 Israel at One. 1949
"Who has ever heard of such a thing? Who has ever seen such things? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children" - Isaiah 66:7-8 |

Israel's Memorial Day Israel's 64th Independence Day
This Evening Israel remembers and mourns for her fallen Soldiers - and for the many men, women, children, and infants whose lives were tragically killed in terror attacks.
What that you asked? Can a country be born in one day or a Nation brought forth in a moment?
I believe Israel was born in one day...and brought forth in a moment by the good promises of the Lord... Yet not devoid of huge vision, fierce fighting, hunger, heroism, hard work, tragic loss, and incomprehensible pain...

Wednesday, May 25th at Sundown we transition as a Nation from tears of mourning 'Memorial Day' to tears of Joy and hope celebrating our 64th Independence Day. ...And this great drama of the people of Israel continues to unfold before our eyes... Thank you God. |

Generational Blessing!
I had the privilege to read the following verse from the pulpit of my childhood Synagogue on my Bar Mitzvah Day!
"I will bring back my exiled people Israel; they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit. I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them," says the Lord your God".Amos 9:14-15
Promises fulfilled
The State of Israel was reborn on May 14th, 1949. [5th of Hebrew Month of Iyar]
In 1983 I went up to Zion [Aliya]"immigrated" to Israel - and like many others in my generation, was reborn that same year! |

"Not one of all the Lord's good promises to the house of Israel failed; every one was fulfilled." Joshuah 21:45
