Mass Pro-Palestinian protests prompt Israeli cosmetics company to shut down its flagship store in British capital.
The London branch of Israeli cosmetics company AHAVA, which has attracted many loyal buyers over the years, has also become the center of mass pro-Palestinian protests, prompting the company's management to give in and shut it down.
Nearly 800 Christians joined an Israel solidarity event opposite the houses of Parliament this week. People from across Britain turned out to the event, which was organised by Mordecai Voice.
Derbyshire pastor Tim Gutmann, who organised the rally, said: “I believe that a huge voice of love and support for Israel is now boldly rising from the UK church, and with all our hearts want Israel and the Jewish people to know at this crucial time that they are not alone and we will not be silent.”
As the summer comes to an end, we at Yuval art school are preparing for the second year of exciting activities. As we reported earlier this year, we had a wonderful blessing with all the different subjects offered to the over 100 students of last year.
Last week (on Aug.23.rd) we had an open evening in order to present the new subjects for the year and also to give the pupils the opportunity to get an idea about the different subjects, to get to know the teachers and to register.
Major clashes broke out between Palestinian and Israeli armed forces in mid August, which many analysts say might portend fuller warfare looming on the horizon. Sparked off by the worst Islamic terror attacks against Israeli citizens in several years, the clashes left scores dead and wounded on both sides. The initial Palestinian terrorist assaults were launched from the Egyptian Sinai Peninsula by a militant Muslim group closely linked to the radical Hamas movement, which repeated its calls during the month for Israel’s ultimate destruction. An Egyptian government investigation later revealed that three Egyptian Muslim terrorists took part in the Palestinian raids—an ominous development indeed.
Jerusalem Post by Caroline Glick 08/25/2011: American media superstar Glenn Beck’s visit to Israel this week was a revealing and remarkable event. It revealed what it takes to be a friend of Israel. And it revealed the causes of Israel’s difficulty in telling its enemies from its friends.
Dear Hillary,
You and your administration have relentlessly demanded that we apologize to the various and assorted lunatic dictators and jihadists in our region. Evidently, in your opinion, we are the cause of every conflagration in the Middle East. So here, dear Madame Secretary of State, are our apologies.
Jerusalem Post by Caroline Glick - 08/16/11: Applying Israeli law to Judea and Samaria would be an appropriate reaction to Palestinian unilateralism.
The Palestinians’ decision to place the issue of establishing a Palestinian state before the United Nations for a vote next month repudiates the principles of the 1993 Oslo peace framework, through which the Palestinian Authority was formed out of the PLO.
You may not know it, but for the past couple of weeks, students and young people have been protesting throughout Israel about impossible rental prices, rising food prices and in general, the extremely high cost of living for the ordinary Israeli citizen. These protests have captured the attention of the entire country day after day.
The main reason is that there is a huge lack of available housing for people with lower income. It is very hard or almost impossible to find rentals for young people who have work in the cities, for students and new couples.
That which has been is what will be,
That which is done is what will be done,
And there is nothing new under the sun. (Ecclesiastes 1:9)
These words, written by King Solomon 3000 years ago perfectly describe the ongoing charade of the “peace process” between Israel and their Arab neighbors. History merely repeats itself; supposedly new initiatives are really not new at all. It has all been done before. Nothing is new under the sun.
The United Nations has made the democratic State of Israel the target of incessant condemnation while neglecting its mandate in challenging the oppressive regimes around the world.
The following film clip uncovers the factors behind the UN’s bias against Israel. We encourage you to view the clip, forward to friends, and partner with us to counter the hypocrisy and expose the truth.
Israel's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Danny Ayalon explains the historical facts relating to the Israeli Palestinian conflict. The video explains where the terms "West Bank", "occupied territories" and "67 Borders" originated and how they are incorrectly used and applied.
This week, Messianic Jewish teenagers from across Israel are gathering for the annual summer camp known as 'Katsir' (harvest). Maoz Israel is proud to be one of the sponsors of this camp, and some of our staff (including your friendly blogger) are volunteering at the camp this week!
This short film describes what the camp is about and how it impacts the lives of the next generation. Please keep our youth in prayer this week.
Shalom to all!! It has been a very long time since I last wrote and I must say that I have missed you all, my family in Messiah. But it's been a time of much reflection and recuperation, and since these updates have always been a result of 90% inspiration and 10% perspiration, or aspiration, or respiration, or whatever I can call it, today after a long, long time, I once again felt the familiar nudge of the Holy Spirit motivating me to sit down and write again. During this long "break", we haven't stopped telling the story of a tragedy turned to triumph that the Lord accomplished through our family, and by family I don't mean just our immediate one, but all of us together as family in Yeshua, as we prayed, cried, travailed and rejoiced before the Lord together these past 3 years. The result has been a testimony that edifies and inspires all who hear it, and it is not done yet.
Jerusalem Post By Caroline Glick 07/11/2011 22:24: The three lessons of the Second Lebanon War taught us to be wary of appeasers both here and in the US.
Five years ago this week, Iran’s Lebanese proxy opened war with Israel. The war lasted 34 days, during which Hezbollah launched more than 4,000 missiles against Israel. Now five years later, under US President Barack Obama, America is pushing a policy that drastically escalates the chance that a new war between Israel and Iran’s Lebanese army will break out again in the near future.
