in the mainstream media [00:41] or anywhere online. That's because I [00:44] wrote it. So, no one would have seen it. [00:48] So, I do a lot of this writing just for [00:51] myself. But I felt tonight [00:55] because of the status of the war in [00:57] Gaza, [00:59] I need to read this online, try to get [01:01] this out there a little more. So, I'm [01:04] going to read the blog that I wrote on [01:06] October 15th, 2023. [01:11] And if you know the date when that war [01:12] started, which I think is ingrained in [01:15] the memory of a lot of people, it was [01:18] October 7th, 2023. [01:21] So, this was only 8 days after the war [01:25] started that I wrote this and I asked [01:28] the questions. Is this Israel's never [01:31] again all caps moment? [01:35] It's not a complete history. Uh I start [01:38] out with just a a little look back. It's [01:42] I always like to say this is not a PhD [01:44] thesis, but it's a little history, a [01:47] little context to see where we are, how [01:51] we got here. So, here we go. Is this [01:55] [clears throat] Israel's never again [01:57] moment? [01:59] After World War II ended and the victims [02:01] of the Holocaust who survived were [02:04] relocated to displaced persons known as [02:07] DP camps or other countries or what was [02:11] then known as Britishmandate Palestine. [02:15] A slogan developed that grew over time. [02:18] Never again would Jews be victims to [02:21] another Holocaust. [02:25] The Jews need a homeland. The Arabs [02:27] resist a brief history. [02:30] To escape thousands of years of [02:32] persecution and to prevent a holocaust [02:35] from ever happening again, the Jews [02:38] needed their own homeland. [02:40] Palestine, the biblical Israel, was [02:44] promised to the Jews as a homeland in [02:46] the British Balffor Declaration of 1917. [02:51] That's not a law right there. Then, but [02:54] the Balffor Declaration was ratified at [02:57] the San Remo Conference after World War [03:00] I, which later was adopted into [03:03] international law by the League of [03:06] Nations on July 24th, 1922. [03:11] The Arabs were never open to the idea of [03:13] a Jewish homeland in Palestine [03:16] culminating in a three-year Arab revolt [03:20] from 1936 to 1939 [03:23] prior to World War II. That conflict led [03:27] to the British white paper which limited [03:30] Jewish immigration. [03:33] If the Arabs had welcomed their new [03:36] neighbors to live in peace, these [03:39] revolts may not have happened. [03:42] Fast forward to May 15, 1948. [03:46] Fulfillment of a biblical prophecy in [03:49] Isaiah 68:8. [03:51] A nation is born in a day. [03:54] The British finally had enough of the [03:56] Palestine mandate and wanted out. They [03:59] turned the Palestine problem over to the [04:02] United Nations to work out the details. [04:06] This is another story for another day. [04:09] On November 29th, 1947, [04:12] the UN came up with a plan to partition [04:16] Palestine [04:17] into two independent states, one Arab, [04:21] the other Jewish, with Jerusalem as an [04:24] international city. [04:27] The Jews accepted the plan. [04:30] The Arabs rejected it as they would [04:33] reject every future plan for their own [04:36] state to this day. [04:40] A civil war between Arabs and Jews took [04:43] place from November 29th, 1947 [04:47] through May 15th, 1948 when the British [04:51] pulled out of Palestine. [04:53] Jewish leaders had met on May 14th, 1948 [04:58] and David Bengurian declared the new [05:00] state of Israel. [05:04] The expression never again means [05:08] Israel cannot afford to lose a war. [05:14] Israel was immediately attacked by five [05:17] Arab countries. [05:19] Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq. [05:24] The 1948 War of Independence was halted [05:27] by an armistice in 1949. [05:31] A demarcation line, not a permanent [05:34] border, was drawn known as the Green [05:38] Line. Wars against Israel following the [05:42] War of Independence occurred in 1956, [05:46] 1967, [05:47] 1973, [05:49] 1982, [05:51] and 2006. [05:54] Israel unilaterally withdrew from Gaza [05:57] in 2005 [05:59] in a policy of trading land for peace. [06:05] Despite the end of Israel's presence in [06:07] Gaza, attacks against Israel continued. [06:11] And you can Google or see a timeline of [06:14] the conflicts between Israel and [06:17] Palestinians in Gaza? [06:21] Why is Israel the only nation in the [06:23] world that cannot afford to lose a war? [06:26] If Israel were ever to lose a war, it [06:30] would cease to exist as a Jewish nation [06:33] in its own land. Picture [06:36] a scenario where dual citizen Israelis [06:39] would attempt to leave and return to [06:41] their country of birth and millions of [06:44] native