I just wanted to say a few [06:34] things about myself. My name isai. I was [06:36] born in Khaifa, Israel. [06:39] nonigat [06:49] new jersey way [06:54] famous for 1976 little league [06:56] championship other that nothing else i [06:59] lived in way new jersey for many year i [07:02] went to frish we became moreigious [07:05] through our time there throughad and [07:15] schi [07:18] missel [07:22] back is [07:24] arm prom my upairs ne [07:28] years i said i'll be back i the unitates [07:32] by myself i [07:43] I was injured in Lebanon place [07:47] it was from [07:50] roadside [07:52] almost killed me [07:54] only [07:56] bulletged and go into my lungs [07:59] was miraculously saved. That was when I [08:02] was 18. After I finished the army [08:05] service, I went back to Shiva for a [08:07] little bit. But then my father came and [08:08] he said, "I sister and brother are [08:10] growing up without you. Come back to the [08:12] United States." I went back to New York [08:15] City. I lived in New York City for years [08:17] at Yoshiva University and then Cardoso [08:20] law school. I'm a law school graduate. [08:22] That's where I married my That's where I [08:23] met my beloved wife Malka. We actually [08:26] decided to get married because we were [08:28] both [08:30] we both excited and I had already been [08:33] pushing for many years. I started an [08:35] organation called Kuma which means arise [08:38] Americans return to Zion. I worked on [08:41] American Jewish [08:43] and with Malka we we started really you [08:47] know getting that ball rolling and a lot [08:48] of people you know have even today [08:51] tonight two people told me that I help [08:53] them in the consciousness of making al [08:57] mal and I got married in Hebron we flew [08:59] to Israel in our second year of law [09:01] school to get married we got married in [09:03] a town that was under fire a town that [09:06] was [09:08] embattled and [09:10] sandbags in the windows [09:12] and we got married there. By the way, I [09:14] see Jay here walking around and Jay is [09:17] one of the people that comes to we have [09:19] a huge shabbat coming up in which tens [09:22] of thousands of people come to Hebron. [09:24] Hebron, two of the four fathers and [09:25] mothers. Hebron, first purchase of the [09:27] Jewish people in the land of Israel. [09:29] Hebron, first place where King David [09:31] ruled. Okay, we got married there. We [09:33] went back to the United States. We [09:35] finished law school and then we moved to [09:37] Israel. We moved to a place called [09:40] which is next to Ramala we worked for RV [09:42] and then it wasn't exciting enough next [09:45] to Ram so we moved to the mount of [09:47] olives in Jerusalem in a neighborhood [09:50] within an Arab neighborhood [09:52] broader Arab neighborhood is called [09:53] Ramud but the neighborh Oh there you are [09:56] the neighborhood that we lived in is [09:58] called a team 120 families on the mount [10:01] of olives [10:03] I got a job because we loveon so much [10:07] The Lord made it such that we that I [10:09] got a job being the spokesman of the [10:11] town of Hebron and I've been working [10:13] there for last 10 years. Uh since we I [10:15] was working at quite a distance from [10:17] Jerusalem we moved to a place called [10:19] Erat. Do you know ERAT? Great place [10:23] great place for Anglos Fabulous place [10:26] for Anglos and we just welcomed 100 new [10:30] this summer. Okay, we have a great new [10:33] mayor and happens to be that I also was [10:36] elected at my first elected position uh [10:38] as councelman in the town of EFR. So I'm [10:41] a councilman there learning the nitty [10:43] gritty about Israeli politics. I like to [10:45] joke that it's, you know, I'm finally [10:47] going to school to study socialism. So, [10:49] it's just a joke though it's totally [10:51] true and and we we're learning how to [10:54] run this country. About two years ago, [10:57] Minister Benv, who lives in Chevrone, [10:59] Kara Chevrone, tapped me to help him go [11:02] to the United States on a trip to the [11:04] United States. Maybe you saw some of it [11:07] was widely covered. We were in Florida [11:10] were in Marolago, then we flew to Yale [11:13] where we had a great talk of Yale, but [11:15] students outside were pting us with [11:17] water bottles. The police wouldn't do a [11:19] damn thing. And