Trump praised the performance [01:54] of the United States in the war, claiming that Thran's army was destroyed and warned that if [02:00] Iran does not meet its commitments, Washington could severely damage its energy infrastructure. [02:06] This is happening at the same time as a funeral procession for Iran's leader Ali Kamayi. The [02:12] procession continued today in Iran and turned into an extreme display of hatred. Participants waved [02:19] incitement signs calling for the elimination of Prime Minister Byamo and United States President [02:24] Donald Trump alongside a doll in Trump's likeness that was hanged from a rope. One second. I want [02:32] to pause for a moment on the level of extremism in this display so you understand exactly what [02:38] is happening there. Along the funeral route, giant signs were hung under the title Wanted. The signs [02:46] showed illustrations of Israel's Prime Minister Bin Netanyao and President Donald Trump with a [02:51] red target marked on each of their foreheads. These signs included in Persian and English an [02:56] explicit threat. Whoever eliminates the two like dogs will receive a prize of 100 plots of land, [03:04] each one covering 200 square meters. At the bottom of the sign, two coffins were illustrated wrapped [03:10] in the flags of Israel and the United States alongside the words soon. Now look, Iran is [03:16] setting red lines ahead of the continuation of contacts with Washington and among those lines, [03:22] stopping the fighting in Lebanon, preserving its position in the Straight of Hummus, and [03:27] growing difficulty in ignoring the public pressure inside Iran to avenge the elimination of Supreme [03:32] Leader Ali Kamay. According to him in Thran, they're not wasting a single [04:26] moment in preparing for a possible confrontation. While all of this is happening, the president of [04:32] the United States may arrive at the NATO summit in Turkey with a gift for Erdogan. A gift that [04:38] could put the Turks back on track to purchase the advanced stealth fighter jets. Earlier this week, [04:44] two interviews with our prime minister Bin Netanya were published on Fox News and it appears they are [04:51] part of the diplomatic battle taking place in real time just before a meeting that could affect the [04:58] balance of power in the region. Netanyahu chose to fight this battle on screen knowing full well [05:04] that Trump is listening. In an interview with Fox News, Israeli Prime Minister warned this [05:11] would violate the balance of power in the Middle East, which is based on Israel's air superiority. [05:16] The prime minister added that Turkey is ruled by a man who openly calls for destruction of Israel. [05:22] We'll bring you all the details shortly about the opening of the NATO summit in Ankara and about the [05:27] Israeli effort to prevent Turkey from receiving F-35s. By the way, in recent days, aircraft from [05:34] the Greek Air Force took part in aerial refueling exercises over the island of Cree. The Greek Air [05:41] Force does not have refueling aircraft of its own, and the cooperation with Israel gives it a [05:46] new ability to operate in the region. This is also send a strong message to Turkey. Israel is present [05:52] in the arena and it is partners in the Eastern Mediterranean as well. And is Hamas really giving [05:58] up control of the Gaza Strip? Or is this another public relations exercise? Following yesterday's [06:05] dramatic announcement about the dismantling of the emergency committee, the peace council is [06:10] making clear the terrorist organization will be required to make very painful concessions. Kamas [06:17] claimed today in an official statement that it is dismantling the emergency committee that manages [06:22] the strip. But the peace council is quickly cooling the celebration and reminding everyone [06:28] that this story is far from over. Kamas's declaration about the resignation of Muhammad [06:33] Abdel Khaled Al Far, head of the government emergency council or committee in Gaza and [06:40] about the complete dismantling of the committee did not pass quietly into the international [06:45] arena. The Peace Council, the international body overseeing the implementation of the [06:50] United States President 20point plan, responded to the announcement and said the following. A real [06:56] transfer of authority must allow the international community to carry out its mandate independently, [07:02] including making the administrative and governmental decisions entrusted to it. Let's get back [09:15] to the news. In the Oval Office in Washington, President Trump took the gloves off against Iran. [09:22] His message was simple. either in agreement or the United States will finish the mission. While the [09:29] American president is talking about a