Transcript [00:00] With much of the world shifting away [00:02] from Israel, there is one nation that's [00:05] coming closer, and it's Brazil. Today, [00:08] I'm joined with Eduardo Bolsaro, a [00:10] former congressman and a strong voice [00:12] for freedom, faith, and a great friend [00:15] of Israel. He's also the son of Jarab [00:17] Bolsaro, who was uh the president in [00:20] Brazil, and he's currently serving a [00:24] 27year [00:25] uh prison term uh for allegedly [00:28] attempted coup. But of course, we know [00:31] that he's jailed for simply being a [00:33] conservative leader who challenged the [00:35] system. Um so before we get to the [00:38] question, because I have a lot to uh I [00:39] wanted to ask you about Israel, but I [00:41] think that a lot of people want to know [00:43] what is going on in Brazil. Why is your [00:46] father uh right now in uh in prison? [00:50] >> I think people from Israel can [00:51] understand it very well because the [00:53] Netanyahu is suffering the same kind of [00:55] lawfare is the same kind of laware that [00:57] Trump did uh uh suffered that in United [01:00] States. So it's basically is the same [01:02] virus as I have a friend that always [01:04] says that probably in Brazil is that we [01:06] have less antibodies but it's the same [01:08] thing. So my father is serving 27 years [01:10] not because he was involved with drug [01:12] dealers or corruption or lottery money [01:15] whatever. So he's there because the [01:18] accused of attempted coup data on [01:21] January 8th of 2020 23 which was pretty [01:25] much looks like the same thing that [01:26] happened in US in January 6. [01:29] There is no WhatsApp conversation. No [01:32] one received any orders uh about uh [01:35] coming from my father. There was no no [01:39] guns or weapons seized at this January [01:42] 8th in Brazil. And in that moment, my [01:44] father was in Orlando, United States. [01:48] That's why we call this as the Disney [01:51] World Cup deta. Anyway, my father, he [01:54] traveled back to Brazil believing that [01:57] it was the right thing to do and uh [02:00] sure, everybody knew that he was going [02:01] to be convicted and uh he did so and now [02:05] he's in jail. So, we have a lot of hope [02:07] that now in the elections that we have [02:09] in October, we can overturn that by [02:12] electing my father's uh son and my [02:15] brother, Senator Flavo Bosonado, who is [02:17] also here in Israel, also Israeli [02:19] friend, too. [02:20] >> Wow. I mean, we're we're praying because [02:23] this is, if you ask me, this is an [02:25] attack on conservative voices all across [02:27] the world. And right now, unfortunately, [02:29] your father is a victim of that. But uh [02:31] God is greater than uh than the this uh [02:35] satanic um socialist attacks. [02:37] >> I always try honey to to look the things [02:39] from the positive perspective. So uh at [02:42] least we can use that to show how evil [02:45] are these kind of people, how dirty they [02:47] are. They do not care about the laws, [02:49] about the rule of law or you know the [02:52] constitution. And in the end of the day, [02:54] people is realizing it's not it's not a [02:56] coincidence that my brother, he just [02:58] launched his campaign like one month [03:00] ago, he announced that he's going to run [03:02] for president. The right candidate that [03:04] would beat Lula easily would be Jerry [03:07] Bonaro. But as he's in jail, my brother [03:09] is going to run and uh nowadays he's in [03:12] front of Lula in some of the polls. So [03:15] which means that we have uh we are in a [03:18] very strong position to go back to the [03:21] presidency. And not only that also [03:24] taking control of the Congress which is [03:25] very important and you know here in [03:27] Israel that is really important right? [03:29] >> It is it is you know uh Brazilian people [03:32] have surprised many people around the [03:35] world by standing with Israel when it [03:38] matters. And the interesting contrast [03:40] here is that while the people in Brazil [03:43] love Israel you right now have one of [03:46] the most anti-Israel government in [03:48] Brazil's history. Um, you know, there is [03:51] no functioning embassy in Israel. Brazil [03:54] rejected the new Israeli ambassador and [03:57] downgraded relations. But the people in [03:59] Brazil, they're burning with love for [04:02] Israel. [04:03] How do