The first time [00:13] [music] going to give you guys a little [00:14] bit of a flashback [00:16] um from the past. [00:18] I was not expecting to feel everything [00:21] that I was feeling. [00:22] And I'm back [music] here [00:24] and wanting to explore [00:26] what I will feel this time. [00:33] >> [music] [00:45] [music] [00:49] >> All right, so I'm walking around, [00:51] [music] and if you remember the last [00:52] time I was here, [00:54] I was very um [00:57] I shell-shocked is not like the word, [00:59] but like I was [01:00] I was grieving. Um if you watch the old [01:03] one, uh I describe it as feeling like [01:07] coming up [music] to a tomb, a grave of [01:09] someone that you love that's not there [01:11] anymore, [01:12] but there's also no no grave on the [01:15] surface, right? There's no remnant to [01:18] the fact that our history is here. [01:20] And when you come here, [01:22] um it basically sort of feels like that [01:25] that there's like an erasure of [01:26] everything that we [music] are as a [01:28] people, as a nation, and it just feels [01:31] weird. I mean, [music] it'll always feel [01:33] weird. Now, I actually didn't know that [01:36] um [01:37] like not every rabbi, not every part of [01:40] Judaism [01:41] um allows you to actually come up here. [01:44] Also, that's the [music] entrance to [01:45] where they come in and pray. [01:47] And I didn't know that technically [01:50] they're not entirely allowed to come up [01:53] here, and I was convinced that they were [01:54] all allowed, but I guess that's not [01:56] really true. [music] A lot of people [01:58] they do look at, you know, their rabbis [02:01] and stuff like that, their spiritual [02:02] guidance [music] [02:03] as [02:04] um the deciding factor of whether or not [02:05] they can come up to places like this. [02:07] Now, [02:08] um there's two different ways that you [02:10] can come into [music] [02:12] this place. For [02:13] uh Israelis or like non-Muslims, there [02:15] are specific times [music] in which you [02:17] can come up here [02:18] and um and come in and pray. So, if you [02:22] wanted to come and pray here as a Jew, [02:24] that actually for many [music] years [02:25] we're not allowed to come up here at [02:26] all, right? Um you would basically have [02:29] to go what's called the religious [02:31] [music] route. [02:32] Um so, they take you from the entrance [02:35] all the way to sort of the back. I'll [02:37] show you guys [music] where that back [02:38] is. [02:39] Basically, behind those arches over [02:42] there, [music] number eight. [02:44] Is it that right over there? [02:46] Um you basically are taken way behind [02:48] there [02:49] and you are able to [02:51] uh pray, but only with the um sort of [02:54] you boy, how do you say? Like being [02:56] chaperoned [02:57] um by [02:59] Israeli army, [03:00] um [03:01] the border police, police, stuff like [03:03] that. So, there's it's very contentious [03:05] here in that sense. [music] And as a Jew [03:07] to be able to come here and pray is [03:10] something actually very, very new. [03:12] So, yeah, Jews were not able to pray [03:14] here for a very, very long time. [03:18] Okay, so how do I actually feel now? [03:20] We're going to [03:21] sit on one of these little [03:24] baby chairs [03:25] that they sort of guess the old people [03:27] they just sit here and look at the [03:29] look at the view. [04:49] I think that there's sort of a parallel [04:52] between the longing of the heart [04:54] and being here. And I think it this [04:57] place and what I feel when I come back [04:59] to it every single time is that that [05:01] feeling sort of morphs. [05:03] >> [music] [05:03] >> So, right now what I'm longing for is [05:06] the presence of God, [05:07] a husband, a family of my own, right? To [05:10] have children. [music] I need um another [05:13] client because I need more money [music] [05:15] to be able to move out, to stabilize [05:17] financially. [05:18] I want an apartment. Like there's a lot [05:20] of things that I need that I don't have. [05:22] >> [music] [05:23] >> And just thinking about the fact that, [05:25] you know, when [05:26] our temple did exist, now it's not here, [05:29] it's ruined, right? [05:30] We would come to God with the longings [05:33] of our hearts. We