President Trump has presented a draft memorandum of understanding to Middle Eastern leaders including Prime Minister Netanyahu for review. Trump firmly rejects Iranian demands for control over the Strait of Hormuz and clarifies that the U.S. will not ease sanctions, allow crude oil exports, or permit Russia or China to handle Iranian uranium stockpiles.
Trump emphasizes that Iran's military capabilities are severely degraded, with no Navy, air force, or ability to build new missiles or drones, forcing them to negotiate. Secretary of State Rubio and Secretary of War Hegseth stress that diplomacy is the preferred route but the U.S. military remains prepared to complete military operations if negotiations fail, with Operation Epic Fury ensuring Iran never obtains nuclear weapons.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps launched five attack drones toward an American vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, all successfully intercepted, and also launched a ballistic missile toward Kuwait that was intercepted by Kuwaiti forces. The IRGC claimed the attacks were in response to a U.S. military strike near Bandar Abbas International Airport at dawn.