you explain that? [04:06] It's easy. Like, how can you support and [04:09] be on the side of people that burn women [04:11] alive and kill pregnant women and put, [04:15] you know, babies in the ovens? is very [04:17] easy and you need to be brainwashed [04:20] to be on the other side. So be on the [04:23] other side would be the surprise. Now I [04:25] know that uh I have some Jewish friends [04:27] in Brazil that say oh we are very bad in [04:29] uh in communications in marketing [04:31] propaganda but I would tell you that you [04:33] are getting better in that because in [04:35] Brazil everybody saw what happened on [04:37] October 7th. I think it was a a changing [04:40] game about the perspective about EU and [04:43] it's very it become very hard for the AU [04:47] forces to hide everything that is going [04:50] on here. I'll tell you before the first [04:53] time that I did come here in Israel. It [04:54] was in 2016 and uh I had uh I did come [04:59] here not knowing a lot about the country [05:02] and the neighborhoods and we did go [05:04] around with a a very nice uh a very nice [05:07] uh guide Alimi and she showed us some of [05:12] the political issues. So for example, we [05:14] were in a part of Israel and then on a [05:17] road and there was a wall and then she [05:19] she start to explain oh this wall wall [05:21] here before this wall here it was common [05:24] like suicide bomb mans cross the border [05:28] and bomb restaurants bomb weddings and [05:31] then we need to build this wall and [05:33] after this wall the number of these [05:35] terrorist suicided guys it reduced to [05:37] zero. [05:39] I didn't know that and then I got uh [05:43] angry with how unfair is the treatment [05:46] against the Israeli people and then I [05:48] became a voice in the Congress and then [05:51] you start to see you have a after 2016 [05:53] you have a lot of videos of me in the [05:55] Congress talking about that by the way [05:57] I'm not a congressman anymore because [05:58] the Supreme Court is threating me arrest [06:01] me if I go back to Brazil that's why I'm [06:03] not a congress that's why I'm a former [06:04] congressman nowadays but then you start [06:07] you start to to defend Israel. If you [06:10] have the right moral compass, if you [06:14] have moral clarity, [06:17] is very easy and simple to choose a [06:19] side. [06:20] >> Wow. [06:20] >> I think that's why most of the [06:21] Brazilians support Israel and also [06:23] because we have a lot of evangelicals [06:25] and they are very uh activity in Brazil. [06:29] I think that's super interesting because [06:32] you see Christians in Brazil that read [06:34] the Bible, understand Christian values, [06:37] and they understand that if you love [06:39] God, you you must have a heart for [06:41] Israel. And I think that's where they're [06:43] different from from other Christians [06:45] that we see that um that are kind of [06:48] pushing themselves away from from the [06:50] Jewish people and saying, "Jews run the [06:51] world." But but hey, you're you're [06:53] praying to to Jesus, the Messiah. He's [06:57] he's a Jew, too. So, I mean, if you say [06:59] Jews run the world, but then you pray to [07:00] a Jew that runs the universe. So, I [07:03] don't know about that, but but um you [07:06] know, I first of all, I have to say, you [07:08] know, to us Israelis, it was a big shock [07:11] um to see how the government of Lula [07:13] supported uh supports Hamas chooses to [07:16] side with uh a dictatorship in Iran. It [07:19] almost sounds like you know what you [07:20] said that uh you know each finds their [07:22] own uh DNA and that's why I'm hopeful [07:26] that people in Brazil are are going to [07:29] you know come in their masses to vote [07:31] and express their democratic right um [07:34] and say no to to this socialist [07:37] dictatorship that is is is uh [07:39] unfortunately being implemented. [07:41] >> Have you ever seen the picture of our [07:42] vice president in the inauguration of [07:45] the new president of Iran? No, it's his [07:49] name is Gerald Walami. He is seated [07:51] alongside with leaders of Hi, Hisba [07:56] Hamas. So, uh your your brother uh [07:59] Senator Flavia Bsaro, he's running for [08:01] president against uh socialist Lula. And [08:05] my question is, is he going to uh move [08:08] the embassy to Jerusalem when when he's [08:10] going to win? This is something that is [08:12] very