would come [music] to [05:34] meet him. We would come to praise him, [05:36] to worship him, to purify ourselves [05:37] before him, and also to request things. [05:40] And I'm thinking also of of Hannah [05:44] or Hana, uh Hannah in the Bible, that [05:46] she longed for a child. [05:49] And I think that when, [05:51] >> [music] [05:51] >> you know, on the daily basis, when we [05:53] long for things so much, oftentimes, [05:56] because that looks like desperation, or [05:58] that looks like, [06:00] I don't know, like, it looks like it's [06:01] too much, like, you want something too [06:03] much, um, then you're sort of a bit [06:06] judged for it, and maybe even criticized [06:08] [music] for it. [06:09] Um, so what do I mean by that? Okay, so [06:12] Hannah wanted a child, right? She was [06:13] barren. [06:15] And she wanted a child, and, [music] you [06:17] know, back then they would have, you [06:18] know, sometimes multiple wives. Her [06:20] husband, you know, was looking at her [06:23] and saying, like, am I not enough for [06:24] you? [06:25] Am I, your husband, not enough to for [06:27] you, that you're crying and wanting a [06:28] child? And [music] yet, yes, I guess [06:31] that wasn't enough for her. She wanted a [06:32] child, and she was so antagonized by, I [06:35] think it was Peninnah, uh, the other [06:37] wife, that she had children, and [06:39] >> [music] [06:39] >> and she didn't, right? She was basically [06:41] criticized for how she prayed at the [06:43] temple. She was crying and crying and [06:46] crying so much, so that they thought, [06:47] basically, [music] that she was drunk. [06:49] Eli thought that she was drunk. And she [06:51] wasn't drunk. She was just so [06:53] heartbroken and desperate to have a [06:56] child, that on the outside, that looks [06:58] like someone [music] who's just [06:59] desperate, and, you know, get your act [07:01] together. But really, she's saying, hey, [07:03] like, I actually need all these things. [07:05] I need all these things. [music] [07:06] And I want these things. And she's, you [07:09] know, even so, was so into it that it [07:11] looks like she's, [music] you know, [07:12] crying and, you know, just blubbering, [07:14] you know, gibberish, but really what she [07:16] is is praying desperately to God to [07:19] answer. [07:20] And [music] I feel like sometimes people [07:22] criticize others for the deep, deep, [07:24] deep desires of their heart. So, they'll [07:26] be like, uh, if you say that you want to [07:28] get married, they'll [music] be like, [07:29] why do you want that so much? In other [07:32] words, you know, they say it in ways [07:33] like, uh, God wants you to be content [07:35] [music] before you find someone, or, you [07:37] know, minimize it by saying like, you [07:39] have all these things, isn't it enough [07:40] for you? [music] If you tend to judge [07:41] yourself and minimize your needs and [07:44] your desires, [07:45] don't do that. [music] I'm trying to not [07:47] do that myself because whatever need [07:49] that we have, as deep as it is, as, [07:52] [music] you know, whatever as it is, [07:54] it's there not for no reason. There's a [07:56] reason why we need things. And so, [07:58] [music] I think that I'm trying to not [08:00] judge myself for the need of my heart. [08:03] And um, you know, even though I don't [08:05] think that a third temple is necessary [08:07] for the [music] presence of God, [08:09] uh, per se, I think that the fact that [08:11] people want it and need it, that's not [08:13] something that I judge even though I [08:14] don't feel like I need it myself in the [08:16] same way. So, you'll see in like Judea [08:19] and Samaria, you should see on, you'll [08:21] see a lot of like, um, flags or stickers [08:23] of Beit Shlishi. Beit Shlishi means [08:27] basically third temple. [08:28] Many people think that the [08:31] Dome of the Rock is called Al-Aqsa, but [08:34] actually Al-Aqsa [08:35] is [music] this mosque over here. We [08:38] can't go into it, of course, cuz we're [08:39] not Muslim and we're not going to pray [08:41] there, but uh, basically they go and and [08:43] pray in here. This is a place of prayer. [08:45] And you will hear it from their [08:47] Mizgadeem, from their [08:48] >> [music] [08:48] >> like mosques, you will hear