An [01:28] extraordinary diplomatic drama unfolded [01:30] overnight when United States President [01:33] Donald Trump announced that he had [01:35] canled a planned American attack against [01:37] Iran following a series of appeals from [01:41] Middle Eastern leaders who urged him to [01:43] avoid further escalation and allow [01:45] window of opportunity for an agreement. [01:48] At the same time, Trump made it clear [01:51] that Israel had also joined the [01:53] commitment not to carry out an attack [01:55] while the diplomatic effort was [01:57] underway. But he warned that if an [01:59] agreement is not reached quickly, the [02:02] United States is prepared to launch a [02:04] military attack on an enormous scale. And at this [04:22] stage, it's unclear whether Trump is [04:25] applying psychological pressure on Iran [04:27] as part of the negotiations or whether [04:30] he truly intends to act in surprise. [04:33] One of the most prominent posts, the [04:35] president suggested that he was [04:37] destroying Iran's local currency while [04:40] displaying images of Iranian ship [04:42] sinking. The post come amid [04:44] extraordinary tensions in the Middle [04:47] East as senior Israeli officials assess [04:49] that Trump is approaching a decision [04:52] regarding powerful strikes on facilities [04:54] belonging to the Iranian regime. [04:57] The Israeli Air Force is currently [04:59] remaining on high alert both in its [05:01] offensive units and its air defense [05:03] systems. The IDF is prepared to strike [05:06] if Iran drags Israel into the campaign. [05:10] At the same time, the IDF is increasing [05:12] its preparations around Israel's [05:14] strategic facilities in Hifa Bay and the [05:17] Mediterranean Sea, including the [05:19] offshore glass platforms. And in Tehran, [05:21] however, Trump's remark were dismissed [05:24] with contempt. Iranian military sources [05:27] claimed that Iran had never asked for [05:29] the strikes to stop and called the [05:32] American president's statements a new [05:34] lie. [08:59] Israel is still not publicly addressing [09:00] the tense situation, but behind the [09:03] scenes, it appears that the United [09:05] States and Israel are planning one of [09:07] the most significant bombing operations [09:10] against Iran up to this point if the [09:13] negotiations collapse once again. Now, [09:17] according to assessments, the attack [09:19] would focus on Iran's infrastructure and [09:21] energy facilities. [11:40] The published list includes Israel's [11:42] Leviathan and Tamal gas fields as well [11:45] as oil and gas facilities in Saudi [11:47] Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, [11:51] Kuwait, and Bahrain. Now at the same time the United [12:15] States Central Command Sentcom proposed [12:18] a two-week bombing campaign against [12:20] Iran's missile sites. The report in the [12:23] Wall Street Journal was joined by a [12:25] report from CBS, according to which the [12:28] United States and Israel discussed a [12:30] broad bombing operation against Iran's [12:32] energy infrastructure. Now, according to [12:34] the report, the strikes could be carried [12:36] out as early as this weekend with a goal [12:39] of possibly concluding them before the [12:41] Stark markets open on Monday amid [12:44] concerns about the impact on the global [12:47] economy in general and the American [12:49] economy in particular. [13:12] For now, at least in this round, it [13:15] appears that Iran has succeeded in [13:17] achieving its main objective, preventing [13:19] another attack against it, preserving [13:22] its diplomatic room for maneuver and [13:24] proving that even in the face of heavy [13:26] American and Israeli threat, the path to [13:29] war still runs through the capabil [13:31] capability and capital of the Gulf, not [13:34] only through the command rooms in [13:36] Washington and Jerusalem. The bottom [13:38] line is this. Even if Trump presents the [13:42] cancellation of the attack as a move [13:44] intended to allow for better agreement, [13:47] and even if Washington insists that all [13:49] military options remain on the table, in [13:51] practical terms, Iran has gained [13:54] valuable time, prevented another attack [13:56] for the time being, and once again [13:58] proved that it is able to use the fears [14:00] of the region's power regarding an [14:03] all-out war to its own advantage. President Trump did [20:09] not cancel a routine strike. He stopped [20:12] an operation that had moved deep into [20:14] the planning stage. Possible targets [20:17] included power stations, refineries, [20:20] missile infrastructure, and facilities [20:22] connected to Iran's nuclear program. [20:24] Officials also discussed cutting [20:26] electricity to Thran. The timing [20:29] mattered. Planners examined whether the [20:32] operation could be completed before [20:34] financial markets opened on Monday. An [20:37] attack on energy infrastructure could [20:38] have pushed oil prices higher, disrupted [20:41] shipping insurance, and increased fuel [20:43] costs for Americans before the [20:45] congressional midterm elections. [21:53] Destroying every chamber beneath the [21:54] mountain will be much harder and that [21:57] uncertainty is part of the decision [21:58] facing the president. The broader [22:01] military logic is [22:03] every launch of missile that Patriot SAD [22:07] Aegis ships or fighter aircraft must [22:09] intercept. But Iran threatened to strike [22:12] energy facilities in Israel and across [22:14] the Gulf. It specifically named Israel's [22:16] Levis and Tamar Gasfields. [22:19] That is why Crown Prince Muhammad bin [22:21] Salman pressed President Trump to stop. [22:25] Saudi Arabia had joined American action [22:27] against Iranianbacked militias in Iraq. [22:29] But Ryad did not want the next step to [22:32] ignite the Gulf. Thran's answer would be [22:35] to spread the cost across oil fields, [22:38] ports, airports, shipping lanes, and [22:41] American bases. IRAN: The United States was prepared to carry out a sudden attack on Iran — but at the last moment, President Donald Trump halted the strike after appeals from Mohammed bin Salman, Erdoğan, and Gulf leaders. The attack is not canceled forever. It is frozen as long as the negotiations continue and as long as Trump believes a deal can be reached quickly.
U.S. MILITARY ALERT: Thirty American refueling aircraft are already in Israel, with ten more on the way. Israel’s Air Force and air defense systems remain on high alert, while the IDF prepares for the possibility that Iran could drag Israel into the campaign. Strategic facilities in Haifa Bay, the Mediterranean Sea, and Israel’s offshore gas platforms are now under increased protection.
IRAN COLLAPSE: American military pressure is pushing the Revolutionary Guards toward economic collapse, while Iran is falling apart from within. The regime is trying to project strength, but Tehran is under pressure, its currency is collapsing, and new details are emerging about the hunt for Iran’s supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei.
REGIONAL PRESSURE: The strike was stopped after heavy diplomatic pressure from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and other Gulf countries. From Tehran’s perspective, preventing another American attack without visible concessions is being presented as a victory. From Israel’s perspective, this may only be a dangerous pause before a much larger round.
LEBANON: Over the weekend, the IDF used 700 tons of explosives to destroy strategic Hezbollah tunnels built by Iran for the Badr force in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah continued challenging IDF forces on the Ali Taher Ridge, where an officer from the Egoz reconnaissance unit was wounded and the terrorist was eliminated.
ENERGY WAR: Iran is threatening to retaliate against energy facilities across the Middle East, including Israel’s Leviathan and Tamar gas fields, as well as oil and gas infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain. Iranian-linked attacks were also reported near the Strait of Hormuz, while Tehran warns of “comprehensive retaliation” if the United States strikes Iranian infrastructure.
WHAT COMES NEXT: The question now is whether this is the beginning of a new regional arrangement — or only a short pause before the next round. The United States, Israel, and the Gulf are all preparing for the possibility that if negotiations collapse, the next attack on Iran could be far larger and far more dangerous.