embarrassing to us because we [08:13] should did this movement when my father [08:16] was president because he thought a lot [08:17] about it. The problem is not looking for [08:20] excuse is still our fully [08:23] responsibility. But uh when the pandemic [08:25] came, we changed everything. The focus [08:29] was in health, the focus was internal in [08:32] the country and we did not have that [08:34] much room, you know, to do this kind of [08:37] uh of activities. So it's I I take the [08:40] responsibility. Uh we should move the [08:42] embassy before but uh yes one of his [08:46] commitments that he's doing here is to [08:48] move the embassy to Jerusalem and some [08:51] other issues that he's going to [08:53] announce. [08:54] >> But c can you because you know there [08:56] might people watching. So can you in [08:58] short explain why why is it even [09:01] important to move an embassy to [09:03] Jerusalem? I mean what's what's the [09:04] problem? Because some people may say [09:06] what's the problem? It's in Tel Aviv. I [09:07] mean what's the matter [09:08] >> because you have uh sovereignity on your [09:11] territory and we do believe that uh [09:13] moving through the west Jerusalem is not [09:16] a problem. It's something that everybody [09:18] recognize what what is under debate [09:20] mainly in the United Nations in the east [09:23] Jerusalem and this is the same thing the [09:25] same effect when for example some [09:27] European countries recognize Palestine [09:29] right after the October 7th. So you get [09:32] mad with that because this is a clear [09:33] support that terrorist activity is [09:36] worth. So we want to do the opposite [09:39] message. We want to say okay you are [09:41] going to destroy these people. We are [09:43] going to do something that you do not [09:44] want. So is an answer showing that we [09:47] have this moral clarity and we are on [09:49] the right side. [09:51] >> Okay. Wow. I mean that's I I it would be [09:55] amazing to see to see a Brazilian [09:57] embassy in Jerusalem. I think that [09:59] that's that's uh it's only respecting [10:01] respecting country you know that uh just [10:04] like every other country holds their uh [10:06] embassies in the capital cities. Um yeah [10:09] >> and I think at the end of the day if [10:10] there being more brought pressure for a [10:12] solution about uh at least a territory [10:14] issue. The problem here here is that [10:16] people sometimes they do not realize [10:18] that the problem here is not shared the [10:20] territory between two states because [10:22] Israel tried that at least five times in [10:25] the last uh not in the last century like [10:27] in the last 80 years of existence of [10:29] Israel since 1948 and uh all is that [10:34] parts the Palestinians that say no [10:37] because [10:38] they survived because of the war. When [10:41] you have a war, they receive a lot of [10:43] money from these full leaders mainly [10:45] from these woke country presidents and [10:47] private minister and they get this money [10:49] and they do they turn into missiles, [10:51] they turn it into. That's why they have [10:53] the capability to do all of the [10:57] everything that they are doing. So their [10:58] business is the war. If you end, if you [11:01] bring peace, they have nothing to do and [11:04] people can prosper can bring prosperity [11:07] to to their lives. very basic basic [11:10] thing that you know here but in Brazil [11:11] that they do not know that much is where [11:14] the people prefer to live in Israel [11:18] sometimes even in Gaza they cross the [11:20] border they come to Israel to work and [11:21] then they come back to Gaza or if you go [11:24] not to the West Bank but to Jude Samaria [11:26] if you see there is the zone C B and A [11:29] the zone C is controlled by Israel is [11:32] the territory where people usually even [11:34] the Palestinians like to go and leave [11:36] because you have less corruption you do [11:38] not have to pay a lot of money to all of [11:40] the bureaucracy of the Palestine [11:42] Authority because they get this money [11:44] live with very nice cigars, you know, [11:46] very good life. So this is the reality [11:49] that sometimes people do not see in [11:51] Brazil. [11:53] And you know, I also have to say I think [11:55] that, you know, it's it's a it's a [11:58] commandment in the Bible to to pray for [12:00] the peace of Jerusalem