then from there, we went [11:22] to New York. We spoke in the five [11:24] towns. We walked six. [11:27] We walked 20 km with security driving [11:30] behind us the whole time. Amazing. [11:32] Really, Minister Benvier, endless [11:35] energy, boundless energy. I'm jealous of [11:37] him. He's my age, but I wish I had the [11:39] energy he has in any case, uh we were [11:41] there and then finally we went down to [11:43] DC. I helped him with my DC connections. [11:46] That's right. We spoke with the one of [11:48] the foreign affairs committee people and [11:51] a lot of other people. and we had a [11:52] great time and was exposure for him a [11:54] person who really hasn't been outside of [11:56] this country too much and was a great [11:59] exposure for him and also he got to [12:01] speak to a lot of people audiences like [12:03] this in English he speak English I [12:06] translated for him [12:08] but his messages were so simple Israel [12:12] needs to have selfdefense. Israel needs [12:15] to have the ability Israel need have the [12:17] ability to defend themselves. And the [12:19] jihad cannot run a everywhere he went he [12:22] spoke about similar issues. The other [12:24] day I was accosted by some wonderful [12:27] press. We have here folks from presse. [12:28] God bless you guys. Thank you for [12:29] getting our message out to the world. Um [12:33] and we hope that you try to understand [12:35] even a little bit better what we're [12:36] doing here in Israel which is trying to [12:37] survive and thrive. [12:46] Journal [12:49] in America [12:52] Texan [12:54] Texas Texas myas [12:57] honorary Texan [12:59] so tricky so hard to understand about [13:03] death penalty for murderers so hard [13:05] about that not so hard you go you for [13:18] hotel like existence in our prisons [13:22] let me tell you a story before you clap [13:24] let me tell you story you clap after [13:25] hear the storyck this out we were on the [13:28] campaign trail and by the way danel has [13:30] made it that we have events every night [13:33] this week i was in rananaes [13:36] last week And tonight we're going to [13:39] the north this week. Awesome. Nahari. [13:42] Awesome stuff. Satot. On the campaign [13:45] trail I meet a guy. He goes, "What are [13:47] you doing?" I say, "I'm running with [13:48] Beng." He goes, "Let me tell you a [13:50] story." This happened. I could tell you [13:51] which cafe was the agro cafe in what is [13:55] it? Same it was great place. We bumped [13:57] into a guy. He says to me, "Let me tell [13:59] you a story." He says, "I am a [14:02] photographer for Israel's defense [14:04] establishment. I was a photograer in [14:06] the army in police and in the prisons [14:10] this is what he told me he said to me I [14:12] one day I walked into a maxum security [14:15] prisonened [14:17] murderers [14:19] people [14:21] he said to me I saw this own eyes one of [14:25] the murderers into a room with one of [14:28] the jailers [14:30] to the jail give me your [14:41] sitation [14:43] sitation we is [14:46] run run run prisoners in terrorism from [14:51] prisons and there was no deterrance [14:55] there was no deterrance bu if you kill [14:57] the jew you got social security from the [14:59] palestinian authority and then you went [15:00] to a nice prison was no det minister [15:06] that [15:07] you [15:13] are [15:15] understands [15:17] let me tell you another thing that min [15:19] talk about so simple he has tri [15:24] of guns in jewish in country years [15:40] So everything about security also other [15:44] things I tell you another little story [15:46] the other day not the other day sorry [15:49] ros this year a very special day rosna [15:54] we went my family and I went back to the [15:56] mount of olives because that's where we [15:58] like to [16:07] my son and woken up who we were staying [16:11] Josh wander we were woken up 5:40 in the [16:14] morning rana 630 in the morning we were [16:17] standing in line at the temple mount [16:21] 6:30 in the morning we were handed out [16:23] booklets from which to pray any you know [16:27] you used to be [16:37] We prayed for hours and people [16:42] andverets [16:44] up [16:49] now some [16:53] revolution toal [16:56] נועם עוד כמה זמן הוא מגיע? כמה? שתי [16:58] דקות. אחלה. [17:01] So [17:04] before minister ben here I say one thing [17:07] to you this is inent [17:11] for you