deal, crowds are marching through the streets of Tehran in a [09:34] funeral procession that has turned from a national morning event into a display of revenge against [09:40] Israel and the United States. So the question now is not only whether there will be an agreement, [09:45] the question is who's really controlling this moment. Is it Washington, which is threatening, [09:51] or Tehran, which is trying to turn the funeral into leverage over the entire Middle East? Trump [09:57] made clear that he's not seeking to topple the regime in Iran. He said that he prefers [10:02] an agreement because he does not want to harm tens of millions of Iranian civilians. But in [10:06] the same breath, he threatened to strike Iran's energy infrastructure, to shut down power plants, [10:12] to paralyze the electricity supply, and to prove to Thran that American military power is still [10:18] very much on the table. He also returned to the core point from his perspective. Iran [10:23] must not be allowed to have nuclear weapons or the means to reach them. And this is exactly [10:28] where the major gap lies. Because in the White House, they're talking about enriched uranium, [10:34] about nuclear facilities, inspections, and a filing agreement. But in Iran, [10:39] they're talking about leverage and revenge, about Lebanon, the Strait of Humus, [10:44] and the regime's need not to appear as if it surrendered after the elimination of Supreme [10:50] Leader Ali Kami. During the funeral procession of the Supreme Leader, the chance against Trump [10:56] and against Nathaniel were not just slogans. Along the route, signs were hung with explicit threats, [11:03] illustrations of the leaders of Israel and the United States, red targets on their foreheads, [11:07] and coffins wrapped in the flags of Israel and the United States. This is not national grief. [11:14] This is a political performance by a regime trying to signal outwardly. We may have been hit, but we [11:21] have not been broken. Now, at the same time, the spokesman for Iran's military, Muhammad Akami Nia, [11:28] said that the armed forces are using this period of calm to improve their combat capabilities. The [11:33] meaning is clear. A ceasefire from Thran's point of view is not necessarily a pause. can be time [11:39] to repair, to conceal, time to refill stockpiles, and time to prepare for the next round. In Israel, [11:47] they hear this very clearly. Defense Minister Isad Katz said sharply that Kamina was eliminated [11:54] because he led the plan to destroy Israel and added that any Iranian leader who tries to [11:59] advance a similar plan will also be eliminated. This is not a statement made in a vacuum. [12:06] It has been said while negotiations are underway but also while Iran is trying to restore its [12:10] deterrence and this is where the straight of Humus enters the picture. Iran does not see the [12:15] straight only as a maritime route. It sees it as a strategic lever. Ships, oil, maritime insurance, [12:23] energy prices and pressure on governments in the west all pass through this narrow choke point. [12:29] That is why Thran insists that security in the strait be managed by the countries on the region [12:35] mainly by Iran and Oman and not by western forces. Now the UK and France have already signaled [12:41] willingness to take part in an international mission to protect freedom of navigation in [12:46] Thran. They seize this as an attempt to take away one of their most important bargaining chips. [12:52] The command of Iran's armed forces even warned that any violation of Iranian sovereignty in the [12:57] strait would be met with a firm response. In other words, while Trump says deal or mission, Iran says [13:04] not without Homus and not without Lebanon. Thran is also placing southern Lebanon inside [13:10] the equation. During the funeral ceremonies, an official Lebanese delegation arrived in the [13:15] Iranian capital led by Defense Minister Michelle Mansa. The Iranians present this as part of a [13:21] broader coordination and emphasize that any future arrangement must include an end to the fighting [13:26] in Lebanon and a full Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon. This is important to understand. [13:32] Iran is trying to pull the talks away from the narrow nuclear question and into its entire map [13:37] of influence in the region. The nuclear, Lebanon, hummus, frozen assets, sanctions, [13:43] economic recovery and revenge, all of it enters the same deal. And meanwhile, Russia is reminding [13:49] everyone that it is still in the game. Moscow announced that if the situation remains calm, [13:56] Russian nuclear experts will return to the Bushal nuclear power plant in mid July. Tom had already [14:02] evacuated hundreds of workers at the beginning of the war and are now