to bless Israel. [12:03] Blessing comes comes your way. This is [12:05] not a magic. This is this is a a [12:07] biblical principle and I think that [12:08] sometimes God is giving uh challenging [12:11] tasks but once once you you know get [12:14] past this challenge I think that this is [12:17] this is a key that opens a lot more [12:20] doors. I think that this is this is [12:21] absolutely going to be amazing but but [12:23] you know I think that a lot of people [12:25] don't understand uh Israel and you have [12:28] visited Israel uh many times. I've seen [12:31] photos of uh of uh you and your brother [12:34] and your father wearing IDF shirts. I [12:36] saw a picture of your father holding on [12:38] his head some apples with IDF shirt [12:41] helping the poor in Brazil. [12:44] And my my question to you, you know, as [12:46] someone who understands and loves [12:48] Israel, what is one thing that people [12:50] don't get about Israel in your opinion? [12:54] >> Is because people sometimes they do not [12:56] get the information through the right [12:58] channels. So the bias of the media and [13:01] mainly the mainstream media is still [13:04] very strong. About 40% of the people [13:06] still get information in Brazil from [13:08] these mainstream media that is full of [13:12] uh leftwing journalists. So the problem [13:14] is the brainwash that they do and I'm [13:17] talking not only about about the the [13:18] media scenario but all of the other [13:20] areas like judges, the prosecutors, uh [13:24] journalists, teachers. So they brainwash [13:27] in the college in the university mainly [13:29] and after that when they graduate they [13:31] go through all of the you know positions [13:33] in the in the society and once they get [13:36] they get this position they go with this [13:39] brainwash ideology is the same thing [13:41] that they do in Gaza with the kids you [13:43] know teaching them to to hate Jewish [13:45] people. this also happens that uh that [13:49] in Brazil in the schools and uh [13:52] unfortunately we have to work against [13:54] that. Something that helps a lot are the [13:57] bills. So once you are not leave anymore [14:00] with your parents and uh you stop [14:02] listening your teacher daily and you [14:04] start to work and pay your bills, they [14:06] start to change their mind. They see [14:09] that the world is not that as pink as [14:11] they thought it was. So this is a a very [14:14] good medicine for young uh brainwashed [14:18] people. [14:19] >> Wow. Well, thank you so much for these [14:21] powerful words and I I wish Brazil all [14:24] the best and Israel all the best. I [14:26] believe that there is something that's [14:27] going to happen. You know, Brazil and [14:29] Israel, there is a reason why the people [14:31] continue to stand with Israel despite [14:33] being lied to by the mainstream media in [14:35] Brazil, by the government of Brazil. So, [14:37] I think that something's going to happen [14:39] and I'm so I'm so excited and happy that [14:41] there are, you know, uh, strong light in [14:43] Brazil coming from the Bossaro family. [14:45] So, thank you, Eduardo, so much for [14:47] Thank you, your words. [14:48] >> I am a big fan of this guy here. Several [14:51] years ago, I saw his first video talking [14:52] that you have two million Arabs living [14:54] here in Israel. And then I said, "Whoa." [14:56] And then I start to follow him and get [14:58] more and more information. That's how [15:00] connecting we get stronger and then [15:03] people got full of the right information [15:07] and then you go maybe some duralis in [15:09] Brazil bosses in Brazil and people go [15:11] there with the Israeli flag because they [15:13] do not feel shame of the stand with [15:16] Israel and we know that the shame is [15:18] only the people who stand with Hamas is [15:20] d and all of these you know terrorist [15:24] terrorist groups. So I say thank you for [15:26] your work [15:27] >> for what what you are doing and it's [15:29] really fruitful. See even in Brazil [15:31] you're collecting some fruits. [15:32] >> I I I hope I'm not going to get arrested [15:34] if I come to Brazil after this interview [15:36] or I should come after the election [15:38] >> next year. [15:38] >> Elections in Brazil are in October. Both [15:41] rounds first and second round is uh in [15:43] October and the inauguration is January [15:46] 5th of uh 