The Congregation "Yir Hachaim" ("City of Life") in South District of Israel is pastored by Michael and Dina Beener. Located in the city of Sderot, only 3 kilometers from the Gaza stripץ Begun as a "home meeting" for students of the local university 15 years ago. Today the Congregation reunites every week many families hungry for listening to the voice of God and stands as a lighthouse in a city continuously targeted by Islamic extremist terror rocket attacks. The congregation is also committed to the city working actively as a charity foundation helping the poor and needy, holocaust survivors and drug addict rehabilitation centers knowing that showing the love of Yeshua is the best way to share the gospel to our "heart blinded" people in the Holy Land. Thanks to free concerts, "Jesus' film" distribution and monthly professional guided tours by Bible places, around the country as strategy a lot of people in the city has already heard about Yeshua. Many of them follow the "Alpha course" where they discover more about the real Messiah of Israel. We have designed many projects for this kind of community service that include special activities, concerts, goods distributions and more.
