Last year, there was a lot of debate over the trips of British evangelist David Hathaway to our country, and especially the numbers of Israelis he was claiming to reach with the gospel.

For those who don't know, Mr. Hathaway has been back in Israel twice since then, and he is due here again next week (21-23/march).

This time I am asking to focus on a more serious matter:  Hathaway's ongoing claim that Israeli shepherds from all over the country keep begging him to come back... and are giving sacrificially to bring him here.

Since this man repeatedly claims a partnership with "50 local congregations from 16 regions" - and is using that claim to raise funds from well-meaning believers who think the Israeli Body needs him - I am hoping that some of our leaders will find it in their hearts to meet with him next week and lovingly confront him.

The Forgotten Milestone of the LORD:
Rosh Ha-Hodashim, sundown 11/march.

Hannah Weiss, Restorers of Zion

Literally translating as "Head of the Months / the New Things", the first day of the first month was commanded by G-d (Exod.12:2) as the Jewish New Year, and for counting the years since Israel became a nation.

The Talmud recognizes the first truth, and Scripture confirms the second, but at some point in Jewish history both truths were abandoned.

Today, Rosh Ha-Hodashim is arguably the most neglected of the LORD's "appointed times" for Israel... receiving less attention than even marginal holidays like "Tu B'Shvat" and "Lag B'Omer".

And after second-Temple times, rabbinic leaders not only stopped counting the years since the Exodus, but made it impossible for the Jewish community to count them.

Ever wonder why? We did.

On March 11 there is a New Moon. Will you see it?What is it that you will see?

This New Moon also marks the beginning of the first month in God's redemptive calendar year given to Israel, leading up to the Passover on the Full Moon two weeks later.

My main purpose here is to try to shed some light on a subject which seems to have been darkened by human reasoning, rather than understood by faith in God's own Word. We believe by faith, not by sight.

The "War on Israel in December 2012" Prophecy

After nearly three months, the report is now available.

One reason it's taken so long is because of the unexpected survey results. They raised vital questions about discernment, Body leadership, modern prophets, and other issues impacting the next generation of believers.

Even more unexpected was our exploration of the authors of that disturbing prediction, which revealed the reasons for their preoccupation with Israel. One thing led to another, and the simple survey feedback expanded into a series of documentary reports.
Wise Money Israel | January 11, 2013 | Wise Money Israel |

Wise Money Israel recently interviewed the Zury Ilan, Chief Analyst at Vineyards Capital Market (where WMI’s founder works) regarding the future value of the Israel currency: the shekel. According to Mr. Ilan, the correct economic value of the shekel is 3.5 shekels for $1 USD. The current exchange rate is 3.747 (December 26, 2012), representing a 7% potential upside for the shekel from current levels. A $100,000 investment in the Israeli market today would be worth $107,000 if this were to occur, in addition to capital gains/dividends from the investments themselves. Why will the shekel strengthen?

“Good Friday” would have been a Sabbath as being the first full day of Passover; and I believe it is called Good Friday because believers — after the fact (and the Holy Spirit from the beginning) — would have understood that what took place the day before was actually the greatest victory of all ages and the essence of the Good News and the New Covenant:  Yeshua the Messiah came into the world to save sinners, and to bury our sins with Him, fulfilling the beginning of the Feast of Unleavened Bread at the appointed time on the 15th of the first month! HalleluYah!

The Hebrew/Jewish/Messianic roots of New Testament faith are found in the Word of God given to and through Israel.

Yeshua was conceived at the end of the Hebrew calendar year (12th month of Adar in March), and born at the end of the  Western calendar year (12th month of December).   He was conceived in the turn of the first season of the 'Christian' year, Winter/Spring, and was born at the turn of the last season, Fall/Winter.  Between these two events, marked by Purim and Hanukkah – Jewish holidays established by the people celebrating God’s faithful covenantal interventions on their behalf – is the redemptive calendar established by YHVH to Israel from Passover thru the Day of Atonements up till the Feast of Booths, and celebrated by the Church as the Lord’s Supper:  remembering His death until He comes.  This timeline shows a harmony between the Jewish and Western Christian calendars.

Our Father in Heaven, thank-you for your goodness and long-suffering to your people Israel.  You have sent the Holy Spirit to the world to convict of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment.  Sin is not believing in Your Son, Yeshua, as the Messiah.  Our people still harden their hearts and stubbornly stiffen their necks against the truth of the gospel, despite all that we have done till now.

מאמר זה אינו מאמר מדעי אשר נכתב על ידי מדען, אך עוסק בנושא מדע ואמונה. במאמר זה אנסה להשיב על השאלה: "האם המדע סותר את האמונה?"

“What we are watching in very real time is not a reality show. This is reality. This is not ‘Survivor’ where you get chopped off the island. This is about survival of the Jewish state and it is not a game. For us it is truly a matter of life and death! It is a matter of ‘to be or not to be.’” Former Israel Ambassador to the United Nations, Dan Gillerman

At Dugit Messianic Outreach Centre we are always open to volunteers who desire to come and serve with us in our ministry. Volunteers not only have the opportunity serve the Lord in Israel  but also to come to know Israeli believers.

Recently, a Canadian nurse named Julie came to Tel Aviv and volunteered at Dugit Centre, having been moved by the Lord to assist and love those in need that we minister to everyday. In her time serving with us, she was always willing to listen to and pray for individuals who came to Dugit. We kept her very busy and her heart and example were an inspiration to all of us.

After a nearly three-year battle for citizenship, Renate Kaufman (previously referred to as Rose Keller), a Holocaust Survivor who was unlawfully denied aliyah on the basis of holding Messianic Jewish beliefs, received some exciting news last week. The Ministry of Interior has granted her permanent residency with citizenship to follow!
