International Conference in Jerusalem: Ebenezer Operation Exodus Stands with Israel Amidst War

In a remarkable demonstration of solidarity and faith, Ebenezer Operation Exodus held its International Conference in Jerusalem last month. Amid the ongoing war, more than 100 participants from 26 countries gathered at the Ramada Hotel, making this one of the few international conferences in Israel during this critical time. The event showcased the unwavering commitment of Christians worldwide to support Israel and the Jewish people.

Ebenezer Operation Exodus, an international Christian ministry, is dedicated to assisting Jewish people in making Aliyah—returning to their homeland of Israel—and proclaiming God’s kingdom purposes for this return. With representatives and volunteers in over 50 nations, the ministry combines prayer, intercession, and hands-on support for Jewish communities globally. “Whenever we help a Jewish family come home, we are witnessing the fulfillment of God’s word,” shared Gian Luca Morotti, a ministry leader from Italy and member of Ebenezer’s international board.

The conference theme, “Light in the Darkness” (Isaiah 60:1-2), resonated deeply amidst the backdrop of conflict. The event featured sharing from national coordinators, prayer, networking opportunities, and special guests, including Doron Almog, Chairman of the Jewish Agency. Participants united to reflect on the prophetic significance of Aliyah and to strengthen connections with Israeli brothers and sisters.

“Meeting in Jerusalem has always been the highlight of our work,” said Morotti. “Despite the challenges, our gathering was a powerful statement of faith and solidarity.”

Holding a conference in a war-torn region presented significant risks and logistical hurdles, including flight cancellations and security concerns. Yet, the decision to proceed underscored Ebenezer’s dedication. Remarkably, registrations increased following the October escalation of tensions.

“Coming to Israel at such a time was the only way to demonstrate our care for the Jewish people,” Morotti emphasized. “Praying for hostages, soldiers, and the general population right here in the Land made a profound impact.”

The presence of international delegates brought comfort and encouragement to Israelis living under constant threat. Participants shared testimonies of unity, faith, and the tangible presence of God experienced during the conference. Morotti shared a heartfelt message for Israelis, urging them not to give up. “There are more people than you realize out there who have chosen to stand with you, praying for you, and doing all they can to see God’s restoration in your midst.”

Despite rising antisemitism and geopolitical tensions, Ebenezer Operation Exodus continues to assist Jewish people in returning to Israel. Recent efforts have expanded in regions such as Latin America and parts of Europe. The ongoing war has tested the organization’s resolve, but its mission remains steadfast.

The conference also delivered a sobering yet inspirational call to Christians worldwide. Ebenezer’s leadership reminded believers that indifference to God’s plan for Israel is not an option. “Sooner or later, the issue of Israel and the restoration of the Jewish people to their promised Land will knock on the door of every heart,” said Morotti. “I would never want to be on the side of those who take lightly prophecies like Zechariah 12:3, where God warns that all who oppose His plan for Jerusalem will harm themselves.” He cautioned against downplaying God’s covenantal love for His ancient people and the risks of ignoring His prophetic work.

As the conference concluded, Ebenezer’s message to Christians and Jewish communities alike was clear. To Christians, the ministry urged practical expressions of support for Israel. To the Jewish people, they extended friendship, solidarity, and a readiness to assist.

Ebenezer Operation Exodus invites believers to join their mission. Resources such as the YouTube series Aliyah News provide insight into their work.