their [08:50] prayers. [08:51] Um, when I was staying in the old city [08:53] in the Muslim Quarter, which is a vlog [08:55] that I still have not put out, um, cuz [08:58] I'm still thinking about how to how to [08:59] do that, um, you would see basically [09:02] [music] [09:03] the Dome of the Rock so, so, so close. [09:05] But when they have their times of [09:06] prayer, like Ramadan and like, uh, all [09:09] their like different holidays, um, this [09:12] place is really like really, really, [09:13] really packed. And I don't entirely know [09:16] if Israelis are allowed to come in and [09:19] like I'm I'm not entirely sure how it [09:21] works, but just the fact that now I can [09:23] come up here, I think honestly is [09:25] nothing short of a miracle. Now, if you [09:27] are [09:27] >> [music] [09:28] >> a New Testament believing person, you [09:29] can read in the Book of Revelation how [09:31] it says that there will be another [09:33] [music] temple here, a third temple. [09:34] There are those that say that basically [09:37] the third Temple, I don't know where [09:39] exactly they say that it [music] will [09:41] be. There are some say that it will be [09:43] instead of but actually many and I don't [09:45] know if it'll be [09:46] like in this Plaza or in the Plaza next [09:51] to [09:52] next to the Dome of the Rock but they [09:54] basically believe that there can also be [09:56] like room [music] for both. [09:58] Um, [09:59] I don't know entirely what that looks [10:01] like. [10:02] Um, [10:03] but we also know that it will be a very [10:06] typical [10:07] the the ending of that will will be a [10:09] little bit uh [10:11] You can read about it. Let's just say. [10:13] >> [laughter] [10:14] >> You can read about it. Sometimes people [10:16] have an intention for something to be [10:17] one thing and ends up being different [10:19] but I also do wonder and we're going to [10:21] walk up to the Dome of the Rock again. [10:24] I wonder if if we suddenly had a third [10:27] Temple again [10:29] would the hearts of people even be ready [10:30] for it? I mean that's the question you [10:32] have to ask too because right now I'm [10:34] looking at Islam and I'm thinking okay, [10:36] would a third Temple [10:37] bring people the desire to be clear to [10:41] God again? [10:42] >> [music] [10:43] >> Would they come and pray for God's [10:45] presence to be you know welcomed there [10:48] again? How how would it work? I believe [10:51] that anywhere [music] in which you ask [10:53] for God to be present, he will be. [10:56] Um, it says that in the Psalms also [10:57] Yeshua gives us that promise that he [10:59] will be with us [11:00] >> [music] [11:00] >> till the end of the world and [11:03] so I believe that wherever you ask God [11:05] to be, he [music] will be. [11:07] The question is [11:09] are people's [music] hearts prepared for [11:11] his presence? [11:12] Um, it's a it's a really [11:15] I don't know, I think legitimate [11:16] question [11:17] in the heart to [music] know if that's [11:20] something that we can even withstand as [11:21] a people [11:23] because once you encounter the presence [11:24] of God, you're never [music] the same [11:25] again. [11:26] You are absolutely never the same. [11:52] >> [music] [12:14] >> So here you can see [12:17] they're being told to continue to move [12:19] forward [12:21] instead of stopping here to pray [12:24] in front of [12:26] the Temple Mount. [12:30] They have to make sure that they're [12:31] completely completely out of the [12:33] premises all of them together. [12:37] But yeah, this is where [12:39] we would come in the thousands and [12:41] thousands and millions of us [12:43] every single year to come and pray. [12:46] You can see she's praying here. [12:49] Which actually she's not really allowed [12:50] in a sense. [12:52] They're walking backwards because it's [12:54] almost like [12:55] the same concept as the Kotel that you [12:57] don't put your hand your um you don't [13:01] turn your back on the Kotel. [13:03] People are washing their hands. [13:11] >> [singing] [13:21] >> So you can actually come out through [13:23] like any of the [13:26] like uh how do you say Sha'arim the [13:28] gates? [13:30] Um there's different ones. I think [13:31] there's [13:33] There's this one as well.