talking about a gradual return [14:08] to routine. Now, this sounds technical, but it's not only technical. Bush is a symbol of nuclear [14:14] cooperation between Russia and Iran. When the Russians return there, they're signaling to Thran [14:20] that they have not disappeared. They're signaling to Washington that there is a limit to how much [14:25] Iran can be isolated without also calculating Moscow. China is also in the background. In the Palestinian arena, [16:15] Hamas is trying to play a similar game. The organization announced the dismantling of the [16:19] emergency committee that managed the Gaza Strip and the opening of the way for the [16:25] National Committee to manage the strip. Now, on paper, this sounds like a transfer of power, but [16:30] on the ground, the story is far more complicated. The ministry staff remain in their positions. The [16:36] mechanisms do not disappear. The real question is whether Kamas is handing over authority or merely [16:42] replacing the sign on the door. The peace council made clear that the test will be practical, [16:47] not declarative. The principle it's setting is very clear. One authority, one law, [16:53] one weapon. In other words, no shadow government, no militias, no armed mechanisms operating behind [16:59] a civilian committee. If the national committee is supposed to govern Gaza, it needs to govern for [17:05] real. In Israel, this move is being viewed with deep suspicion. An Israeli official has already [17:10] defined it as a meaningless spin. as long as Kamas's people remain in positions of power. Now, [17:16] at the same time, the IDF continues to remove threats on the ground. In the northern Gaza Strip, [17:22] Fadifala Ashul Damesh was eliminated, a commander in the training department of Kamas's military [17:29] wing. And in the years before the October 7th massacre, he led training for the NUKBA force. [17:35] During the war, he was involved in managing combat against IDA forces. And in recent days, [17:40] he had been working to advance additional terror plans and rebuild Hamas's capabilities. This is [17:47] exactly the gap between political declarations and operational reality. Hamas says it is dismantling. [17:54] The IDF meets commanders on the ground who are trying to rebuild terrorist capabilities. Now, [17:59] at the same time, IDF forces destroyed underground routes totaling more than one one kilometer long, [18:05] as well as four launch positions that were built after the ceasefire came into effect. Those [18:11] positions were not built for a museum. They were ready to launch towards IDF forces and Israeli [18:16] civilians. Now, in a completely different arena, but one connected to the same regional power [18:22] picture, the battle over the F-35 fighter jets is underway. Netanyao warned Trump not to return [18:29] Turkey to the path of purchasing the stealth aircraft. He said that such a sale would damage [18:34] the balance of power in the Middle East, which is based on Israel's air superiority. Turkey was [18:39] removed from the F-35 program after it purchased S400 systems from Russia over concerns that [18:46] Moscow could learn about the capabilities of the advanced American aircraft through that system. [18:52] Now on the eve of the NATO summit in Ankara, the fear in Israel is that Trump may arrive [18:57] with a strategic gift for Erdogan. This is not only about an aircraft. It's about technology, [19:03] penetration capability, regional status, and the question of who receives the power to change the [19:09] skies over the Middle East. That's exactly why the joint air exercise between Israel and Greece over [19:15] CIT is so important. An Israeli refueling aircraft practice aerial refueling with Greek F-16 fighter [19:22] jets. Greece does not have its own refueling fleet and cooperation with Israel gives it the ability [19:28] to operate farther away, remain in the air for longer and expand its re range of action in the [19:34] eastern Mediterranean. This is quite a message, but a clear message. Israel is not looking only [19:41] eastward towards Iran. It is also looking westward towards the Mediterranean, towards Turkey, towards [19:46] Greece and towards the question of who is building alliances while the regional map is changing. [19:53] And so in one day, all the arenas connect. Iran threatens and negotiates. Russia returns to Bush. [20:01] Kamas declares that it is handing over power, but its people remain inside the mechanisms. [20:06] The IDF continues to strike commanders and infrastructure, and Turkey is trying to return [20:11] to the F-35 game, while Israel is trying to block it before it's too late. This is not a real period [20:18] of quiet. This is a period in which every side is using the pause to improve its position before [20:23] the next decision.