2027. [15:50] >> Wow. [15:50] >> Inshallah. [15:51] >> Inshallah. You have a government in [15:53] Brazil that that issued that wanted to [15:55] arrest an Israeli soldier for defending [15:57] his country. [15:58] >> Um so do you have something to say about [16:00] that? [16:01] >> Yes. I mean here in Israel by an [16:02] invitation of uh the Aspara minister [16:05] Amikai Chiki and we connected when we [16:08] were together at the CPAC in United [16:11] States. [16:12] >> He's an awesome guy. [16:13] >> He's a great man. He's a great very [16:15] activity. And and one day I was at my [16:17] home. It was a Sunday and I was almost [16:20] about to sleep. I was laying down in my [16:23] bedroom and then my phone uh rang and [16:27] then when I when I got my phone I only [16:30] saw because when I save a number usually [16:31] I put a flag of the country next to the [16:34] name and then I saw the name going out [16:37] and then starting to appear the Israeli [16:39] flag. [16:40] To be honest, I almost didn't got this [16:44] calling because it was a Sunday, you [16:46] know, you have my wife, I have two kids, [16:48] and then oh no, my friends from Israel [16:50] and then I start to speak Portuguese [16:52] because I thought it was someone from [16:54] embassy. I have some friends there. [16:56] >> And then I realized that the guy on the [16:58] other line is he was speaking in [17:00] English. And then I saw [17:02] >> min minister what is going on at do I [17:05] need your help? And then he provided me [17:07] some informations about a NGO that was [17:10] trying to arrest asked a judge to arrest [17:14] a soldier. His name is Yuvo. He was in [17:17] vacations in in Brazil. And then he [17:20] provided me some information showing the [17:22] connections of this NGO with his bola. [17:26] So what he did is first at this very [17:29] moment uh some uh most sad things [17:32] connected in Brazil. They were [17:34] extracting this soldier because for sure [17:36] he's a war hero. They were trying to [17:39] say, "Oh, he was in a bombing some [17:42] buildings in Gaza. He deserves to go to [17:44] jail. Come on. [17:46] I'll not even debate this question." And [17:49] uh so what we did is I got a connections [17:53] with people in the press. I did a video [17:55] and then I start a barrel of narratives [17:57] in social media where we are very [17:59] strong. And then we overturned the [18:02] narrative in a point that the judge [18:04] dismissed the case. At that time, Uva [18:07] was safe. He ga got out from Brazil [18:10] through Argentina and uh it was a very [18:13] successful because of uh of Mosad also [18:17] some Brazilians and also because I'm [18:19] highly he called me and did we did all [18:22] of that. I and I feel very proud because [18:24] I never in my life thought that one day [18:26] as a congressman I could help you know [18:29] someone that did great in the war. You [18:32] know I was really uh honored and very [18:35] proud that I I did that and the last [18:38] time that I was here in Israel a couple [18:39] of months ago I met him and his family [18:41] it was amazing. His mother made a a [18:45] letter and I'm placing the letter now in [18:47] my office there in Brazil alongside with [18:49] the three other letters that I have from [18:50] Israel. First one from Mosad the general [18:54] director at that time it was Yosi Coen. [18:57] The other one is from the speaker of the [19:00] Knesset Yar living and the other one [19:04] prime minister uh BB Netanyahu and both [19:07] congratulating me in different occasions [19:09] because defending Israel [19:11] >> and one of them is it was because I [19:14] download the A called Rocket Alert. [19:16] >> Okay. And then it was dead in Brazil. [19:19] And then all the time the A was sounding [19:22] alert. And then it's raining missiles in [19:25] in Israel. And then you go to the media [19:27] and no one is talking about it. And then [19:30] I start to talk, you know, a lot a lot [19:33] about some uh some Israel issues and [19:36] they congratulated me and uh yes, it's [19:39] it was very nice to to be together. [19:41] >> A modern righteous among the nations. [19:44] So, thank you for standing strong and [19:46] for not backing down because you know [19:48] the evil forces there, they're always [19:50] going to try and win, but you know, [19:51] light wins darkness. So, thank you so [19:54] much. Thank you so much, brother. Thank [19:55] you.
