“Stop stealing our money!” “Why should America send Israel so much money?” More and more Jew-haters are coming into my comments lately claiming Israel steals their taxpayer money, so let’s make some order here… On an average year, the US gives Israel 3.8 billion, which accounts for 0.054% of America’s federal budget, $7 trillion. 0.054%! US aid to Israel is just 7% of US foreign aid spending. 7%! Oh, and 86% of US aid to Israel has to be spent in America. And out of those billions, a large part of it goes to the Iron Dome, which is defensive and has never hurt a single human. (If you’re opposed to the funding of the Iron Dome, you are openly calling for the murder of Jews.) And one more thing… Ambassador Huckabee told me personally, if there’s someone on the receiving end of the US Israel relationship, it’s the US, not Israel. Between the tech, the intel, the medical breakthroughs, and more, Israel gives the US much more than the US gives Israel. That’s not me saying it. That’s the United States ambassador to Israel. So, there goes another lie about Israel debunked… What else you got?

I absolutely love this! I will share my extended thoughts on the Torah portion tomorrow and again before Shabbat, but this week’s portion, and specifically one verse in the portion, deserves a post of its own. This week’s Torah portion is absolutely jam-packed with gems, but I want to focus on one verse.

Just throwing this out there. For a while, I’ve been very frustrated by a problem that has an easy solution. New Olim need jobs. Israeli companies often need new Olim. They just don’t know each other and no one has created that bridge, which is nuts because it’s a win-win. I was thinking about doing a daily post either with an open position at a company that could be relevant for Olim or about a new oleh looking for a job. Every day, a role or an oleh. Watya think? Would this be helpful? How can I make it even more effective? Gimme some feedback here. Right now it’s still an idea in my head but the more I think about it, the more I think I need to do this. Thoughts? How can I make this idea even better?
