Persecution of believers in Yeshua as Lord and Messiah, the Son of God, is not a new thing in Israel.  Rather, it is a phenomenon that has returned to Israel, for opposition to the gospel and persecution against those who believe the good news began in Israel already from the days since Yeshua was born.

“The Shoah wasn't a crime against humanity, but a crime against the Jews”.  (Eli Wiesel)

Holocaust Remembrance Day, Monday, May 2nd. At 10:00 AM sirens wailed throughout Israel bringing life to a standstill for 2 minutes. Cars stopped, even in the middle of busy streets, their drivers exiting to stand in respectful silence. Pedestrians and shoppers stood motionless as statues, many with heads bowed, some weeping or mouthing a silent prayer, honoring the memory of the 6 million Jews slaughtered simply for being Jewish.

0427wilkerson.jpgDavid Wilkerson, author of The Cross and the Switchblade and founder of World Challenge Ministries, died in a car crash today, Charisma and CBN are reporting. CBN reports that Wilkerson, 79, was driving and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Wilkerson was driving east on U.S. 175 in Texas Wednesday afternoon, and moved into the opposite lane where a tractor trailer was driving westbound. The truck driver saw the car and tried to move out of the way, but still collided with the pastor's car head on, according to Public Safety Trooper Eric Long.

There are many reasons that Netanyahu is incapable of stating the truth and ending the 18-year policy nightmare in which Israel is an active partner in its own demise.

I am so proud of all of you that are going to Poland this summer with Yad b’Yad. You are joining the hundreds of thousands of Jewish youth who have gone to Auschwitz to remember this dark period of our history.

Your willingness to share in these memories gives me comfort.

What you see will help you understand why we say “Never Again.”  For there is darkness in the human soul, and we must never forget.

Like most kids my age I hated school.  For me it wasn't the mass of homework or the boring teachers.  It wasn't getting up every morning, every single morning, at 6:45 a.m., early, every, single, morning.  And it didn't bother me walking five miles to school through the New England blizzards, or the hurricanes, the torrential downpours, snowstorms, coastal floods or Nor’ Easterner’s.

I didn’t even mind not being chosen for the football, basketball, hockey, baseball, tennis or chess teams.

I hated school because of David Cohen.

Once again we found ourselves glued to the TV as Egyptians rose up against their Pharaoh, crying out for freedom and... JOBS!

Who could resist feeling compassion for these citizens who wanted a chance to pursue a better life?  To find an exit from virtual serfdom and destitution?

Out of this emotional and wrenching upheaval, Western politicians and the media began to hope and pray for a miracle, a western-type “instant democracy.”

Western columnists happily pointed out that few – very few – protesters were burning U.S. and Israeli flags. Indeed, most of the demonstrators were peaceful. All these were hopeful signs.