man see [17:14] about voting our letter is bet by the [17:18] way if you don't know you consider it [17:21] for yourselves. Here's my baby pitch to [17:24] you. Here's my tiny pitch. [17:26] There a lot of people talking good [17:28] stuff but not everybody can get it done. [17:32] Not everybody [17:36] Israel systems. These arealied [17:40] systems. You don't change the police so [17:42] easily around here. You don't do it. [17:45] You don't change the world of which [17:48] he's added units in the army in the [17:52] magav and bring them in without talking [17:55] bad about our brothers and sisters just [17:57] bringing them in. You don't make these [17:59] changes so easily. Not everybody's got [18:01] the ability to make those changes. You [18:04] can like him, not like him. I tell [18:06] people you don't have to marry him. You [18:08] don't have to have him over for lunch. [18:10] You just elect the hammer. Somebody who [18:13] takes care of business. Somebody knows [18:15] how to manage these tricky [18:20] systems. What the wording for tricky [18:23] organations? What? [18:28] That's the I was looking for but in [18:30] English [18:32] systems. Not everybody knows how to do [18:35] it. In years, this man has made a [18:38] revolution and that's the kind of man I [18:40] work for. A lot of people are like you [18:42] throw in your beng like yeah I do I wan [18:46] get it done I wan make safer I know [18:50] literally my wife and kids are safer on [18:53] on theets and on theads of because we [18:57] stronger today and that's something [18:59] amazing last story [19:03] יש דקות hasn't changed still [19:10] people around [19:12] some pointory [19:16] and that's the following. [19:18] How many people here by the way are [19:20] really like have arrived in last years? [19:24] How many people have arrived in the last [19:25] 10 years? Come on, give a round of [19:28] applause. Awesome. [19:32] My my final story to you for tonight. [19:35] Actually, just joking. I'll tell you [19:36] many more stories. But my story for my [19:39] final story for now is the other day my [19:41] insurance guy called me. His name is [19:43] Israel, my car insurance guy. He calls [19:45] me. He says, "Iai, I have good news for [19:47] you. I wan to renew your insurance." I [19:48] said, "Great. You call me every year." [19:50] And he says, "This year 400 cheaper." [19:54] Is that you Israel? Is this a joke? Is [19:56] this a put on? When does in Israel do [19:58] they tell you that something is cheaper? [20:00] Never. It doesn't happen. I said, "Thank [20:03] you very much." I'm working for you [20:05] working for you said great then I found [20:07] out that the reason that it's gotten [20:10] cheaper is because car theft has fallen [20:13] almost in half it's below the 2006 level [20:17] where we had twice as many cars and [20:20] simply put the insurance companies had [20:22] to lower their prices. Why do you think [20:24] that is because our police are stronger [20:27] because our infrastructure is stronger [20:28] because they catching the bad guys they [20:30] getting them at home. [20:41] last before [20:47] I love AV I really do I don't in Aviv I [20:51] in the mountains up there far away [20:55] sometimes in our beloved country there's [20:57] a division between the mountains and tel [20:58] Aviv where we live Jude and Samaria [21:01] Jerusalem [21:12] energetic [21:14] unbrid un night life [21:18] science mums jerusalem ancient [21:22] conservative biblical are these two [21:25] different things this is one thing [21:27] that's the beauty of israel we have both [21:30] and remember they used to talk about [21:31] Lebanon that you could ski in the [21:32] morning and swim in the evening. That's [21:34] us biblical and ancient in the morning [21:37] and you could do the funel at night. [21:39] Those things are united. We have to be [21:41] in parallel. Weve got these two amazing [21:44] energies and weve got keep them united. [21:47] We got to keep ourselves united. So I [21:48] invite you to come up and visit us in [21:50] Jerusalim area and I tell you that I [21:54] come down here and I say I want [21:56] interrupt you. I want the number for [21:58] Israel please. I want the number for [22:00] Israel please my insurance go down. It [22:03] has and people asked people around and [22:05] your guy is I'll give you number talk [22:08] about here tonight.