Israelis would immigrate if [06:47] allowed as persecuted people. The land [06:51] might have only a small minority Jewish [06:54] population [06:55] remaining under Muslim rule. [06:59] When other nations lose a war, that [07:01] nation still exists with their native [07:04] population in the majority. [07:06] Japan and Germany were occupied by the [07:09] Allied forces after they surrendered. [07:13] But those two countries were rebuilt [07:15] with the help of the victors. Today, [07:17] [snorts] they are thriving nations as [07:20] well as allies of the United States of [07:22] Americas. [07:25] When Israel defeated Egypt, Jordan, and [07:27] Syria in 1967, [07:30] that was the six- day war, [07:33] those three countries remained as [07:35] nations. [07:37] Egypt lost Gaza, Jordan lost Judea uh [07:41] Judea and Samaria, today known as the [07:44] West Bank, and Syria lost to Golan. They [07:49] lost territory, but not their nation. [07:53] So what is the real meaning of never [07:56] again? [07:59] Israel will fight to the death and never [08:01] surrender. [08:02] They will take whatever action, [08:05] no matter how drastic, to prevent the [08:08] destruction and loss of their nation [08:10] from ever happening again. [08:14] That is the meaning of never again. [08:18] Israel reached a neveragain moment in [08:21] their history on October 7th, 2023. [08:27] The attack on Israel by Hamas on October [08:30] 7th with the brutal murder of over 1,000 [08:34] Israeli civilians in their homes or at a [08:37] concert pushed Israel to the breaking [08:40] point. [08:42] A never again moment [08:45] is a war that Israel could lose if they [08:48] hesitate to use superior weapons and [08:52] quote disproportionate use of force [08:56] close quotes in order to eliminate their [08:59] enemies who threaten to wipe them off [09:03] the map. [09:05] The current war with Hamas in Gaza, [09:08] known as Operation Swords and Iron, has [09:12] put Israel on the brink of this moment. [09:16] Why? [09:18] Israel is facing an urban war with 2 [09:20] million Gazin civilians at risk who are [09:24] being blocked from evacuating by Hamas. [09:28] As I write this, [09:31] there are more than 200 Israeli hostages [09:34] being held in Gaza. That complicates [09:37] Israel's strategy. Let me interject for [09:40] a second. The numbers weren't clear in [09:42] that first week of the war. And nobody [09:44] had it really down to the exact number. [09:47] So that's why I said 200. Hezbollah, the [09:51] terrorist army on the north in Lebanon, [09:53] is threatening to attack with their [09:56] 150,000 rocket arsenal. What I didn't [10:00] write there is they already had on the [10:02] second day of the war on October 8th, [10:04] they started attacking with rockets. [10:08] Back to the blog, Syria has tested [10:11] Israel's reaction by firing mortars on [10:14] the Golan. [10:17] Iran has admittedly been orchestrating [10:19] the entire war by funding and supplying [10:22] their proxy armies, Hamas and Hezbollah. [10:27] All of this has brought Israel to this [10:30] neveragain moment. [10:34] An outcome that could save thousands of [10:36] lives on both sides would be if Hamas [10:41] drops their weapons, raises the white [10:44] flag of surrender, [10:46] puts their hands up, and marches out in [10:49] single file to be arrested as prisoners [10:52] of war by Israeli troops. [10:55] We know that's not happened. Probably [10:58] won't. Although there have been small [11:01] groups of terrorists that have done [11:03] exactly that during the war. But Hamas, [11:07] Hezbollah, and Iran have always vowed to [11:11] wipe Israel off the map [11:14] from the river to the sea. And Israel [11:18] has vowed never again. [11:22] Words have meaning. [11:24] Israel will never surrender. They will [11:27] fight until they destroy Hamas. [11:32] If Israel does not destroy Hamas this [11:35] time so that they cannot rebuild and [11:38] attack Israel again every 2 to 3 years, [11:43] Israel may never again be able to say [11:48] never again.
For context, today September 25, 2026, I am posting this video on my new Pro Israel YouTube channel. I originally created the video on May 28, 2025 for my personal family YouTube channel. In the video I am reading a blog that I wrote on October 15, 2023, eight days after the Hamas attack on Gaza. I mentioned in the video that it was close to Day 600 of the war in Gaza, but I wasn’t sure. I was off by one day. It is in honor of the 251 captives who were abducted from Israel into Gaza who were finally brought home alive or deceased, and in honor of all those Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers who lost their lives on October 7, 2023, or later, that we must remember the words NEVER AGAIN.
