The Iranian regime is being strangled. And we need to be patient enough to see it through. We’re watching inflation numbers of 90 percent in Iran. The rial is 300 million to $1. We haven’t seen these numbers before. On the ground, people are buying rice at 200 percent inflation, oil at 300 percent inflation, minimum wage is $72 a month. This is a once in a generation opportunity to get rid of a deadly genocidal regime that wants all Americans dead. On Fox News Sunday with @mikeyonfox: Too little, too late. Iran’s regime is holding the Strait of Hormuz hostage and now they want to be paid to reopen it. This is an international waterway. It’s not a bargaining chip that should be held hostage by terrorists. If you’re having deja vu, you should. In June we had the MOU, which was a very similar offer. All they had to do was open the Strait and promise not to work on nuclear weapons. And what did they want from us? Everything and the kitchen sink. Removal of sanctions. Blockades removed. Another one from @cnn: This regime will collapse. We can call it whatever we want, but it’s inevitable. The Iran example is fundamentally different from every other regime change we’ve attempted. Our boots on the ground won’t be American soldiers. They’ll be Iranian freedom fighters who have told us for decades that this regime has to go. Even if the war ends tomorrow, this regime has to deal with its own people. They can’t put food on the table. They can’t create jobs. And if we go back to kinetic war, it has to be with the endeavor of collapsing this regime — not just getting them to the negotiating table. Because we all know what that means. They’ll run circles around us. And even if they agree to a deal, they won’t keep it. A regime with deadly weapons, who kills thousands of its own, is not going to do well by the West.
